Anyone successfully conceived after 9 cycles?

Basically as above. We need some hope/positivity. We are now in our 9th cycle TTC and we both feel really dejected. It really feels like that BFP is impossible. I kinda feel it's more likely we'll be going to see the GP for infertility than pregnancy :(.
I don't feel stressed, just sad.

Has anyone conceived naturally after 9 cycles? Do we just need to be patient.

Hope you're all having a lovely bank holiday x

How old are you? The answer is yes, you probably just need to be patient. It's perfectly normal for it to take a year to get pregnant.

StormcloakNord · 25/08/2019 22:14

We are coming up to cycle 9. No luck & not even a hint of a BFP. Its exhausting and cant help but be worried. I imagine we will be going to see GP for infertility too.

Hey op. It took us 10 months ttc DS. I was 30 when I conceived, 31 when I had him. Currently on cycle 9 of ttc #2.

mrssunshinexxx · 26/08/2019 08:39

@Rosieposy89 what do you do/take every month do you do smep every month for example or do you mix it up? X

Rosieposy89 · 26/08/2019 11:42

@Littlefish I am 30, husband is 34. I know deep down I need to be patient but it's just hard month after month

@StormcloakNord - I am so sorry to hear you are in the same boat. It is so frustrating. Some months are ok but I am getting so dejected by it. I hope things happen for us both soon. X

@Chefwifelife thanks for replying, that really helps. I'm 30 too. It must be so frustrating doing it all over again for you. Fingers crossed x

@mrssunshinexxx husband takes wellman conception and I take pregnacare. We don't track ovulation as I would find that too stressful. We have sex regularly probably 4-5 times a week - that has always been our normal.

In that case I would suggest smep and tracking with clear blue opks they are expensive but accurate you could be missing the vital time.
I went off apps for 4 months and realised in month 5 I had been completely missing it xx

It took us three years to conceive our second child, which I am currently 32 weeks pregnant with. It was very frustrating, especially as we managed to conceive our daughter the second month of trying.

I know it’s infuriating but if you want a baby then you just need to keep going and have hope that it will happen. If you get to the year mark and still nothing then I’d go to the doctor for a full fertility mot for both of you to rule out any problems. Good luck!

16 months here first child. About 4 months second. Conception so random, was starting to worry for sure. Mine are teens now so can’t remember what ovulation kit I used but I think I got pregnant on a day I shouldn’t have in theory. Keep at it!

I found taking Pregnacare made my cycle a bit weird, and a few people have had the same thing - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/3656388-prenacare-causing-irregular-cycles
Hope the link works!

winetime1980 · 26/08/2019 13:29

Start using clear blue ovulation sticks, the window when you can conceive is quite small so these are essential to know when to dtd!
I used to conceive with second child as didn't have time to waste, currently sat breastfeeding him 🥰

Chefwifelife · 26/08/2019 13:37

Which clear blue ovulation tests would you recommenced? I tried the digital ones with smiley faces when ttc last time and never ever got a peak!

Chefwifelife · 26/08/2019 17:22

Op sorry just realised I wrote on your thread rather than my own about opks!

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 26/08/2019 17:29

I use Asda ovulation tests. They work fine for me and I’m able to see a clear peak.

OP, I’m also on cycle 9. I know exactly how you feel and am currently in the TWW. I find it hard not to get my hopes up each month.

ChikiTIKI · 26/08/2019 17:43

Age 27 I got pregnant first month and had a successful pregnancy. Age 29 it took 12 months although I had a MC during that time. Only 8 weeks pregnant now though so obviously too soon to know if this one will be successful.
