Do evap lines ever get darker over time?

Hi all,

So this morning I took a clearblue ultra early test before work and I'm pretty sure I saw a faint line. I've come back from work and looked at the test and the line is darker blue and prominent. I know you shouldn't read tests after the time window but my question is if this morning what I saw was an evap line then would it have gotten darker in colour over time? Or did i actually see a positive this morning?

Here is a pic of it this evening, forgot to take one this morning as was in a rush for work!

Mine was indeed a positive. I did a digital test and it spelled it out which I'm pretty sure it's all still sinking in :)

Hi I’ve had more clear blue positives, and 2 sainsburys tests positive since I’m suffering badly with sickness and pain in left lower side I went to A&E on Tuesday night they done a strip test which was negative but to be fair I had sat and drank 3 cups of water to force a sample quickly it was very clear, however they done a blood test I waited 2 hours for results and they sent me home doctor said he would call me when they came back I’ve since heard nothing been chasing it up for 4 days now A&E finally said this morning they would get a nurse to phone me to discuss my results and I’m still waiting so I’m no further forward, I did get another faint positive on a pink dye strip test on Wednesday morning however yesterday another negative on the same test

Did A&E nurse ever call you??

@SWAttempting no still heard nothing I’m getting really frustrated now how hard can it be to give me the results

These are the tests from the last few days blue dye clear pink dye looks more like a colour run also the sainsburys test has faded on one side since drying out you can still see the width of the line but faint on one side now

I've got this and still trying to interpret....

I just looked back through the positive tests from the last time and we only had a faint positive the equivalent of today in comparison post ovulation, and didn’t get a strong positive until the equivalent of Tuesday, nor a positive digital until the equivalent of Thursday so I guess I have to be patient

Hey *@BobbyT85* did you take another test. I'm thinking the same. I don't know if this is evap line or positive. Do evap lines get darker? Here's some pics. I really don't know what to think

More than likely. Best try with an FRER or a pink dye. Those ones I posted above turned out to be evap lines...

I do now however have a BFP

@SWAttempting it sure was, I did a digital and it said 2-3 weeks, I was shocked. I was only 4 days late so I think I must of ovulated early for the hcg to be so strong. And a massive congratulations 👏 no confusion with a digital

I'm in the same boat! Nothing on the test after the 3 mins and when I came back, there was a line, it's definitely blue but not sure how to add a photo!

@AliCastle86 try doing another one or a digital. There's no confusion with a digital it spells it out. I thought mine was an evap line but here I am 9 weeks and 5 days 🥰😁

Mine was a very dark thin off centered line and I’m just getting my hopes up thinking it’s an evap line. Gonna test in the morning again. Not sure how to post the picture?

Hey I’ve had two clear blues come back with clear blue lines outside of the time frame. Are these evaps? They’re just very blue!

Hey @jat94 my lines went really dark after the time limit. Very clear pink lines. I heard evap lines are more a grey colour. I would definitely do another one. Maybe try a pink dye or a digital. I was wondering if mine was evap line and did a digital and it said pregnant. I hope you get the answer you're looking for :)

Hi all, congrats to all those who got their bfp, and good luck to all those waiting. I've gone through very similar situation. Did 2 tests on clear blue, No line during the 10 minutes but a very dark one after 10 minutes on the morning urine test, and di one tonight and no line but 26 minutes later a faint line. Its so frustrating. Defo going to get the digital one tomorrow and possibly a frer one as I've heard they're much more accurate? Can't post any photos becuaee I'm a new user 😭😭

Hey these are my tests. Most came up out of time frame. Frer very very faint line came up in time frame and got darker throughout the day. Are these all just evaps? Due AF Saturday x

I got my period unfortunately so must have been negative or chemical I guess? Wishing you luck!
