@Peach1204 thanks 😊

Honestly, I just expect AF to come. To begin I used to test early but always got a BFN and AF always turned up on time. I’ve had every symptom at some point - spotting that I thought was implantation, sore boobs, nausea the lot. Months with really tender boobs, months where they barely hurt at all. Always ends up being PMS, so I’ve learned 2WW symptoms are a bit pointless to track for me, because everything always leads to AF anyway. Progesterone is a b*tch! Lol

It’s got to the point where I don’t really expect it to happen, and I’m usually okay, it gets hard though when people at work announce pregnancies or friends do. I honestly thought it’d have happened by now, but now I’m not sure it’ll happen without help.

I want this crisis to be at a manageable level before tests and appointments though.

Peach1204 · 12/06/2020 17:19

@Lauralozzle that sounds sensible - I wouldn't want to start any test whilst this is going on. Xxx

Anastacia1 · 12/06/2020 17:57

Hi ladies how is everyone? I took a test this morning even though I’m not due AF until next Tuesday/Wednesday but I see a very faint line ... trying not to get hopes up as this happened last month and AF came the next day two days early 🤞🏼🤞🏼 Hoping it gets darker

Best of luck @Anastacia1! Kinda wish I'd tested before 13dpo now as my period arrived two days early too and it's heavier than usual. Now wondering whether it was a chemical or not?!

Mummylala123 · 12/06/2020 19:01

Hi everyone, just looking for a little advice, I'm new. Myself and husband have recently decided to try to conceive. I don't know exactly when my period is due, I've never needed to know the exact date or how long my cycle lasts. My last period started on or around 25th May. I got my coil out on Tuesday past, 9th June. I used the ovulation strips twice per day from Tuesday and could gradually see them getting darker. Last night I got the one in the pic, I'd say its as dark as the c line, what do you think? When I seen this I got excited and used a clear blue test, no smiley face although there was 2 lines on the test strip. I tested this morning again on the strips and it had lightened up again. Any advice ladies. I didn't except to conceive this month but I thought I could maybe track my ovulation. Sorry if I sound like I haven't got a clue, I don't 🙈 I have 2 children, my youngest is 10 so I feel like I'm starting over again, my husband also has 2 so this will be out first together, fingers crossed. We have been having sex each day since I got the coil out just incase lol.

@notyetamumbuttrying thanks...yeah that was the same as me last month it was so heavy ..I think it was maybe a chemical hence why I don't want to get excited just now ...we weren't really trying last month I wasn't tracking anything

2020mission · 12/06/2020 19:12

I just had a video call with my mum and she told me someone we know is pregnant... she has no idea we are trying and it's just upset me 😔 of course happy for the couple but it's so tough keeping trying secret isn't it?

peonyrose87 · 12/06/2020 19:15

@Mummylala123 welcome!! The line will get a lot darker than the one in your pic when you're at your peak ☺️ it really does go the same colour as the control or darker. But if you're starting to get prominent lines then it shouldn't be too long, just keep testing!! Fingers crossed for you!

Mummylala123 · 12/06/2020 19:19

@peonyrose87 thank you! Just not too sure what we were looking for!

Peach1204 · 12/06/2020 19:41

@2020mission I completely understand that. I find myself getting annoyed with people who are easily conceiving that I know or who have easily conceived (like DH cousin who got pregnant after 2 weeks of being with her partner and who then split a year later) xxx

Peach1204 · 12/06/2020 19:42

@2020mission I'm judgemental and grumpy right now! 😂 xxx

Sakura54 · 13/06/2020 16:59

@Peach1204 it took me less than 5 months to get pregnant both times and this is by using an app to tell me my FW so I don't really know my ovulation day. The 2nd one didn't work out though. It's still very early days for you so I don't think you need to worry until nothing happens for over 6 months? Even then it's considered normal to still be TTC for up to a year! I reckon it'll happen soon for you. I usually just expect AF to come lol.

Peach1204 · 13/06/2020 17:07

@Sakura54 thank you. I think I need to ignore any symptoms until a missed AF. I'm grumpy today so reckon she must be coming in the next couple of days. I've also bought ovulation tests as well so I'll link those with using the app too. I do like the app. I hope it happens soon. Sorry to hear about your second one. Fingers crossed for some good news soon. Xxx

Lauralozzle · 14/06/2020 10:06

So, spotting has started for me, AF will start either later today or tomorrow. I’m happy to be fair, I just wanted this cycle to be over as soon as possible!

I’m hoping next cycle we will at least get a better chance.

Peach1204 · 14/06/2020 10:19

Just been to Tesco - all their vitamins are 3 for 2 so stocked up now for a few months. According to my calcs AF should be here Tuesday, Thursday I have OPKs arriving so I am definitely prepared for cycle 3 as I'm pretty convinced AF will be arriving. Can't say we aren't giving it our all eh?! Xxx

Rma13 · 14/06/2020 19:42

Hey everyone. I am so low today, I'm still getting pregnancy symptoms, done another test, even though clearly I'm not pregnant as the bloods were negative and the Dr is talking about the possibility of early menopause..... I dont even know where to go with that. I'm writing to all of you as I feel like I can be really open and honest with you all and you all want the same as me a baby! I just cant believe the chance maybe being taken away from me. I no I should be grateful I have my DS (which believe me I am) but theres a part of me that's broken.....

notyetamumbuttrying · 14/06/2020 20:55

How old are you @Rma13? Did the drs say they think it might be early menopause then? So sorry to hear how you're feeling. Totally understandable tho! You can talk to us Thanks

Rma13 · 14/06/2020 22:02

@notyetamumbuttrying I'm only 30! But yeah apparently that's what she thinks it might be! Im praying shes wrong, get the blood test results back tomorrow I hope!

notyetamumbuttrying · 14/06/2020 22:05

Oh you're young then @Rma13! I think they're wrong personally. What else are they testing for? Best of luck for tomorrow!

Lauralozzle · 15/06/2020 08:01

@Rma13 I’m so sorry, hopefully it’s not early menopause and something much less than that which can be fixed. You’re still young - hopefully you’ll find out more today.

AF started yesterday after the spotting - full blown AF now, which sucks because I feel crappy and heavy and it’s Monday, so I have work!

I’m trying to remain positive, and trying to carry on with my weight loss because if, when, I go to the doctors I know they’ll say something about my weight so I’m trying to get it down to a healthy BMI.

Rma13 · 15/06/2020 11:51

Just an update, all bloods have come back normal.... so we are still none the wiser about what is wrong with me!

notyetamumbuttrying · 15/06/2020 12:03

Thank god they're normal although still leaves you in limbo @Rma13! I wonder if it's due to stress? Ttc is stressful anyway but if you have other stressful things going on in your life, that can impact your period.

Lauralozzle · 16/06/2020 08:18

@Rma13 at least your bloods are normal. Still strange what is happening though. TTC is super stressful, maybe it’s a symptom of stress.

helia · 16/06/2020 08:25

Hello everyone. I'm trying to find a spot on the TTC board and this thread jumped out at me as I'm in my 30s too. How are you? We are TTC#2 in July. We were extremely fortunate to conceive DC#1 after two months but that was about 4.5 years ago and we were in our 20s then. I don't think now is the ideal time to start but we really don't know how long it will take this time and we would be kicking ourselves if we waited and waited then nothing happened.

CrazyCat15 · 16/06/2020 08:30

Hiya 38 here. I'm testing later today when they are delivered x
