I've packed all my stuff away and left out 2 x cheap ovulation sticks and one clearblue ovulation test. I don't want to get too obsessed so I think it's best. I know when I ovulate so it shouldn't be an issue.

I've taken my first ovulation test today - no clue what I'm doing! Its came back low so will try again on Tuesday I guess?

@CiaraJ01 I'm not sure if I was doing them right, but around my "fertile window" I'd do one everyday, at around the same time. Then when it went high, I'd do two a day (usually one AM and one PM) until I found the peak. Then go back down to one a day after that.
I'm not sure if the one a day after peak is necessary, I just wanted to make sure that was it! Haha xx

@Louu99 Thanks! I was wondering how does it know its low - when it's not seen my readings before?! 😂 But I'll try again tomorrow and see if theres a difference. I'm just a bit worried I might miss it as I've read stories some only last 12 hours?!

Last month I got my first positive OPK on cycle day 13. will I ovulate the same time this month? Or is it worth doing OPKS this morning too ( they are just so expensive )

@CiaraJ01 I guess some people's do, but I wouldn't want you to be peeing on sticks every time you go to the loo 😂

@CiaraJ01 it will record it as low if the reading is feint. The closer you get to peak the darker it will get. I got my peak without it been as dark as the control line so it's worth testing each day during your FW! See mine....

@HelloGeeniee I ordered the ones off amazon that someone recommend -25 for under a fiver that makes it a little less costly!

@FutureMrsSmith can I ask you what app you use to record your opks? I find self analysis so difficult when they're is hardly any difference between them

I'm using the Premom app and then the easy@home test strips. They were 25 for £6 on amazon. It's great as you take the picture and it records it for you, most helpful! I think the accountant in me prefers to see the numbers 😂
I believe the peak can be as short as 12 hours so they do suggest testing twice a day around ovulation. This is my first month TTC and haven't had my first period as yet since coming off the pill so I was happy just doing once a day and seeing what happened. I did have pain in my left hand side on the Monday & EWCM the same day I got my peak so I was confident it all made sense! I guess I'm in the TWW now but my first period could come anytime so I'll test in 2 weeks if nothing and go from there.

Has anyone had any symptoms during the 2WW? I'm not sure if I should be feeling something or not! X

I had a banging headache earlier (crippling! Never has that before) and then some mild cramping today. Trying to keep busy to take my mind off it as it's probably hunger and a normal headache 😂

Hey ladies, anyone just starting to 2ww? I'm 1-2 dpo and dont want to go through the tww alone! Also this month I got ovulation pain from both sides! My mind was blown lol

I'm in similar place to you three, although this is technically my first month trying, I only came off of the pill on the 22nd October so not sure if this classes as cycle #1?

I've been using Ovia to track for a few months just to get used to tracking but they predicted my fertile week as last week, was using opk sticks and all coming back low... although before that week there was no line at all so I started thinking my peak could still be low in comparison to other people and I had just missed the peak reading (as per my earlier post)

But then I bought the premom easy@home strips and entered my withdrawal bleed day on to their app, they have changed fertile week to this week and yesterday I got my peak, although my peak is still a 0.77 reading against 0.28 the previous week. Is it normal to be ovulating around cycle day 18? Seems late to me?

Am hoping this does mean I'm ovulating and if so will be ready to test around the 16th November or maybe earlier as I have the clear blue early detection, but conscious I don't want to get a false positive.

Is everybody's advice to wait until your period is actually due rather than use the early tests?

@Ellsbells112 hi, I think I might be in the same boat as you... see recent post.

I think I am 1-2 days DPO so will be due to test around 16th! I did have twinges on Saturday but only in my right side, would describe it as pinches more than pain. If you've had pain both sides perhaps you've released more than one egg?

@Balbaby hey! Yes I see I have read your post, my period is due 15/16 so I will be wanting to test around the same time as you! I would say wait till your period is late to test because it really is heart wrenching if you get a negative prior! I mean, from experience I've known I was pregnant before but it didnt come up on a preggo test till a week later so best to wait it out!

I dont know if ovulating day 18 is late it might be normal for you but also it may be your body regulating ovulation after coming off the pill so you might have a wacky month and then it'll level out.

I know I was researching about releasing two eggs its fascinating! Plus twins run in both sides of my family Haha that would be crazy if that happened! Though even if just one egg got fertilised I'd be happy!! Xx

I won't be testing till the day AF is due, just because I'm already driving myself mental so don't think I can handle the uncertainty of an early test 😂 it's it actually BFN or it just cos it's early etc etc etc!

So will be testing 16th November. Fingers crossed for us all!

It's nice to have people to go through the wait with! Also great for me as learning loads where I'm new to this!

I came off the pill not putting any pressure on this month, as you say my cycle is probably still regulating so definitely didn't expect to have any luck until my first proper cycle, but is funny how all that changes when you see the peak result on the opk... it's hard not to get your hopes up!

But going to try to stay chilled and if it happens it happens.. in the meantime I'll enjoy reading and learning from you all on this thread!

@Balbaby We should wait until AF is due but it's so hard!! I think alot give in and test early but it is disappointing when its negative - and a waste of a yest when you decide it was too early and try again later!! 😂
