@laurah92 This was technically my first but to be honest I've been monitoring my cycles on the app and doing pregnancy tests for the last 4 months or so, I just thought I would fall as soon as I came off the pill (I'm the same as you taken religiously for years) but hasn't happened yet!
think the apps helped me to figure out my cycles I came off the pill back in November
I'm hoping the ovulation sticks tell me my app is wrong for ovulation dates and the sticks can give me a clear ovulation day.
How are you feeling with the whole CV drama going on and TTC? X

laurah92 · 30/03/2020 16:56

@Curious012 I know, they made it sound so easy to fall pregnant when we was at school and the dr always used to say, don't miss a pill or you could fall pregnant, well it's definitely not easy lol. Are you taking any vitamins? Well last month I had a 24 cycle and this month I had a 32 cycle so very all over the place atm so definitely need ovulation kits etc to pin point ovulation.
I'm still working as I'm a carer so it hasn't effected me money wise so far, just have to be very careful while at work, can't see family or friends is very hard And getting bored at home when not working as can't really go out do me and my partner are using the time to work on our house, what about you? X

Curious012 · 30/03/2020 18:18

@laurah92 i know! Haha I just thought it would happen but obviously it's not as easy as they make out. Hopefully the clearblue will give you a better indication when you are ovulating 🤞🏻Just got normal multi vitamins but you've reminded me to get some online thank you Smile what are you taking?
That's good we're OK as both working from home you must be so stressed as a carer, its a crazy situation. It's so hard not seeing family and friends and all normality has gone out of the window! We're kind of the same just trying to keep busy but there is only so many times i can rearrange my wardrobe or find something to tidy x

OP posts:
laurah92 · 30/03/2020 18:35

@Curious012 yea I know it really isn't. Haha that's ok no problem SmileI'm taking folic acid. I know, I really hope things start to go back to normal soon, I feel like I'm grounded as a adult lol and going shopping is a whole different level of stressful atm. Yea it's not nice being a carer atm, always worrying, always worrying if I'm going to catch it or if I'm going to give it to them. Always washing my hands lol. I can see it going on a lot longer than 3 weeks tho 😞 tell me about it our houses are going to be spotless by the time this is over haha. We brought our house about 6/7 months ago now so we are just using this time to do some work on the house as it's so difficult when we are both at work so that should pass some of the time. Is this your first time ttc? X

Curious012 · 08/04/2020 08:12

@laurah92 so sorry I didn't respond before I totally forgot about this thread! Hope you're OK this month have you been using the clearblue ovulation kit? X

Hi everyone back into the cycle CD10 here just did an ovulation test showing as strong line so looks like tomorrow is ovulation day (still getting the hang of these sticks) hope everyone is alright those who are still waiting for BFP Smile
Testing day will be 24th for me this month

OP posts:
laurah92 · 08/04/2020 11:14

@Curious012 no worries, how are you? Yea I'm ok thank you, I'm on cd 10 too, did ovulation test yesterday and I'm going into my peak now, should hopefully ovulate today or tomorrow. I've started tracking my basal temperature as well, do you track your temperature? X

Curious012 · 08/04/2020 17:19

@laurah92 oh that's good then if it's showing your peak ovulation time fingers crossed for April being your month!
I'm okay going a bit stir crazy with everything going on. I haven't been taking my temperature but I should probably start doing that too. There is so much to think about with all this TTC business. Does your temperature match up with what the ovulation tracking tells you? X

OP posts:
laurah92 · 08/04/2020 19:24

@Curious012 atm I'm not sure as I have only just started doing it this cycle, I've had a bit of a high temperature the last few days as I haven't been very well so that's knocked it off a bit. I'm hoping I will start to see a pattern with it. Hopefully this will be our month 🤞🤞 x

Curious012 · 11/04/2020 08:34

Morning @laurah92 How are you finding the temperature logging?
I can't seem to get to grips with these ovulation sticks I've had a fairly strong line for the last 4 days but cant work out when I'm ovulating - should be today according to my tracker apps. Might have to go over to the clearblue next month to get a better indication x

OP posts:
laurah92 · 11/04/2020 14:17

@Curious012 hey 😊 how are you today? I had a few days a couple of days ago with a high temperature cause I was getting a cold so it has thrown the chart off a bit cause there is one high reading and a missed one, I got my peak this morning so hopefully will ovulate tomorrow or Monday. Been dtd every other day since Monday and will continue till next week to make sure so hopefully I will start to see my temperature rise soon so I know I definitely ovulated. Yea I know what you mean, I can't get on with the strips that's why I use the Clearblue kit as it has clear results so I would definitely say yes to getting them instead. Maybe use the cheap ones to begin with and then once you think you may be close then start using bathe Clearblue kit to confirm it as it can get very expensive x

Curious012 · 12/04/2020 10:39

@laurah92 hiya doing OK thanks - Happy Easter Smile hope you're alright!
Did an OPK this morning and it showed as a faint line so I'm assuming I had my peak/ovulated yesterday but honestly I'm not entirely sure haha. I've got an app call femometer and you take a pic of the strip and it tells you. I went up to 'high' but never peak, now its right back down to low. We shall see if this is the month, we're doing every other day too.
And so the TWW beins as of today. Fingers crossed for you xx

OP posts:
laurah92 · 13/04/2020 01:45

@Curious012 happy Easter 🐣
I would keep testing every day for another week just to make sure, that's what I do cause then if it stays low the whole time, I see that as a good sign, if it starts going back up again then it means ovulation didn't happen the first time and it's trying to do it again, that happened to me last month, I got a second peak about 4 days after the first one. I was meant to ovulate today but apart from a few twinges, I'm not so sure, I'm going to see if my temperature starts rising now and if i get any more peaks, hopefully I ovulated and just didn't feel much, do you always get ovulation pain? X

Curious012 · 13/04/2020 20:42

@laurah92 i don't get any ovulation pain (at least that a recognise anyway!) just done another OPK and it's given my first 'peak' reading so far, so I'm assuming I'm ovulating later than I think I am..
Do you feel when you've ovulated? I'm going to keep testing for the next few days. Do you think you have already ovulated? X

Can I join! I’m the ttw just now first tine ttc. Currently 5dpo bit of dull pain in lower tummy and wet (sorry tmi) been super gassy as well. I never get this after ovulation so hopeful! Anyone got any symptoms?

