Morning ladies! Cd2 for me today and this feels like the only but of my cycle where I can relax - I.e not wondering when I will ovulate or wondering if I am pregnant 🙄 gonna try keep myself reaaaaaaly busy this month

I want to book a city break end of the month abroad - what would people do with coronovirus - still go or hold off?

@whatsthecraic91 thanks lovely - glad she arrived now tbh! Arr you in fertile week?

@MIW01 that's totally understandable. Good luck with you operation, controlling your diabetes and then hopefully conceiving 💗

@Kiza any more symptoms or are you remaining calm?

@Lozzlepop totally, I am glad she arrived and now I can move on!

@Anny27 Depending on where you go, you might be safer from coronavirus abroad than here! I've not heard any reports of it in northern Europe so that might be a good place to look? Though of course it's hard to predict where it might be in a month :(

It's good to have something to look forward to though to distract from ttc, I'd go for it if I were you x

Narwhal88 · 04/03/2020 12:33

Hi all
I joined this thread a while ago but didn't really comment, changed my name, it was makeafamily19. Been lurking though so sort of feel up to date with everyone! Feel like the support is really great on this thread so thought I'd join in again if ok?

TTC since June 2019, on cycle 10, spotting started today 12DPO so out again this month.
I have already been to the doctors to get the ball rolling with tests (told a little fib that we had been trying 12 months). My day 21 results came back good and show I'm ovulating. Was convinced I was still the problem due to short periods but my DH had his SA results today and he has low count and motility, told him to retest in 3 months.
Anyone got any tips on how to help improve this? I know caffeine, alcohol, increase veg etc. He is on wellman conception, doesn't cycle. GP suggested going vegetarian! That hasn't gone down well with DH 😂

Hope everyone is having a good Wednesday!
In regards to Coronavirus @Anny27 I would just book somewhere anyway, it's probably going to be hard to avoid by that point.

FarmerWantsABaby · 04/03/2020 18:31

@Anny27 didn't I book Portugal last weekend for the end of June 🙈 now I'm panicking big time!!

Lottiepink · 04/03/2020 21:10

@KrissyMB wow what an achievement, yes they so say that intense exercise can affect things, but if you have always been a runner it may not affect you as much?

@Anny27 yes in fertile week due to ovulate tomorrow/Friday, I can't get my head around ovulating earlier now as it feels like it's so quick after af 🤣

@whatsthecraic91 haha I think I did too 😂😂
Do you have to get an app for the swab? I had to do mine at home and take it in? So strange how they all have different rules isn't it?!

@Lozzlepop st least everything is looking ok though 😊

@MIW01 so sorry, I totally understand, take care and come back when you feel up to it x

rathernotshare · 04/03/2020 21:18

Hello ladies! Just wondering.... after stopping the pill how long did it take AF to arrive? I stopped at my break anyway, so had a 'fake period' as I call it Hmm and still nothing 5/6 weeks later Confused been on it 11 years so not sure how long is normal!

FarmerWantsABaby · 04/03/2020 21:31

@rathernotshare I was on the pill for 11/12 years, had my "fake period" and didn't have a period for 8 weeks, then 7, then 6 etc etc and I gradually regulated to 4 after about 7/8 months

rathernotshare · 04/03/2020 21:37

@FarmerWantsABaby thanks! Good to have experiences of real people rather than doctor google 😂

KrissyMB · 04/03/2020 22:25

@lottiepink that seems to be what all the research suggests when you're pregnant but not much out there about whilst you're trying to get pregnant. Hopefully be okay. I run 40+ miles a week x

FarmerWantsABaby · 05/03/2020 08:31

@KrissyMB
@Lottiepink
I go to CrossFit and haven't been in the past 3 weeks because I was told to stay clear for a while given I may have miscarried a twin. I don't really have any intentions to go back but I miss it so much 😩 very tempted to take in a PT who specialises in pregnancy.

CoalCraft · 05/03/2020 10:10

So today my withdrawal bleed started after taking my last combined pill on Monday. It's a small thing but feels like a significant step somehow - will hopefully be my last pill-induced bleed for a long time ☺️

Kiza · 05/03/2020 13:54

@KrissyMB I understand what you mean re: intense exercises as I life heavy in the gym and lots of people have said take it easy but then I follow fitness people on Insta who have fallen pregnant easily. I eased off heavy and intense training sessions for 6 months to see if it made a difference and still didn't get pregnant so I now just do what I've always do and continue to follow my healthy lifestyle so I'd say as long as your BF% is in a good range and you're refuelling yourself well then carry on 💪🏼

@Lottiepink are you following SMEP this cycle or just taking it as natural?

@Anny27 I went 4 days with a really sore right boob and then woke up this morning and back to normal 🤷🏼‍♀️ 8dpo and counting. I'm wondering if my AF would be late due to O so late this cycle?

@Lozzlepop has DF rang up for his results today?

@Narwhal88 don't worry about fibbing, we did the same and I'm so glad we did as 18 months down the line and only just completed all the investigations as it takes some time on the nhs. My DP takes coQ10, Zinc, vit e and Ashwaghanda for morphology so not sure if those supps are good for motility too? He also cut out caffeine and started wearing loose boxers and stopped putting his laptop on his lap!

