Hey everyone!

Who else is trying for a baby?

How you been finding it?

I stopped the pill in October, I know it takes time but really wanting a positive soon! Just need to be super patient 🤭🙂🙂🙂

I always pee afterwards... I didn't once and got a UTI! So will never miss it again 😂

Ariel12345 · 12/01/2020 00:01

Hi everyone, can I join? I've been reading posts for a little while, but this is one of my first times posting!
TTC first, cycle 1
Came off microgynon in December and awaiting AF or positive test.... cycle day 34
I know it's very, VERY early, but would appreciate some support as I'm feeling a bit fed up and lost!
Also, always pee afterwards 😂

Hi ladies, jumping on this thread as well Smile

I’m 26, almost 27 and I’m on CD3, hoping to conceive our first. I told myself (and my DH) that I was going to be completely chilled, that I don’t mind if it doesn’t happen immediately etc but I’m totally lying - I’m already plotting baby names and nursery colours. Clearly I’m a loon!

Lots of luck to all on this thread Smile

Newbie0818 · 12/01/2020 14:28

Hey @Ariel12345 welcome. I came off the pill in August and didn’t get my first natural period until the end of November, so I know how you feel! Just took my body ages to start naturally ovulating again. But it’s torture when you don’t know if it’s going to be regular or not. I’ve found the flo app and ovulation strips really helpful to give me an idea about how my body works x

Ariel12345 · 12/01/2020 16:17

Hi everyone!
@tequilasunrises lol pretty similar here! Quietly starting to think about nursery ideas and furniture, names etc... I'm much less chilled than I'd expected!

@Newbie0818 thank you! It's reassuring to know it can take a while for things to get back to normal, a lot of the information seems to say as soon 2-4 weeks but up to a year doesn't it, just hope I'm not the latter! Kind wishing I came off the pill earlier...

I have the clue app to keep track of things, but not tracking in terms of ovulation strips or temperature etc yet. Do you think I could use ovulation strips now, or should I wait until after a proper (natural) period and maybe try after that?

RMusic12 · 12/01/2020 18:55

How early can we test? Lol my period is 'due' a week tomorrow 🤔🤔🤔😊😊

This month is my 14th month ttc and it’s getting really hard now. Praying for a positive this month Smile

Thefaceofboe · 12/01/2020 19:13

@RMusic12 my period is due next Saturday. I’m too scared to test incase it’s negative so will most likely wait for my period

ablisha · 12/01/2020 19:26

@Thefaceofboe I'm hoping to just wait for my period too but I reckon I'll test a couple of days before 🤦🏻‍♀️

Newbie0818 · 12/01/2020 19:31

@Ariel12345 I waited until after so that I had an idea of how long my cycle would be (32 days apparently). I guess you could do it now but you might fine that you’re testing negative for a while whilst everything is getting back into the swing of things. Hope you start seeing some signs soon!

Thefaceofboe · 12/01/2020 19:37

@ablisha I used to be so eager but I’ve kind of lost interest a bit now

Ariel12345 · 12/01/2020 20:10

@Newbie0818 I think I will wait until after my period then, whenever that may be! I'm not sure I could deal with so many negative tests if I started now! Thanks for your advice Smile

RMusic12 · 12/01/2020 20:24

So last couple of days 3DPO, 4DPO, 5DPO....

Itchy nipples
Upset tummy
Stomach cramps

.........

Newbie0818 · 12/01/2020 20:50

No worries @ariel12345 :)

@RMusic12 a first response early stick may work in a couple of days time? I’d wait until the due date though to avoid any uncertainty.

@Thefaceofboe that must be so frustrating. Whoever thought it would be so hard! Really annoys me when others just pop em out all the time too :/ fingers crossed for you x

ablisha · 12/01/2020 21:14

@RMusic12 sounds promising!

RMusic12 · 12/01/2020 22:09

@ablisha do you think? I'm trying not to get my hopes up because i want it so bad! But the stomach cramps are so unusual, keep getting like small sharp twinges

OP posts:
ablisha · 12/01/2020 22:17

@rmusic12 well from what I've read, they're all good signs. I'm 6dpo and feel like I've felt cramps since 3 dpo but I'm trying to tell myself that's probably too early to be anything pregnancy related.
I do know how you feel though, it's so hard when we all want it to happen so much

SkyBlue20 · 13/01/2020 02:06

Hi all, hope you don’t mind me joining in!
Husband and I (both 32) decided we were going to start trying around March so I came off the pill at the end of November to give my periods some time to settle...however a few weeks ago we thought ‘why are we waiting?!’ And decided to go for it now. The upshot is that I have only had one kind of semi-period (a week or so ago, it lasted one day heavily and two days lightly) and have absolutely no idea how long my cycle is normally (I was on the pill for years!) Ovia tells me I’m coming in to my fertile window this week so let’s see! Husband just wants to enjoy trying whereas I’m very much of the opinion that we need to at least be aware of fertile windows etc so we can give it our best shot, but am trying to not become overly obsessive with it for now as I know what I’m like! Am on the Seven Seas tablets and using Ovia. We’re not really telling anyone we’re trying either so nice to have somewhere to chat! All feels very surreal at the moment, very grown up!!
Good luck to everyone 🤞🏼 Xx

RMusic12 · 13/01/2020 13:58

Anyone else feeling impatient? I'm 8dpo dying took test but would be too early!!

I know it's probably a negative as I haven't felt nauseous or dizzy, but sore boobs, spotting, stomach cramps, upset tummy ....

Arghhh it's messing with my head lol

Jessiebells · 13/01/2020 14:34

Hi everyone!
I’m new to this, it’s actually my first post. Me and my husband are TTC baby #1 and wow the 2ww is horrible.... longest time ever!

Wondering if any of you ladies could give me some advice. I have been using the CB advanced ovulation test every morning I started testing on cycle day 11 which was 5 days after my period I got negative every day and then randomly on cycle day 14 I got a peak fertility but no lead up with the high fertility Hmm then cycle day 20 and 21 which is today I got high fertility which I was a bit confused with as I already got my peak fertility. I haven’t really had any CM. Is it possible I didn’t ovulate? Or maybe did ovulate and it’s picking up on hormones? I’m going out of my mind wondering what is happening.

If anyone has had something similar would love your advice! Sending you all lots of luck and baby dust on your TTC journeys

Xx

ablisha · 13/01/2020 14:56

@RMusic12 I feel so impatient! I'm 7DPO now and just want some sort of sign! The only thing I've had is cramps but that's been since Thursday which would have been too early to mean anything

RMusic12 · 13/01/2020 15:32

@ablisha we must have the same cycle lol can't wait to see the day when one of us says I'm pregnant! Lolll

Newbie0818 · 13/01/2020 18:17

@SkyBlue20 exactly the same as me! Only had one natural period so I don’t know if my cycle will be regular or not. It’s so frustrating. I’ve been tracking ovulation for the last 10 days using strips just to get an idea! I’m on CD17 now and still negative, getting a bit fed up now. My boobs are sore as anything though. But my hubby is exactly like yours “just enjoy trying”. It’s impossible when it’s your body! Haha.
