I know it's early, but I know I ovulated and I know we dtd on that day, and yesterday I could not stop going for a pee.... Like bursting all of a sudden. So I done a test (ebay ic bulk tests lol) and there was a faint line... Waited an hour done another one... Fainter line. This morning... Still a faint line... And then an hour or so ago i just couldn't stop thinking about it and done another one and another faint line. Pics included. Early bfp starting to form? Lines are definitely pink and appear straight away. (only opened tests to get a good picture) don't worry

I went and had a cup of coffee then had to go do another test. And the lines back...... 🙄🙄🙄 Fainter than yesterday's but darker than an hour ago?? How is that possible. Someone help please lol

I'm so glad I didn't tell my husband last night. I was sooooo close to running to bed after the 12oclock test and just telling him but I managed to hold it in. Now this? I'm walking around in a daze right now... I don't know what to think. Am I pregnant. Is this a chemical? What's going on 😭😭😭

They aren't that accurate and will not show 12hrs of progression. There are lots of factors, including urine concentration. HPTs are designed to say 'yep, there's hcg present', nothing more. I mentioned I had a line go 'fainter' line with my DD's pregnancy, my only successful pregnancy out of 4.

Call your GP, explain how stressed you are and ask for a blood test. Do some baking, knitting or read a thriller. Tell yourself that in 2-3 weeks you can hopefully get a reassurance scan. But fgs, don't test now until at least Monday!

Tell your DH. It's upsetting you. Tell him you are unsure. Get him to make tea and source biscuits.

OP the early weeks really are a roller coaster. I’ve had faint lines slowly darken and a healthy baby appear in nine months. I’ve had super dark lines end in chemicals. And medium dark lines with perfect progression turn into missed miscarriages die to chromosome disorders. Sadly a line on a test in the early days just won’t tell you anything beyond currently there is HCG in your system.

My advice would be to wait a week then get a digi.

Pregnancy tests aren't an exact science unfortunately. I have honestly been where you are: the squinters, the stressing, the cost! I know now that if you're pregnant with a healthy pregnancy then no amount of testing will change that fact. It really is a matter of wait and see. There is not one thing you can do currently to change the outcome for good or bad. Do you know the serenity prayer? I strongly recommend you read it

I think I need to take some of this advice! Got my bloods taken on Tuesday so should get the results back next week and that will tell me for definite. The docter wasn't even going to make me have them after I said I got a faint line so I think I need to stop testing too, it's so hard when you see people on here with the perfect progression them positive CBD :(

I know what you mean @mrsgtobe97 I was expecting a darker line today after last night's. And I get very very faint lines and then a darker line an hour later. But still lighter than yesterday's 😢 I have no idea what to think.

And I understand what your all saying, but everyone's said that it should be getting darker, and it isn't today. I feel so low right now 😢

Can you not buy a different test? A clear blue? Then that will tell you more accurate

You definitely need to try different tests! I come on this thread anxious every day for you

I think you need to lay off the testing a little! Obsessively doing it won’t change the outcome...I did one test 3 days after I missed my period and got my BFP when I was 5 weeks gone and it was an obvious positive, I could’ve done it sooner butI might have had different results and be worried/confused when I shouldn’t have been. Maybe try again in a day or two?

You're going to make yourself so stressed and ill. Everyone on this chat can see your lines, but you must be so so early still, and your body is just adapting to everything that's happening. Like everyone has stated above, you need to try and relax, and calm yourself.

Please please stay away from all the tests, you should wait until Monday.

And I would ideally order some other brand ones, for next week.

Take it easy, and talk to your DH, just express that you're struggling. It may help slightly! X

I definitely am not trying to make you upset or cause worry, BUT I want to give my honest opinion. You had your first very faint positive back on 29th April. That was 11 days ago. I would expect better lines by now. BUT having said that you’ve only been using the one brand of test and they may just be a batch that doesn’t contain much dye.
There needs to be at least some level of hcg for a test to show ANY line, so at this point in time you ARE pregnant. Whether it will lead to a chemical or successful pregnancy nobody knows, and testing every few hours won’t alter either outcome.
For your sanity just stop testing for now. Perhaps try a frer when they arrive. But not for another 48-72 hours as that’s how long it takes for hcg to double.
I really would also consider letting your oh know what you’re going through. I’m sure he’d be so upset to know that you’re struggling and haven’t reached out to him for his support.

I'm trying to stay calm but I feel horrible. I've waited so long for this and I've been so happy the past couple of days, now I just want to cry.

@Mabeebabee87 know exactly how you feel I'm in the same boat, I'd phone your gp Monday and ask to get bloods done but maybe even just speaking to a gp will calm your nerves. I'd speak to your husband too he won't want you feeling like this on your own x

Think you must feel the same as me but I'm overwhelmed with anxiety this has been ongoing for me for a whole month now and not sure how much longer I can take it. No af since 20th March, awaiting blood test results that were meant to be in on Thursday, a mix of faint BFP and negatives, countless people saying chemical pregnancy or false bfp's and it should be this or that, but I've had no bleeding no pain no nothing. Feel at a dead end 😭. Can't do anything at the weekend either which is making it 100x worse.

Oh I'm so sorry OP. All of this is so stressful for you. If it is an early loss (and I'm not saying it is) you should know fairly quickly - bleeding starts not long after the test goes negative (a matter of hours in my experience)

I just took a picture of all of today's ones. They all look different and they all look so light 😢 and yes I'm aware I've done 4 tests within a few hours, but I'm freaking out here and I keep doing more to try and calm myself down 😭

I really would look at getting a different brand, even if it's just the cheapy strips! They're starting to look how they did when you first tested, and as above comment mentioned they should be getting a lot darker as it's 11 days since the first test, but I really think it could be the tests you're using. They possibly don't have much dye, or the batch is dodgey! No one can really give you the answers you're looking for unfortunately ☹️ such a horrible thing to be thinking about all day. But please try another brand of tests. Xx

Why have you taken 4 tests in a day? I know it's really hard but you need to look after yourself and stop now.
