Moving on from the October threads, join in those that will be testing at the end of November. (Which also happens to be my birthday!)

Currently 1DPO I think.

Had my static smiley CB OPK yesterday. Only managed to DTD last night and DH is now away till Wednesday. Fingers crossed, it's going to be a long two weeks.

Good luck everyone Thanks

@Balbaby my usual ovulation day or peak is around the 17/18th CD so I guess it could just be normal for you? Don't worry about it too much, everyone is different and our bodies are pretty incredible!

@stepmumma91 @Ellsbells112 my AF is due on the 17th so I guess we'll all be testing the same time! I hope I see some BFP's here the day before I test! So exciting 🙂

@CiaraJ01 so far I haven't really felt anything! I maybe feel a bit bloated, but that's pretty normal. No sharp pains as such, nothing that's not usual anyway. It makes me worry that AF will arrive and ruin my mood haha x

Ellsbells112 · 04/11/2019 11:49

@Louu99 ohh nice!! Let's hope we all get bfps!! Everytime af shows my mood is bloody awful! How long have you been ttc?

Louu99 · 04/11/2019 11:56

@Ellsbells112 this is the first proper month of trying around my fertile window, so I'm trying to be optimistic but I'd be extremely lucky for it to happen first time!
We haven't been careful in the past and nothing has happened so I am a bit worried about it. That and me being almost 32 and never having any accidents previously 🤷🏼‍♀️ it might be me overreacting but unless you try, how do you know!

How are you finding it all?
I think if it doesn't happen this month I need to calm down and not try and spot everything symptom haha x

stepmumma91 · 04/11/2019 12:25

@Louu99 ah, let's hope so! So nice to have people who will be testing at the same time, we're all in it together!

Ellsbells112 · 04/11/2019 12:46

@Louu99 you know what I'll be honest, the body is a crazy thing. I was in a 5 year relationship when I was in my teens and I used contraception maybe 20 percent of the time and never got pregnant in the whole 5 years. I was then with someone for 2 years and then got pregnant (no contraception ever this time I thought I couldn't have kids)..now, I was 18 and pressured into an abortion that I wasnt happy about, then I got pregnant again 2 months afterwards. So my whole point of saying this private stuff is, not getting pregnant for years doesnt necessarily mean the person isn't fertile...I just didnt want to be pregnant for all those years so it didnt seem like a long time!
Anyway, I had a copper coil in for about 5 years, had it taken out in april but my partner was still pulling out up till august/september when we sat down and said we will now actively try.

Sorry for the essay but I thought you or other ladies might be intrigued with the info...I mean it's a long time to not get pregnant jesus but it happens and once you catch it's like it doesnt stop!

Haha anyway, yes I'm finding it difficult this is the third month trying, I have anxiety too so I cant help but to think "what if I cant anymore" lol 🙄 I was a maniac the first month, last month I chilled out a lot but this month I can just feel the desperation again 🤣🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

FutureMrsSmith · 04/11/2019 12:57

@Ellsbells112 a friend of mine was trying for years with her ex partner and it never happened. They didn't have the best relationship and it ended.
She met her now husband and managed to conceive 3 girls... her first was unplanned. 2nd planned and 3rd was unplanned (6 weeks after she had given birth to her 2nd) she swears her body knew when it was the right time.

AF due 13th (assuming 1 month after stopping the pill) says I ovulated CD18 so @Balbaby I think that's pretty normal! I don't want to be the first to test ... so I may wait til the 16th with everyone else 😂 Iv had some cramping today.. trying not to focus and overthink but it's hard!

CiaraJ01 · 04/11/2019 13:11

@Ellsbells112
Thanks for your story! I'm trying not to dwell too much on the fact that me and my boyf have been together 10 years and not been the best at using contraception - but have never fell pregnant. I'm thinking if it's meant to be it will, but I know my boyfriend is a little concerned we (He) can't conceive- for no other reason than weve not accidentally fell on after all this time.

Now we're actively trying I think it will make him anxious very soon into the process 😕

Ellsbells112 · 04/11/2019 13:16

@FutureMrsSmith yes it's crazy! The body is a weird and wonderful thing!