KrissyMB · 05/03/2020 17:13

@FarmerWantsABaby @Kiza good to hear what you both think. I'm at a good level of fitness, I've got a month until Manchester so I should know by then If this cycle is successful, if it is I'll just drop the intensity down slightly. I've never done cross fit but have heard it's very addictive in a good way! X

Narwhal88 · 05/03/2020 17:34

Thanks @Kiza I had another look at his results and his morphology is only 2% as well 😞 more concerned about the count as it was only 2.9m when it should be higher than 15m. So all 3 are below what they should be. I know caffeine is bad for all of them, he drinks a lot of tea but doesn't even like coffee. Honestly right now I feel so down as I don't feel like we will be able to get it up to a decent level no matter how hard we try and IVF will be the only option.

Kiza · 05/03/2020 17:43

@Narwhal88 I understand your worry as we were the same and after his lifestyle changes we will find out the results of his 2nd SA at the end of the month to see if it made a difference. Forgot to say he also takes lycopene supplements. He took caffeine as a pre workout and he's made a lot of lifestyle changes to see if it's made a difference.
However 4 months of these changes has not resulted in a BFP for us so we know there's a high chance of ivf for us.
I'd recommend your partner making a concerted effort to stick with the lifestyle changes and the supps we mentioned for perhaps 3 months?

Narwhal88 · 05/03/2020 18:02

@Kiza thanks, we are definitely going to make changes, we know we don't eat another veg so my fridge is now fully stocked! He has been on wellman conception, zinc and fish oil for the last month anyway but will look at adding others. I did mention eating a bowl of tomato soup every day for the lycopene but he wasn't keen on that 🤣
I really hope your DP sees a good improvement for all his efforts. It is all such a long waiting game isn't it!

FarmerWantsABaby · 05/03/2020 22:46

@KrissyMB I used to eyeroll at people who went to CrossFit. Then I tried it out when I moved to a new town to make some friends and was hooked. It honestly is the most amazing class I have ever seen too. I was addicted! Killing me not to go 😫

KrissyMB · 06/03/2020 09:56

@FarmerWantsABaby yeah it looks fun to me, and anything that encourages you to get fit and healthy and has a good team spirit is good in my eyes! Why dont you go but just take the intensity down? I spoke to the doctor about running and she said because I'm already a runner there is no risks during pregnancy, but I forgot to ask about leading up to pregnancy but I'm guessing the same rules apply x

Anny27 · 06/03/2020 10:27

Specifically from the ladies who have had miscarriages - we have been trying since may 2019, took 4 cycles to conceive then got pregnant then miscarried and now on 3red cycle ttc again. So technically has been 10 months of ttc. If we get to may does this count as a year ttc or will they say oh you weren't trying got the 4 months of pregnancy and recovery?

@kiza I dont get sore boobs in tww when not pregnant! I get fuller boobs but not sore.

@FarmerWantsABaby I have never tried crossfit, dont even know what it is haha! But yep best to avoid any high intensity exercise in early pg

@narwhal88 I hope that the supplements work for your DH!

@CoalCraft first withdrawal bleed is a great first step :D

@Lottiepink haha! Yep after AF ends its back to DTD haha. I hope I ovulate earlier this month!

OP posts:
Kiza · 06/03/2020 10:52

@Anny27 it's classed from may 2019 so yes a year of TTC.
I Sometimes get a sore left boob in TWW however this last week my right boob is so sore it wakes me up at night. Am at the gym and tried running on the treadmill and I'm only small chested but was so painful had to stop after 15 mins. Trying not to symptom spot with it, the left boob is a little tender but no more than usual during LP. 🤷🏼‍♀️

@KrissyMB @FarmerWantsABaby don't think my gym lifting sessions are in the same league as CrossFit! 😆 those guys are in a league of their own!

Lozzlepop · 06/03/2020 11:21

Morning ladies!

@whatsthecraic91 I think its maybe because all of mine were scheduled in at the start by the fertility nurse and it was the only appointment slots they had?! He gave the sample last week so I would have thought as its just going back to the nurse at the hospital.

@Anny27 I know exactly how you feel, its like a weight has lifted. I am not sure I would have been inclined to say if you have actually got pregnant then they wouldn't do anything - this was the case with me theres been no chat of any other investigations to check my hormone levels etc. Have you made a decision on going away yet?

@Narwhal88 hello and welcome to the thread 👋🏻can I as how long it took for the SA results to come through?

@Lottiepink i didn't think that would show anything, the one im most keen to have is the blood clotting test so if April could just hurry up 😹

@rathernotshare I think I was about 3 weeks but the pill I was on never gave me periods, just be patient it will come ☺️

@Kiza hahaha of course he hasn't- he's a bloke! Was hard enough trying to get him to call up to make the bloody drop off appointment lol! Ah ok thats interesting that means we are at month 15 🙈

@ValidUser hows things with you?

Whats everyone upto this weekend? Anyone testing?

FarmerWantsABaby · 06/03/2020 11:23

@Kiza I thought I was way out of my league last year but it was unbelievable how far I came over the past year! It's a mad class but I absolutely love it. It really trimmed me up too. But because I was lifting so heavy and it's a lot of Olympic lifting I think I need to stop, and tone down the work outs at least. 😬 I miss it 😫

CoalCraft · 06/03/2020 11:42

Whee exchanged on our new house today! So it's official, we're moving, and I can start TTC properly without worrying about not knowing where I'm gonna be living while pregnant Grin

So now just need to wait for withdrawal bleed to finish up and natural cycles to resume... am aware it could be a while yet before anything happens.

Do I guess this weekend will be preparing for the move! An feeling a little bad now though, I'm a lazy lump compared to you gym goers!! Grin

Lozzlepop · 06/03/2020 14:51

@CoalCraft congratulations thats fantastic news!! When do you move?

rathernotshare · 06/03/2020 16:35

@CoalCraft congratulations! Exciting times ahead! Go for a celebratory beer while you still can 😂