Littlebee1990 · 13/04/2020 21:14

Hey!
Jumping on.. came off the pill in December and been using condoms since, decided this month to stop.. according to my FLO app my ovulation date is tomorrow, we usually DTD 2/3 times a week and have been doing it daily since my ovulation window according to the app.. not expecting a positive result this month but AF due 29th so wanted to connect with people who may be in similar situation! X

laurah92 · 13/04/2020 22:14

@Curious012 not really, sometimes I get twinges and a dull pains when I'm close to ovulating but don't really feel much on the day that I'm meant to ovulate. I think I ovulated on Sunday or today, I'm going to keep testing the rest of this week to make sure and going to see if my temperature starts to rise and stays up to confirm ovulation, been dtd every over day so will just continue to do that for another week just to make sure. Yea I would say you are going to ovulate either tomorrow or Wednesday 🤞 for you x

Curious012 · 13/04/2020 23:58

The more the merrier!!
Hi @Littlebee1990 No symptoms here I'm just trying to work out when the hell I'm ovulating at the moment! AF due on 25th so on TWW as well. What do you use to confirm ovulation?
@lk123 hey!
I'm using flo as well I do think it predicts ovulation quite early compared to some of the others but always gets the day of AF right for me - I quite like clue if you want to compare to another app it gives much more options for tracking. Fingers crossed for both of you!

@laurah92 hopefully your BBT will confirm you have already ovulated so you can get a gauge on the days. Best thing to just keep DTD every other day Smile Going to continue testing for the next few days as well to see what the OPKs say - I suspect you're right that ovulation will be tomorrow or wed. If so it's a bit of a relief as I thought I was ovulating CD 12 but it looks more like CD 15/16 which makes such a difference.
Let's hope April is a good month, let the impatient waiting for AF begin! X

laurah92 · 14/04/2020 11:54

@Curious012 well my temperature has started to rise over yeasterday and today but when I did another ovulation stick, I got another high which means it's picking up Estrogen again so I'm really not sure what's going on with my body. I'll just have to keep testing and hope it goes back down to low and my temperature stays high. Since coming off pill, my body has been all over the place, even with tracking temperature and ovulation tests, I'm still finding it hard to pinpoint ovulation and confirm it. 🤞 this is your month, sending lots of baby dust your way x

Digsy10 · 14/04/2020 14:26

Can I jump on? Af due 20th although I have very irregular cycles so really struggle to pin point ovulation! X

Curious012 · 14/04/2020 15:11

@laurah92ah that's so annoying and confusing when things don't measure up. I've done another OPK today which has shown a complete surge and is double the reading of yesterday's so now my app is telling me ovulation is tomorrow (CD 17) my cycles are only 26/27 days normally so its a lot later than I expected. God knows at this stage just keep DTD every other day same as you 😂. Yes loads of baby dust for you too! What day is AF due? X
@digsy10 hi! Come and join us confused folk when it comes to ovulation! X

OP posts:
laurah92 · 14/04/2020 15:51

@Curious012 I know it's starting to confuse me now, I'm starting to wonder if I even did ovulate and my body is going to gear up to try again. All we can do is just keep dtd and hopefully we will get it right at some point lol 😂 I came off the pill at the beginning of January so I would have thought that my body would be back to normal by now but clearly not. If you got a really strong line today then i would dtd tonight and keep doing it for a few days till the line starts fading 🤞🤞 I'm due af on 27th but I'm not sure kow, what about you? C

Curious012 · 14/04/2020 16:17

@laurah92
Exactly 😂 hopefully you have already ovulated you did get the peak from clearblue - maybe when you were feeling poorly it threw out the temp a little bit? I'm well and truly confused as well after this month! Wish I had started on the OPKs before to see when my ovulation normally is. I'm now googling and apparently you should be ovulating at least 12 days before the next time AF shows up. I'm due 25th but if I don't ovulate until tomorrow maybe it will be more like the 27th? X

OP posts:
Curious012 · 15/04/2020 13:51

Another surge today, the OPK line is even stronger than before so it’s pushed my ovulation date until tomorrow again - so confused! I should be due AF in 10 days
Anyone had any experience with late ovulation?

OP posts:
laurah92 · 15/04/2020 16:52

@Curious012 I know you can ovulate late, don't think I ever really ovulate on cd 14, it's normally after, if you ovulate later then it will push af later too depending on how late you ovulate, that's why you can have longer cycles sometimes. I'm going to test again tonight when I get home from work and then again tomorrow and see, my temperature dropped again this morning so I don't think I have ovulated now. This is all so confusing. It's starting to stress me out. Why can't we just ovulate on time and that's it, why is this baby making so hard lol 😂 x

Curious012 · 15/04/2020 17:17

@laurah92 I think just where it’s my first month seeing what the OPKs say it’s stressing me out as I thought I was so regular so it would be so easy -clearly I was wrong!
That’s so frustrating about the temp going back down! Should it continue to rise after ovulation? Have you got any cheapie OPKs to see what they say
😂 I know right! Why is it not just simple?! x
