I definitely will @sardi28 the only thing I'm confused about with all of this is I'm not bleeding yet. And I still have pregnancy symptoms. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is it normal. I thought symptoms would decrease. If anything they're increasing. I woke up with very sore nipples and feeling sick.

Did the GP say what your levels were and are they going to test them again to see if they're going up or down?
They must've been fairly high for the hook effect? Doesn't seem right for them to just leave it at that.
Sorry you're going through all this, so stressful for you!

LochNessMumster87 · 28/09/2019 11:05

He said the test he done could of been a mistake, my levels were very low and together with the tests getting fainter and fainter he said it definitely sounds like a missed miscarriage. But I was speaking to my mum and dad last night and they said if I'm worried, and I haven't had a bleed in the next couple of weeks and my symptoms are still there or getting worse then I should go for a scan just to put my mind at rest. Which I think is a good idea. I thought he would of wanted a scan, it says online to confirm a miscarriage you should have a scan. Maybe he was just sure and I didn't need one.

I agree with your parents, a scan and a second opinion could be helpful.

itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted · 28/09/2019 11:11

You may not bleed until hcg levels reach 0
Which can take weeks

A scan isn't actually routine to confirm a miscarriage especially if hcg levels are very low - hcg needs to be over 1000-1500 to see a sac in the uterus

I had a missed miscarriage in August. I went in for a scan at 6 weeks because I was bleeding bug was told that the bleeding was due to a henatoma. The baby was fine and had a heartbeat. Went in two weeks later at 8 weeks to see progress and there was no heartbeat. I wasn’t expecting it as my symptoms were still there. They gave me 3 options, natural (wait for a natural miscarriage) medical or surgical. They told me now that my body knew it was a missed miscarriage I should start to bleed on my own but it could take much longer. I opted to wait a week and nothing happened so I booked in for a medical. Before the medical, I asked to be scanned to make sure. The scan showed no heartbeat or growth, so I went ahead with the medical. I would ask to go for a scan and if the baby isn’t measuring right it’s (young) age then atleast you’ll know for sure and have options other than waiting it out. Which for me was so difficult especially as your body is screaming all the pregnant symptoms at you. So sorry this has happened, do take care

LochNessMumster87 · 07/10/2019 13:37

Thought I'd update, just incase it helps anyone going through the same thing. I'm still waiting on a bleed coming. I've been getting alot of pains in my stomach, and I've had very itchy nipples. I went to the toilet last night and when I wiped there was a tiny bit of pink. I thought... This is it. It's starting. But then it stopped and I've had nothing since. The bottom of my stomach is very hard and I'm even more bloated now. I have even more veins on my chest and I'm not really sure why. The doctor said the symptoms would fade away but if anything they're getting worse. My gyno is on leave until tomorrow so I'm gonna phone her and demand a scan. Because I really have no idea what's going on.

I had a look and there's a couple near me but I have no idea what to even book and how to explain everything. Because I have no idea how pregnant I even am or was.

Not last night but the night before I had sharp pains in the bottom of my stomach at the right side. Everytime I moved it was so painful. I just layed on bed and got my fiance to rub my back.

I'm sorry you're still in limbo! I would go back to your GP or gynaecologist as it really doesn't sound right, especially the pain.

sredwards · 08/10/2019 14:19

@OrangeHue do you mind me asking what your bleeding was like? Was it pinky or bright red blood? How long did you bleed for?

@LochNessMumster87 hope you get your scan soon. X

LochNessMumster87 · 08/10/2019 16:11

Well I got my answer last night. I was getting bad cramps. Went to the toilet alot of blood and alot of big clots. I'm sad. But I'm glad I did actually get pregnant, so it will happen again.

LochNessMumster87 · 12/11/2019 12:42

Just an update for everyone since I said I would.....after my bleeding from the miscarriage stopped I got a period 2 weeks later, and somehow.... I'm pregnant. Doctor thinks I ovulated pretty much right after my period stopped as we dtd the day it stopped. Bfps are faint, but today's is darker than yesterday's. The doctor says you can be very fertile after a miscarriage and the sooner you get pregnant again the better chance there is of a successful pregnancy.... So fingers crossed this one sticks and it's my hubby's birthday in a few days so he's gonna get the best present ever Grin

LochNessMumster87 · 12/11/2019 13:25

Very early, but from the amount if tests I done before my miscarriage, I know that it's positive, faint but there. Super early but today's test if slightly darker so I'm keeping my fingers crossed everything's OK Smile 13 weeks awww congrats, here's to a happy healthy pregnancy.... For both of us Flowers Flowers

@LochNessMumster87 I'm honestly so happy for you! Do you live in Scotland? With the name being lochness? Lol.

Twinmummy2018 · 12/11/2019 17:32

Sorry I’ve had loads of fake positives on those cheapies just like you. I would never trust a positive pregnancy test unless it was a clear bold line now.

2littleChicks · 12/11/2019 17:40

@LochNessMumster87 just read this whole thread and I'm so happy for the happy ending!! Please keep us updated!!

LochNessMumster87 · 12/11/2019 18:21

@sredwards yes I do lol
@Twinmummy2018 they were positive, all of them. I had an early miscarriage.
@2littleChicks thank you so much Smile I'm still in a bit of shock it happened so quick, but excited and praying this one sticks and we finally get the baby we've wanted for so long Grin
