@Mrs Lully congratulations!!

Sakura54 · 11/06/2020 13:48

@MrsLully congrats! Yes cramping is normal. I've been pregnant twice and super bad cramps were my first pregnancy symptoms.

@Rma13 no way! I really thought it was going to be good news. I'm still hopeful for you. Do let us know what they say.

SarahTTC2020 · 11/06/2020 14:02

@mrslully yay congratulations!!

2020mission · 11/06/2020 15:27

@MrsLully congratulations 🎉

MrsLully · 11/06/2020 16:13

Thank you guys!!
@Sakura54 the cramping comes and goes and it hasn't been bad today, yesterday it was quite bad to be fair. Happy that it has chilled 😂

Lauralozzle · 11/06/2020 19:18

@MrsLully congratulations!!!! 🥳

Peach1204 · 12/06/2020 06:36

I had an email from amazon yesterday asking me to review the early pregnancy test strips I'd ordered - I thought I'd order ovulation strips! 🤦🏼‍♀️ I hadn't opened the parcel as I was in no rush. Also hubby asked when AF was due and I said Sunday/Monday then thought oh shit, he would expect a test Tuesday meaning I can't surprise him! I'd already bought 5 tests so considering I had another 3 I thought I'd test this morning as they are early response strips - 2 BFNs. Only second month of TTC but it's shit. How do you guys pull yourself out of this? I've gone from being casual to obsessive! I now don't want to do my exercise but know I should because it will help. Just disappointed more then I thought I would be. Sorry if you're following a couple of threads I'm on as I'll be repeating this there! Xxx

Lauralozzle · 12/06/2020 08:55

@Peach1204 I get it, I really do. There’s been months where I feel like giving up because it’s just not happening, I feel like there probably is something wrong with me, but coronavirus virus happened and I didn’t think starting investigations would be a good idea at the moment.

Although, I’ll give it a fair try next month - this one has been a bit of a right off, and then I think I will have to start talking to the doctor to see if I can get tests done.

You just have to hope that it will happen.

Peach1204 · 12/06/2020 09:21

@Lauralozzle thank you lovely. How long have you been trying? I think all I can do is hope it happens and do what I can to give us the best chance. Xxx

notyetamumbuttrying · 12/06/2020 10:02

Hey @Peach1204 it'd be good if you googled the stats on how long it takes the average couple to conceive. That will then put it into perspective for you. The numbers are quite low in the first 6 months and then get better in 12 months so you may have a while to go yet but you'll get there. We're month 9 now (cycle 10) so just give yourself time and be kind to yourself.

Peach1204 · 12/06/2020 10:33

@notyetamumbuttrying thank you for replying, this info has definitely eased my mind. I know I need to relax with it and ignore any possible symptoms to not get my hopes up! Maybe the longer our journey the more I will calm down. Hope you have a BFP soon. Xxx

2020mission · 12/06/2020 12:18

I have felt like giving up too and did have a break for 2 months (April-May) although the Coronavirus was also part of that decision. I think it really helped me mentally reset having had 2 months of not tracking anything, eating more of what I like and having a a few extra glasses of wine at the weekends. I couldn't wait to get back to trying though (which started this month)!

Can someone please talk me out of using a FRER today at 7 DPO? I have it in my head that I could have a couple of glasses of wine tonight after a long week of working if it's negative 😂 of course I do want to see a positive though. In that case I'd have a mocktail tonight instead.

2020mission · 12/06/2020 12:19

I could resort to an Internet cheapie test instead but I think it would show negative this early even if I was pregnant so seems like a waste of time 🤔

SarahTTC2020 · 12/06/2020 12:32

@2020mission I think it's a waste of a test, implantation is quite rare at 6dpo and then there's be barely any HCG so have the glass of wine anyway as the teeny group of cells won't be taking anything from it at this stage and save your test for a few days!

notyetamumbuttrying · 12/06/2020 12:52

Yeah you're right @Peach1204! The longer the journey the more calmer you get and the more frustrated tbh but you just get used to see af every month.
@2020mission defo don't test now and have a glass of wine guilt free 🍷 as @SarahTTC2020 said, nothing can get to the cluster of cells yet anyway.

2020mission · 12/06/2020 13:01

Thanks ladies, you are both right. I think I've just got a bit of drinking guilt building but need to remind myself it's just cells if it's happened at this point and no real harm. I'd only have a couple of small glasses anyway 😅

Peach1204 · 12/06/2020 13:23

@notyetamumbuttrying I'm just going to wait for AF each month now. Hoping in July I'll have some work to do to occupy my mind! I just made a cake so that took my mind off it for an hour! Xxx

I just ordered ovulation strips and the cups to wee in - at least if I do get to have a baby I'll be used to wee all over my hands! 😂 feel like it's going to be messy!

Xxx

notyetamumbuttrying · 12/06/2020 13:38

@notyetamumbuttrying this looks like a good delivery! Let me know if the book is any good! Xxx

notyetamumbuttrying · 12/06/2020 13:51

Will do @Peach1204 Smile

Lauralozzle · 12/06/2020 16:25

@Peach1204 I’ve been trying a year this month, but I’m on like, cycle 14 as my cycles are usually between 26-28 days.

I admit, some cycles have been better timing wise than others though.

Peach1204 · 12/06/2020 16:29

@Lauralozzle honestly take my hat off to you. I don't know if I'd be more disappointed the longer it goes on or take the news a bit better. Xxx
