Thought the old one was getting a bit full so I'd start a new one. I'll attempt tagging as many as I can

@Sunshine8888 yeah that's what I'm like 🤦🏼‍♀️ hopefully see a change in the height/softness

Haha god no not after a red chilli! 🤦🏼‍♀️ that would definitely stop you DTD for a while 😂 x

Motherofkittens28 · 20/08/2019 18:01

Good luck Raizelrea!

lunasunshine · 20/08/2019 18:02

Hi everyone! First ever post on mumsnet Smile. I’m at the beginning of my TTC journey and would love to be able to chat about it with people who “get it”!

A little about me:

I’m 30, have been trying for a baby for 1 month (first child) and have just entered a new cycle (I’m on day 3). Currently using an Ava bracelet and will try the clear blue digital OPKs this cycle. Really new to all this TTC stuff. It’s a minfield! Oh and I was really bummed when AF arrived on Sunday! Hmm

Anny27 · 20/08/2019 18:17

Congratulations again @PrincessConsuela12 :D thats quite a few BFPs we have had this month!!!

@flossy12 i have no idea about cervix and how to feel or what to feel for so i have given up on that one haha

@Motherofkittens28 welcome to the thread :) what cycle day/ dpo are you?

@Raizelrea welcome! And good luck during fertile week :)

@Larrydavid the temp dreams never stop haha!

I am 7dpo today and was having some cramping last night - no other symptoms!

Anny27 · 20/08/2019 18:20

@whatsthecraic91 good luck with everything lovely ❤ look out for yourself and enjoy a few months of wine and spontaneous (rather than planned!) Dtd :p

@lunasunshine welcome :D i am on cycle 3 and was also super bummed out when the first AF arrived after first month of ttc! Good luck with the journey:)

flossy12 · 20/08/2019 19:00

@Anny27 haha yeah I'm going to give it my best shot

MrsH497 · 20/08/2019 19:04

@whatsthecraic91 I totally get that feeling of it taking it's toll on your mental health.
Good luck with the house love etc and look after yourself lovely x

Aww @whatsthecraic91 we have been on a few threads together. Wishing you some happy healthy relaxing months not thinking about ttc 💜 xxx

Motherofkittens28 · 20/08/2019 19:09

Hi Anny27, I'm only just 2-3 dpo so I'm being ridiculous to think I can feel anything! I just feel odd somehow and I'm hopeful. Wishing you a bfp this cycle!

lunasunshine · 20/08/2019 19:15

@Anny27 thank you! It’s weird, I’ve been so chilled and not in a rush to TTC for years, but as soon as we decided that we were ready I wanted it to happen straight away! I’m getting really impatient already ...

flossy12 · 20/08/2019 19:36

@whatsthecraic91 sorry to hear your leaving us for abit 😘 good luck with the house it sounds exciting!! Xx

Macbless · 20/08/2019 19:57

@whatsthecraic91 good luck with the house move and with taking a break. It’a Good to recognise when to stop for a while. I’ll miss your posts!

I’m on cycle 4 and this month DTD is definitely starting to feel like more of a planned chore than enjoyable part of our relationship. My DH has just changed jobs and is feeling stressed which does nothing for his sex drive. I feel like i’m adding extra stress by suggesting we have sex. I try to make it spontaneous but i’m such a planner it’s hard to!

@Sunshine8888 @flossy12 I would have no clue what to feel for with the cervix. Doing a bit better with CM. It’s definitely appearing to be more EW in nature which would tie in with FW.

Welcome newbies. There are lots of ladies and lots of posts but everyone is super supportive xx

Smwh1 · 20/08/2019 20:45

@PrincessConsuela12 congratulations!! What exciting news 😃

Welcome @lunasunshine - it's amazing how quickly you can drive yourself mad isn't it?!

