Thought the old one was getting a bit full so I'd start a new one. I'll attempt tagging as many as I can

Have found out tonight that I need to have major surgery in the New Year - not sure whether to put TTC on hold if this month doesn’t work out but then I keep telling myself that no one knows the future etc. Sorry to derail the thread, I just need to vent I think. It’s all I’ve wanted for so long and I don’t know what to do for the best Sad I’m sure I’ll snap out of my pity party tomorrow when I’ve had time to digest

ValidUser · 24/09/2019 21:46

@Redmarchingband sometimes self-sympathy and empathy are warranted! That's a really tough decision. What cycle are you on? X

Redmarchingband · 24/09/2019 21:53

@ValidUser This month is cycle 7. My period came a week early last month so I’m not sure when I’m going to ovulate - today is CD18 and so far all my OPKs have been negative this cycle. If you have any tips I’d be really grateful Smile

ValidUser · 24/09/2019 22:03

@Redmarchingband I may not be much help. I'm on cycle 16!

I'm lucky to be 29. I did have to take 2 months off because of fertility surgery, but there was no decision to be made there as such.

Without extracting info you don't want to share, it probably depends on the surgery, your stress levels, your age and what having the surgery with a young baby at home might mean.

Redmarchingband · 24/09/2019 22:12

@ValidUser you’re helping by talking though so that’s great. If it makes you feel any better, I came off the pill in June 18 but didn’t actually have a period until March so I understand how you feel in terms of how long it’s taking. I’m only 24 but have lots of medical issues so wanted to give myself the most time with a baby. It’s leg surgery so DH is worried about rehab if I’m pregnant but I think it’s manageable. Kudos to you for remaining positive - your time will come and it will all be worth the wait Smile

ValidUser · 24/09/2019 22:19

@Redmarchingband will they still operate if you are pregnant?

MIW01 · 25/09/2019 09:08

@Kiza yes fortunately she already has a 5 year old but she had a break down over WhattsApp the other day cause she desperately wants another one. I couldn't bear to tell her about our situation.

@ValidUser I did wonder when reading through your posts after what GP told us as progesterone is what makes the pregnancy stick. She said that even if DPs sperm does manage to fertilise the egg I may not have enough progesterone to make it stick. I did have this big black clot (sorry if TMI) in 2nd cycle so hit Dr Google and got BFN when tested but this would make sense if it was a fertilised egg that never stuck as it only produces HCG after implantation. Hopefully they will find an answer and get you your sticky bean!

Lozzlepop · 25/09/2019 20:00

Evening ladies

@Kiza I think I may have already asked you that question before so sorry for having to repeat yourself! I hope you don’t have too long of a wait! It is annoying that there’s such long waits!

@ValidUser it hits you hard when it sinks in doesn’t it! But hopefully you are on the road to finding some answers 🤞🏻

@MIW01 thank you so much! I do to, the waiting and not know is the worst bit, also the trying not to conceive has been more challenging than expected 😂

How’s everyone's weeks going? I’m so tired tonight! Can’t wait for bed, but first location, location, location ☺️

Larrydavid · 25/09/2019 20:32

Evening ladies! I'm so exhausted, been on a course all week and fly to japan tomorrow - desperately trying to get all my work done this evening before I go!

Apparently I'm 4dpo - my temp never did any major dropping or rising. Is this normal? Any temping experts out there ? @ELW85 ?

@Lozzlepop I'm putting on location location location! Also, thought you'd be pleased to know that me and my partner managed to sneak in some DTD - not in a tent this time - but determined to keep to our smep routine (for all the good it's doing 🙄) he came to my air b n b whilst I was on my course, I snuck him in, then it all went terribly wrong when he got cramp! In my head it was going to be romantic - it wasn't, just hilarious 😂 - I don't think there's much chance that our timing was right this month!

@MrsEG how are you getting on?

Lozzlepop · 25/09/2019 20:59

Evening @Larrydavid are you off to Japan for business or a holiday? Haha oh I do love the SMEP in unusual location stories ☺️ I love that you snuck him into the air bnb ☺️ Sorry to hear you don’t think it’s your month but year really never know with TTC! How long are you away for?

