Hello,

I had my coil removed 6 days ago. Just wondering if anyone can share any stories of when they have conceived after having theirs removed?

Thanks @watermelonwizard! 😍 Just finishing AF - she was bang on schedule (I always had a regular cycle even on coil), so this is me officially starting on Cycle 1!

Sending lots of positive thoughts and vibes to everyone for some BFPs soon! 😘😘😘

@laura214 I need to go with the flow a bit more, I am becoming a bit obsessive which isn't good! I started with some cheap internet ones that detect your LH surge but now on the clearblue ones (started this morning) as they give flashing smiley faces when you're fertile and a static one when you are at your peak. I feel that now I have started I won't be able to stop!!! Maybe I will chill more when I ovulate as I know everything is 'working' as it should!

@M4v3r1ck amazing, exciting times ahead! Yeah I had light regular AFs with the coil and mine came on time, which happened to be 2 days after removal so not sure if that was a removal bleed or AF but I am going to count it as AF!

Good luck to everyone, I am excited to see how everyone's stories unfold! X

just had my darkest line (still not that dark but better than the stark whites I’ve been getting!) happy that I think my body is getting back to normal so quickly!

Hello all! I found this site searching ttc after mirena. Im 32 dh is 35 and our dd is 5. We made the choice and had my iud removed, well I actually took it out myself 5/3/20- I'm from the us- so the 3rd of May. I've not had a period in over 9 years!! I had an iud 4 years prior to our daughter, had it removed April 28,2014 and got a bfp June 7th, 2014. Had my daughter Feb 2015 and had my last iud a little over 5 years. I was due to get a new one before covid-19. I didnt spot or bleed before or this time. Its been 25 days and I saw the faintest line when I put a flash behind the test strip. idk if that'd be classified as a positive. Its not colored line, but you can tell the line would be there if it were positive. I looked at others taken before and that wasnt there. I took a clear blue(not the digital) this morning and negative still... so I guess the waiting game begins. I'll post a pic of the faintest line if i can figure out how.

Hi @Aferg32 ! omgosh I have read about people taking them out themselves, I feel faint thinking about it!!! Lovely to hear your positive story. Have you done any more tests since?

I am very happy this morning, I used a digital clearblue ovulation testing kit and went straight from a BFN circle to a static smiley this morning! I am delighted my body has gone back to normal after 8 years of the coil and I was on the pill before that. So a good 2 days in store for my OH lol!

How is everyone else getting on?

laura214 · 29/05/2020 12:04

@watermelonwizard so pleased for some positive news! I am awaiting AF next Wednesday and the only symptoms I have are from hay fever which is awful at the moment!
Good luck to you all, looking forward to reading some positive stories!

@watermelonwizard Congratulations!! How exciting! tested this morning and still bfn. I'm going to give myself a week- trying not to stress and retest. You'll have an early February baby. I just thought if I were to get pregnant, there's a chance the baby would share a birthday with big sis.

I had mine out in January after 8 years, been trying since and using OPKs - yesterday was the first smiley face I've had so think my body took a while to flush the hormones out - my last period was about 10 days late as well so I'm hoping all flushed out now! I was always lead to believe that your fertility returned shortly after it is removed so fingers crossed for us both ❤️

Oh good luck @EmmaA91 ! Amazing news about the smile . I was so happy when I got mine too. I think it’s amazing how quickly the body gets back to normal. Must be such a relief for you! Fingers crossed for you. Xxx

Hi all, how is everyone?

I had AF arrive the other day. Disappointing but only cycle 1 TTC so can't complain!! Onto cycle 2. My cycle was 26 days. So chuffed to have it so 'normal' and regular.
