Just looking for buddies to get me through the tww..

My app says I’m 2dpo but didn’t catch my exact peak just high fertility on clear blue and used cheapies to back up!

Having cramps and sore breasts but could still be ovulation?

@Missdrifter I won't be testing until I'm late. I find bfn plus AF more disappointing than just AF. Have you been trying long?

WooMaWang · 04/11/2019 17:35

I agree. AF is disappointing enough without a BFN beforehand.

I just took my handful of vitamins for the day. Honestly, 11 pills. Let's hope they're doing my aged ovaries some good 😆.

Missdrifter · 04/11/2019 18:03

I think that’s what I am going to do as well, it’s just so disappointing when AF arrives but then i suppose testing earlier means you have to wait even longer until next fertile stage.

@Skyla01 we started trying properly in July, we DTD unprotected in June but my partner was away for a week leading up to ovulation so we didn’t have chance then. I am 34 soon and this would be our first so I think If we haven’t had any luck by March time we will go to the doctors and get checked over.

ceejla · 04/11/2019 19:38

@WooMaWang oh yeah. Forgot about that. Works Christmas do - yeah they would deffo know! I've done god knows how many parties with that lot over the year and it's the one time I go crazy on the drink (it's free so why not 🤷🏼‍♀️). So yeah. That will be fun.

Still rather be pregnant though 😂

ceejla · 04/11/2019 19:40

@Skyla01 it would be cute wouldn't it! I am REALLY REAAALLLYYY trying to be more realistic here - pregnant first cycle? Doubtful. I'm late 20's so not like age is really against me or anything but you just don't know about these things!

ceejla · 04/11/2019 19:41

@Missdrifter deffo waiting until I am late. Honestly, I cannot deal with double disappointment. BFN then AF - no thanks

Sorry I have to keep replying separately to everyone because I forget who and what I am replying to 🤦🏼‍♀️

WooMaWang · 04/11/2019 20:01

You can just style it out @ceejla. My work do is a lunch. I'll just drive and say I've got to pick the kids up afterwards. That'll allay suspicion. 😂

Skyla01 · 04/11/2019 20:12

@WooMaWang what supplements are you taking? I'm only taking folic acid but wonder if I should take vit D too.

@ceejla it would be amazing if you could conceive 1st time! I think a third of couples do so you def have a chance.

@Missdrifter I'm nearly 33 so I worry a little about my reproductive age. Esp as we'd like more than one child and this is our first. We'll have been trying for a year in March. Lots of cycles to go before then but if we're still ttc I'll head to the GP at the one year mark and get the ball rolling. Hope it won't come to that though!

WooMaWang · 04/11/2019 21:09

@skyla I'm 39, so I thought I'd just go all in and take anything that might make things more effective in my system.

I read 'it starts with the egg' so I'm taking pregnacare max plus s whole pile of extra stuff. Vitamin D, extra folic acid, vitamin E, vitamin C, coenzyme Q10, alpha-lipoic acid, and

N-Acetyl-Cysteine.

DP is taking wellman conception and the CoQ10 too. So there are plenty of vitamins going round in this house. 😂

amysara24 · 04/11/2019 21:15

The nurse at the fertility clinic recommended inofolic to me - basically folic acid and myo-inositol.. I’ve been taking both daily in the hope it will help!
I’ve had quite a lot of white discharge today - not sure what it means but I’m guessing it’s probably not a good sign 🙁 still too early to test for me, but my FRER arrived today so I’m ready! Longest 2 weeks...

WooMaWang · 04/11/2019 21:56

You've got PCOS, don't you @amysara24? The it starts with an egg book definitely recommended myo-inositol for that. Apparently it can help in cases of recurrent miscarriage too.

amysara24 · 04/11/2019 22:12

@WooMaWang I do yeah, I had read about it online but wasn’t sure if it would be worth a try but when the nurse recommended it I went for it. I think it’s meant to increase egg quality and promote healthy follicle maturation... who knows, just when I think I know what’s going on in my cycle everything changes haha

WooMaWang · 04/11/2019 22:36

The it starts with the egg book is quite good. It has lots of information for women with PCOS.

Sunflower2019 · 05/11/2019 07:47

Hey girls, just catching up with all your comments! I’m thinking of going to the drs today.. is that crazy? It will be coming up to 6 months of trying soon and with these cramps and a family history of fertility issues (my mum) I just want to get checked out, as if there is something wrong then I will know sooner than later! I’m trying to see the nurse as my Dr is a family friend and i feel so uncomfortable around him!

