Hi everyone, just making this thread as it seems a few of us will be trying SMEP to TTC! Adding these lovely ladies in from another thread but I hope everyone feels free to join! All welcome :)

Some stats about me:

TTC #1
27 years old, DH is 28 years old
Missed miscarriage in October 2019 at 7+2 weeks
Still in that cycle (no AF yet)
Long and irregular cycles, some anovulatory
Suspected low progesterone/hypothyroidism (I think this based on symptoms, not diagnosed yet!)

Hope we can all provide support for each other in this crazy TTC journey.

@Mummy2wannabe2020 it's up to you, but if that was infact implantation bleeding 5 days ago then you would almost certainly get a positive now. It should only take 2-3 days after implantation for a positive result, especially on a FRER.

@bluemoon2468 guess I'm just nervous about taking one and it being negative

@danielasummer hi, no AF yet- CD 56! Sick of waiting now. I've done loads of research about diet and trying to eat really well. Ill give it a read, thanks for the recommendation! I read good things about tumeric and magnesium. My chart is all over the place so that's no help!

First cycle of SMEP complete. Doing my wait time. The wait is so frustrating. Please suggest when to test and trying to see if anybody on this forum were successful on very first cycle.

@piscesFeb I was successful last month on my first cycle of trying SMEP 😊 good luck!

Thanks and congratulations @bluemoon2468 : Can you please let me know when did you test on SMEP? Wondering If I can test early using Clearblue early.

@piscesFeb I got a strong positive on a FRER at 8DPO, but I think I'm a big anomaly (I must have implanted really early) so don't take that as your answer! I would recommend FRER not CB. Results are much less clear to read and less accurate.

@bluemoon2468 I think i may have had a chemical pregnancy had a slight positive line on first response then tried 2 days later and it was negative and have started bleeding unfortunately back to drawing board x

@Mummy2wannabe2020 i think this happened to me last month, i had 3 very faint positives on 3 different days 🙈 i am waiting until it's a definite missed period this month! X

Thanks everyone it's very disappointing when your cycles are on time and 5 days late and a faint positive then it's not. But gotta keep thinking that it wasnt meant to be x

Hey! How is everyone doing and what CD is everyone on?

I am currently CD24, wishing i had a 28 day cycle but im a 34 day going off my last 2 periods, long boring wait 🤦🏽‍♀️

I was thinking of trying this this month. However- I have a question.

It says to BD every other day from CD8. This would seem early (if you don't ovulate until CD20 onwards?).

However- I actually have the opposite issue. I ovulated CD11 last month. So is starting on CD8 still correct? Or should it be earlier?

@paintfairy i would start earlier to cover yourself just in case. And if your tracking ovulation i presume you will know when your goin to ovulate so i would go every day around ovulation too. Im a firm believer in covering all bases so i would probably do it every other day after ovulation too 😂😂

I'm tracking with OPK. I also did my temp last month. Both pointed to CD11 so I'm hoping its correct. You always do wonder though!

@paintfairy last month when I conceived we started on CD6 right after the end of AF. So glad I did because I think I conceived really early in the month (CD10-12) even though all my apps and OPKs said CD15-16. Next time I'm trying I'll definitely start right after AF again.

@bluemoon2468 I'm CD6 today. So I'd better get started then I think! 😂 I do wonder if it comes before we think.

@paintfairy yeah, I couldn't possibly have ovulated on CD16 because I implanted on CD20 😕

Just checking in - started with spotting yesterday and full on AF today -on CD 63! Glad to be starting afresh though. No PMS weirdly and I used to get it quite badly.

@Pixielou16 Sorry to hear AF got you but it's good you're seeing it as a chance to start afresh. Really hoping next cycle is yours. Remind me of your stats again? I used to scroll back on the thread to read everyone's stats but the thread is too long now and I get easily confused haha!

How are the rest of you getting on? Those that are TTC, those that have got their BFPs, those just starting SMEP, those in the throes of it.. those that have given up with SMEP completely! - We are all members of this wonderful thread :)

I myself am on CD22, waiting for O (as per usual), last month I Od on CD33 so I could be waiting a while. I'm loving the CB Digital Ovulation kit! I spent so much time last cycle peeing on LH sticks 3x a day, trying to decipher if they were positive or not.

Feeling semi-chilled this cycle.. trying to keep hopeful and loosely following a 'gratitude and intentions' journal. It pretty much consists of 'glad I'm breathing, but desperate for a baby', haha.