MIW01 · 25/09/2019 21:52

@lozzlepop @Larrydavid I'm on it with Location Location Location!

MIW01 · 26/09/2019 10:14

@Larrydavid that is hilarious you snuck him into the air b'n'b Grin the things we put ourselves through TTC!

ELW85 · 26/09/2019 15:55

Sorry for the late reply @Larrydavid!
So you didn’t have a temp shift? Did you do anything differently this month, either with temping times or major travel, exercise regimes etc?
No temp shift usually means an anovulatory cycle, but it’s usually caused by something.
It could also just be a very slight temp shift.
Could you post your chart?

ELW85 · 26/09/2019 15:56

@Larrydavid - just seen the Japan comment 😂 if I had to put money on why, that would be it!! It can certainly delay or prevent Ov!

ELW85 · 26/09/2019 15:57

@Larrydavid - ignore the previous post. I’ve been up since 5.30 and I’m exhausted!!

Kiza · 26/09/2019 21:11

Sorry for delayed response, hectic week at work! Managed to have my Accupuncture session this week as due to ovulate next week and I loved it, zened out! Early night as up again at 5.30am 😴
@ELW85 I'm guessing you must be having an early night too if you've been up since 5.30 also?

MIW01 · 26/09/2019 22:15

Having read all the feedback on accupuncture, I'm inclined to give it a go.

Kiza · 27/09/2019 06:53

@MIW01 I'd say it's certainly regulated my cycles to a typical 28 day with ovulation on day 14/15.
Our GP said he wasn't allowed to recommend it as the NHS don't have enough evidence to back it, however he said privately he strongly recommends it for a number of different issues.

ELW85 · 27/09/2019 09:57

@Kiza - I did have an early one. Shattered! The train was super late because of signal failures, so I didn't get home until about 7pm.

Anny27 · 27/09/2019 15:20

@kiza thats so interesting that it regulated your cycles! Really cool

Hope everyone else is doing well xx

MIW01 · 27/09/2019 22:53

@Kiza that's great it's made such a noticeable difference. I'm fortunate in that my cycles are now fairly regular (28/29 days) it's my progesterone levels I need to increase! So hopefully it can help with that.

Though oddly enough, found out this evening that DP's Dad also has sluggish swimmers and he was unplanned! So there is hope for us all yet! Grin

Larrydavid · 28/09/2019 00:36

@ELW85 I'm in japan now but this happened before I travelled. I think there's a slight temp shift but it's not obvious like last month. Or maybe it is! Here's my chart... (thanks in advance for looking! Hope you're well?!)

Kiza · 28/09/2019 07:25

@ELW85 gutting about your train- especially when in that moment you're just desperate to get home!
@Anny27 @MIW01 yeah I was a bit sceptical at first but it happened after the first session, I ended up ovulating super early at cd 11 the AF at cd 26 and from then on regular cycles for the last 4 months.
Even thought we now know I'm all good and it's DP sperm morphology I'm going to keep up with the Accupuncture once a month the week before O

Up early to head out to the gym and now need to look for more supps to improve DP sperm morphology- he's going to end up being a Right pill popper! 😆

ELW85 · 28/09/2019 08:02

@Larrydavid - enjoy Japan! Very jealous 😊 I’m well thank you, got our Harmony results yesterday (all good!) and found out we’re having a little boy, so very excited!
There’s definitely a temp shift after CD 13 but I think because you’re pre Ov temps are a bit erratic, it’s making it look less steep. Your temps aren’t near the cover line so all good!

@Kiza - it was horrendous! I need to get my team to travel more to me, especially in the coming months! Enjoy the gym 😊

MrsEG · 28/09/2019 08:06

@Larrydavid Hello lovely thanks for asking, I’m getting on fine - found out a few weeks ago the twins are both boys. Have my 20 week scan now in just over a week. Have a fabulous time in Japan!