@ciaraj01 no worries. It happens, I mean getting pregnant is no easy feat! Maybe he should get an analysis done just so it eases his mind? If you both find out there is no issue and that it will just take time to catch, I mean of course it's frustrating but at least theres no "what if I cant"

If it doesn't happen in the next few months I am tempted for my partner to get an analysis done as he doesnt have children of his own yet just in insure it can happen.

CiaraJ01 · 04/11/2019 15:59

@Ellsbells112 I thought you couldnt get tested until you've been trying for 12+ months? x

Ellsbells112 · 04/11/2019 16:06

@ciaraj01 how do they know how long you've been trying for? ;) x

Ellsbells112 · 04/11/2019 16:07

@CiaraJ01 theres always private too Haha I dont know if it works the same then

CiaraJ01 · 04/11/2019 16:35

I did always wonder how would they know!! I thought about the online ones too but I don't want to start looking into things too soon either 😕

Ellsbells112 · 04/11/2019 17:16

@ciaraj01 what does looking into it too early mean though really? I feel like it would be good to do if someone is anxious they cant have kids and that at least they arent stressing the whole time thinking they cant if you know what I mean? There is nothing wrong in making sure if thats what is needed for that person ...I guess the NHS have a year time scale on it otherwise everyone would want it done and it costs money :)

Anyway let's hope we all dont have to go that route anyway hah!!

Balbaby · 04/11/2019 17:28

@Louu99 @FutureMrsSmith good to know CD 18 is norm, fingers crossed I have actually ovulated and my peak is just naturally slightly lower at 0.77?

@CiaraJ01 I wouldn't worry, when you think how hard it is for couples planning pregnancy, it's no surprise people can be together for years and not accidentally fall pregnant. Me and my husband are the same, been together 1 years and whilst always on contraception there has been the odd missed pill etc and I was also concerned about never having an accident, but once you understand the science behind ttc and how little days a month it's possible, I'm now not concerned. I'm sure you'll be fine, try not to worry about it.

Balbaby · 04/11/2019 17:29

@CiaraJ01 correction should have read been together 10 years Smile

Skygirl1983 · 04/11/2019 17:56

Finally picked up my Amazon goodies from the post office. My easy@home opk has no instructions in English! That's a good start!! Thankfully they look easy enough to understand. Going to start them this week. As much as the hubby knows what's going on he hates talking about it loads so rolled his eyes a little bit when I told him how much sex we will be having this week! Haha! Thank god he didn't ask too much about the pre seed 😂

CiaraJ01 · 04/11/2019 18:23

Mine had no instructions either! I've just guessed 😂although a little worried about today's reading. You ladies mind having look??
Am I going crazy or are the bottom pics definitely have 2 lines - but coming up as zero?!

CiaraJ01 · 04/11/2019 18:25

I've now taken another photo (still under the 5 minutes) - and its ridiculously high?!

FutureMrsSmith · 04/11/2019 18:44

Hi @CiaraJ01 I have found that sometimes you've got to take a few pictures for it to register the result depending on the lighting! The 2.2 doesn't look right to me....
Yes no instructions but I found some online... 😂

Balbaby · 04/11/2019 18:54

@CiaraJ01 it seems a bit high to me? Could be the photo not lining up correctly? I do think the numbers are sometimes out. But taking the pics are still a good idea because you can see them in a line to track your own peak and then just use the numbers as a guide? Here are my recent photos

Louu99 · 04/11/2019 19:23

@CiaraJ01 @Balbaby I found the easy@home tab you're using was useless for me! It wouldn't register solid lines, just kept saying error and then 0/low. I use the next one across, the Premom one. I assume it's exactly the same, it works the same and everything, and that seems to give me what I hope are accurate results! X

CiaraJ01 · 04/11/2019 19:53

Thanks ladies! I'm going to do another shortly just to see - will compare it to a reading on the premom thanks @Louu99

@Balbaby I thought it might have been the lining up so took it 3 times 😂🙈

Balbaby · 04/11/2019 20:07

Thanks @Louu99 I'll give that tab a try!

CiaraJ01 · 04/11/2019 21:06

Soooooo I tried again, and it's higher?! Tried the other tab too @Louu99 and it's not as high but still really high?!
I'm only 10 days DPO? Am I broken? 😂😂