How is everyone today? Although I have cramps, sore boobs etc I think I’m out this month! Want af to arrive if something so I can get on 😂

Had a dream about pregnancy tests last night.. I seriously have issues 🤪

Xxx

@OP it won't do any harm to go to the Drs. They might tell you to come back at the 1yr mark if you are under 35. Sometimes it's just good to talk to someone about it. What dpo are you now?

I'm just waiting for AF too. If she is going to come hope it's sooner rather than later- we're going on holiday on Saturday so want her gone before my holiday!

Sunflower2019 · 05/11/2019 08:24

@Skyla01 yes I thought that, I’m 32,33 in January! Just wondered if they could at least do some blood work and see if my hormones are okay etc. I don’t know how it works but my mum has PCOS. I’ve also had some cells burnt away from cervix and worried they may of come back.
I think if I knew my body was all in working order it would take the anxiety away and I could relax more.

I haven’t a clue I could be anything from 6-9/10dpo as I got smileys for a week squally ovulate between cycle day 10-13 and then i gave up but managed to get a positive opk on cd18.. but wouldn’t explain why I’ve had cramps for well over a week.

How long have you been trying? Xx

OP posts:
WooMaWang · 05/11/2019 08:28

No one wants to take AF on holiday. 😆

Is there another GP you could see at the practice, @Sunflower2019? The nurse might just tell you that you need to see a GP anyway.

I'm a bit uncomfortable and slightly crampy at the bottom of my stomach. I think it's just bowels Blush and related to the progesterone I'd have in my system in any cycle at this point. My body isn't used to having actual menstrual cycles and seems to react strongly to the hormonal changes. Eurgh.

Sunflower2019 · 05/11/2019 08:47

@WooMaWang oh no! How long have you been having cramps etc? Have you ever been to drs? I think I get ibs which doesn’t help!

Well I’m seeing nurse this morning and receptionist was actually sweet, I said I feel uncomfortable and maybe she can talk to dr for me, as he’d only send me to her for bloods etc anyway! I’m going to see what she suggests, think it will put my mind at ease.

My boobs have actually shrunk this month lol.. sure they seem smaller 😂 but they hurt!

I’ve dtd so much this month so definitely given it a good shot! Xx

WooMaWang · 05/11/2019 09:12

It's not really terrible. Just a bit of slight cramping (even cramping seems like a strong term for it) over the last few days. Apparently progesterone slows things down.

amysara24 · 05/11/2019 09:59

Ladies what sort of cramps are you experiencing? I’ve had horrible cramps all morning that feel like they’re right up at my cervix - almost like that smear test feeling! Sorry if that’s tmi. I’m out with a group of pupils on a trip today too and it’s not pleasant 🤦🏽‍♀️ Not sure if it’s something I should be concerned about or not

WooMaWang · 05/11/2019 10:18

Mine are quite dull cramps right at the bottom of my stomach. Nothing exciting or interesting.

Smear test like cramps sound dreadful.

Sunflower2019 · 05/11/2019 11:03

Hey girls, so I just got back from my appointment and I feel so much better than nurse was absolutely amazing and she done blood test to check for all of my levels and in 2016 I had my levels checked and they were all normal she mentioned about premenopausal test as well which I had done in 2016 which was something like 3% and if you’re going through the menopause it will be over 30 so she said hopefully that hasn’t changed either, she said I will get the results back in around a weeks time and we can go from there she also done Hey girls, so I just got back from my appointment and I feel so much better the nurse was absolutely amazing and she done blood test do you check for all of my levels and in 2016 I had my levels checked and they were all normal and she mentioned about premenopausal test as well which I had done in 2016 which was something like 3% and if you’re going through the menopause it will be over 30 so she said hopefully that hasn’t changed either, she said I will get the results back in around a weeks time and we can go from there she also done and examination and took some swabs but she said everything looked fine. She said maybe the worry of everything has been stopping me so hopefully I’ll get the results back and then I’ll be fine but I do feel so much more relieved to have gone xxx

@Sunflower2019 that’s fantastic news, hopefully with your mind at rest you’ll be able to relax a bit and enjoy it now! 😊