I'm due AF Saturday and promised myself I was going to wait until then to test. But I'm WFH all week this week and the willpower needed to stop myself testing when I'm in the house all day is unreal 😂

Blossomingflower94 · 20/08/2019 20:50

@smwh1 you can do it! If you've waited this long another few days is totally possible xx

PrincessConsuela12 · 20/08/2019 21:15

Thank you all Thanks I've got a banging headache this evening but I think it's due to not eating properly today, I just couldn't believe it & spent most of my lunch break rushing to the chemist and home taking more tests Blush

Mrskcam · 20/08/2019 22:41

@PrincessConsuela12 just popped on to let you know I had a scan at what turned out to be 3+5 and they saw a 4mm gestational sac and that was all. I went back two weeks later at 5+5 and could see gestational sac, yolk sac and fetal pole on abdominal scan and then got to see baby's heartbeat with transvaginal scan!! They said they don't usually expect to see heartbeat till 6 and a half weeks and were surprised they saw anything on either scan so if you don't see anything don't panic but if you do then that would be awesome for you! Hope that puts your mind at rest a little x

flossy12 · 20/08/2019 22:46

@Macbless I known your struggle, I'm on cycle 4 too and really want this month to be our month otherwise we will have to stop for a while due to commitments next year 😫😫 I'm really trying to stick to SMEP but OH struggled the other night due to it feeling like I was pressuring him which isn't what we want it to feel like

It's hard he had this image of us 'making passionate love' and then just falling pregnant when in reality we just aren't that lucky x

I'm getting my CM down to a T now I think noticed my EWCM last month as was early and so did an OPK and came back positive! So feeling good about that!

Anny27 · 21/08/2019 07:53

@Motherofkittens28 i am the same even at 1dpo haha! I havw noticed that my normal pms symptoms are similar to pregnancy ones so i try not to symptom spot so much now (try is the key word as i still do it haha)

@lunasunshine totally! Once you have made up your mind that this is the next step in your life its hard not to be inpatient

@Macbless @flossy12 I think my DH also feels some pressure during fertile window! Being a planner is hard. We used to have sex more often before the pressurewas there to have to do it.

@Smwh1 you have lasted so well not to test. Just a few more days :D although i would totally be cracking out the tests by now haha

8dpo today and feeling very normal (dont have sore boobs at all and usually i do at this point in my cycle though..)

flossy12 · 21/08/2019 08:28

@Anny27 yeah I know 😅 my OH and I fell out of the whole 'making love' things for a while legit was like once or twice a month, so this has all be an exciting change for us x

Lottiepink · 21/08/2019 10:28

@MrsH497 thank you for the tag and for starting the next thread,

@PrincessConsuela12 congratulations, amazing news, hope everything goes well for you this time 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Welcome to all the new members!

I'm on holiday now for 2 weeks, a break away is just what we needed! I'm CD9 and done something so crazy that I can't believe it... left the ovulation strips and the thermometer at home 😱
So just going to dtd plenty, when we want to and not plan anything. Hope I made the right choice as my ov date can vary a little, but I just thought it might do me good to not stress 😂 doctors when we get home so this might be the calm before the storm 🤣

PrincessConsuela12 · 21/08/2019 10:39

Thank you @Lottiepink

@Mrskcam Thank you!! That's really helped, I'll be a little further so I'm really keeping my fingers crossed. X

lunasunshine · 21/08/2019 11:08

Morning all! How are we doing?

Thanks for all being so lovely and welcoming on this thread 😊. I’m on CD4 today and desperate for this period to finish so I can start gearing up for ovulation time. I’ve also got the clear blue OPKs to see if my ovulation is matching up with my Ava bracelet predictions and it says I should start testing from CD8. I’ve never used them before and I’m weirdly excited!🤣 Never knew how impatient I was until I started TTC!

Motherofkittens28 · 21/08/2019 18:49

Hi everyone, I'm still having funny twingey tugging sensations in my belly and I've been nauseous with heartburn on and off all day, also feeling quite dizzy. It's so early I feel like I'm imagining it all but I definitely don't normally feel like this during my cycle. It seems a long time to wait until I can test! @Lottiepink I think that's totally the right attitude, relax and have a good time and you never know!

Sunshine8888 · 21/08/2019 18:53

@motherofkittens28 I can relate! I’m the same DPO as you I think (I didn’t use opks so can’t be totally sure) and I’ve been feeling sick on and off. Also getting sharp pains in my boobs and down there! I’m putting it down to hormone changes as it’s too early to be anything else but it’s not very pleasant!

Macbless · 21/08/2019 19:12

@Lottiepink have a lovely holiday. We’re going away in a couple of weeks for our honeymoon (we got married in May) I’m wondering if I should leave it all behind and just enjoy time with my DH. He’s already joking that there is no way I could go without my thermometer! Xx
