Never started a bus before.

Anyone want to hop aboard?

I’m ttc#2 cycle#4

@Sdoo4 I hadn't heard that it could affect implantation but need to have a wee research I think. If looking at SMEP (I'm not doing it), they say when you get a positive OPK you should do it 3 days in a row, skip a day then try once more. So that would include day after ovulation and 3 days after ovulation.

At the moment I've done:

O -5 = BD
O -4 = none
O -3 = none
O -2 = BD
O -1 = BD (positive OPK)
Ovulation = BD (ovulation pain)
O +1 = today (probably won't BD unless I really force myself but totally can't be bothered!)

Adrianoska · 29/03/2020 14:00

@Sdoo4 apparently according to a fee studies the sex after ovulation can affect the implantation. I only read about it last month... We had so much sex after ovulation right until period (my husband has a very high sex drive) and then I convinced myself it was a bad idea. Today I am 1dpo... Will see how long we can last 😁🤔

Adrianoska · 29/03/2020 14:02

@Sdoo4 yeah, probably you ovulated by now 😊. When are you due? My cycles are only 24 days long, af due on the 10th of April... Pray it will not come

❤️

Sdoo4 · 29/03/2020 14:40

@Adrianoska I’m the 11th April so fingers crossed for us!!

Adrianoska · 29/03/2020 15:06

😁😁😁😁🤞➕

Adrianoska · 29/03/2020 15:07

@Sdoo4, what's your story? Sorry I missed it. How long, how old, how many etc...? 😘

Littlebump2018 · 29/03/2020 15:09

So my peak ovulation day is today. Should I not DTD after today? Will it affect implantation?

Adrianoska · 29/03/2020 15:23

Do you mean opk peak? That would mean you ovulate tomorrow. So bd tonight and tomorrow if you can. Either way, the study I read states that an intercourse before implantation can reduce chances of success. But that's from like 3dpo to 12dpo. So later, not during the ovulation.

Intercourse during the peri-implantation window may be detrimental to natural fertility. Methods that allow couples to time intercourse to the fertile window may decrease time to pregnancy by not only increasing the probability of fertilization but also decreasing the probability of failed implantation.

That's the conclusion from this study : www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4074557/

@Adrianoska I’m 31 and this is our 3rd month trying for our first. My OH is only 26 so he wasn’t keen on trying until he was ready but now I worry I’m getting older. I was really upset when AF arrived this month but feel much better and more relaxed about it this time. This is the first month I’ve used OPKs so I know we’ve been trying at the right time this time, feel much better now I now when I’ve ovulated. How about you? What’s your story?

Adrianoska · 29/03/2020 16:40

😘
I am 36 and my husband is only 30. He is desperate for a baby. I have two children from a previous marriage (12 and 6yo). I have been trying now for 4 months.. Each time I get my AF I am totally devastated... I really want to get pregnant. I am worried that it is too late etc...
I have been using opk for 2 months now, it is good to know... Although we have plenty of sex anyway, so I am so worried something is wrong... We did get pregnant by accident about 7 months ago, when we were using contraception! And unfortunately we lost it to early MC. And now we are trying and can't get pregnant! Grrr....
So annoying. Xxx

SS123456 · 29/03/2020 18:31

Does anyone know of any supplements that I can take to prevent a short luteal phase problem?

Sausage1990 · 29/03/2020 19:37

Congratulations @littletandme I'm really thrilled for you 😁😁😁😁

Adrianoska · 29/03/2020 20:11

@SS123456 I am not sure if that would help but whenever I start taking the pregnacare conception my cycles extended by at least 6 or 8 days. And apparently it is quite common...
Good luck 🌸

AnxiousBear · 29/03/2020 20:39

I can’t tell if I have my period or an implantation bleed. If my period this was a crazy short cycle at 26 days. (Usually 30). I did a test this morning and there was a very faint line - neither me or dh could tell if it was an evap or a super faint line. It was pink at the edges, grey in the middle. And now the bleeding has started... this uncertainty sucks!

How is everyone else doing?

Sdoo4 · 29/03/2020 20:51

@Adrianoska ahh! Sorry to hear about the MC. 4 months isn’t that long really but every month just feels like forever. I get so devastated when AF arrives too, especially with seeing other couples who have barely been together 4months get pregnant. I’ve known so many people who were pregnant this past year and have now got their babies, I feel terrible but really struggle to be happy for them!

My mum was 40 when she had my sister. I was one of five and she always said she was done but then we got a little surprise when I was 12 she found out she was pregnant again! At 36 I think you’ll be ok but maybe just take more time, let’s hope this is our lucky month! Christmas babies!!

SS123456 · 29/03/2020 21:13

Thanks @Adrianoska. I have actually been taking those for about 7/8 months already though sadly 😔

QueenWiggle · 29/03/2020 22:44

Ohai! Joining the April bus. TTC baby no. 3, just starting TWW. I know from previous experience I'll spend it symptom watching and trying not to POAS Grin

Adrianoska · 30/03/2020 01:51

@QueenWiggle hello! Hope you are well ❤️
What's your story? Have you got any children already? Wishing you good luck 🤞➕

littletandme · 30/03/2020 07:43

DH might start to believe it now haha 😂 EDD is 9/10th December Smile

selina37 · 30/03/2020 07:50

@littletandme brilliant! Congratulations! 🎉

Juno231 · 30/03/2020 07:54

@SS123456 are you taking Vitex (chasteberry?) - that's supposed to lengthen your luteal phase.

Florence13 · 30/03/2020 08:19

Welcome to all the new ladies joining the bus 😊

Aww yay!! @littletandme you must be super excited!! I'm trying to not POAS until Thursday when AF is due

SS123456 · 30/03/2020 09:00

@Juno231 thanks I'll take a look. I read only that increasing vitamin c can help too so I'll give them a go
