Thought the old one was getting a bit full so I'd start a new one. I'll attempt tagging as many as I can

Hello everyone. AF came today.

If I'm honest, I think I had another chemical. The line was almost gone on Tuesday night and back on Wednesday.

My gynaecologist is due to contact me this week.

Thanks for all the support. X

MrsH497 · 23/09/2019 18:57

Oh @ValidUser so sorry to hear that lovely sending you huge hugs xxx

So sorry @ValidUser I'm really sad to hear that.

Anny27 · 23/09/2019 19:17

Sorry to hear that @validuser :( xxx

flossy12 · 23/09/2019 19:24

Sorry to hear that sweetheart 😔💞 @ValidUser

Lottiepink · 23/09/2019 19:59

@ValidUser so sorry to hear that 😢

Kiza · 23/09/2019 20:02

@ValidUser it's awful that you're going through this, I hope your gynaecologist is able to help with some ideas or reassurance.
How many chemicals have you had? I'm just wondering if it's worth considering the recurrent miscarriage unit?

Lozzlepop · 23/09/2019 20:49

Oh @ValidUser I’m so so sorry to hear this sending lots of love your way ❤️

ValidUser · 23/09/2019 22:22

Thanks @Lozzlepop @Kiza @Lottiepink @flossy12 @Anny27 @Lemonysherbet @ELW85 and @MrsH497.

I'm ok, really. Part of me is wondering if I should trust these really faint BFPs. Part of me knows a line is a line. Part of me is pleased that I seem to be able to get pregnant. A very big part is wondering why I can't seem to get beyond the very faint line stage.

I'm going to keep going with our current plan. I've gained a few kilos on all the hormones, so focusing on losing those pre ivf in January (which is feeling more likely at the moment).

Not wallowing in misery, but I need to be realistic too. You lot and DH and my colleagues and cats are all fabulous. ❤️

Larrydavid · 23/09/2019 22:53

@ValidUser I'm so sorry to read this. I hope you're ok 💛

Whatnext11 · 24/09/2019 06:05

@validuser so sorry to hear that, I hope you can get some answers

Kiza · 24/09/2019 07:48

@ValidUser your strength is admirable, I think I'd be crying with frustration by now!
We got our results back yesterday, all my blood work is great, however DP has teratazoospermia (basic a low amount of healthy formed sperm). The GP was very blaze about it, but the doctor at the clinic was more serious and we are now being referred to the fertility clinic.
DP is healthy, no smoke, no drinking, takes vitamin E and Coq10, very fit and healthy so not sure what we can do to increase the healthy formed sperm?
The doctor also said it could be a reason for MC as when an 'abnormal formed' sperm fertilises an egg it results in MC.
Let's hope the wait for the clinic appointment isn't too long.
Or if anyone knows about this and has some ideas of what he can do I'd love to hear it?

ELW85 · 24/09/2019 08:52

@ValidUser - you’ve got a brilliant attitude towards this; you’re doing so well. I’ve got so much respect for your outlook and will keep absolutely everything crossed for you and your DH for January (and all of the time in between).

@Kiza - I’m sorry, I’ve got no experience of that, but it’s great you’ve got a way forward!

MrsEG · 24/09/2019 10:37

Hello ladies, just checking in on this thread to see how everyone is doing - @ValidUser I’m so sorry to see what you are going through. It’s really devastating to see those lines only for it not to end the way you hope. I’m really thinking of you and have everything crossed for the next few cycles. Does it help in any way knowing you have that IVF option in January? Sending lots of love your way x

Anny27 · 24/09/2019 13:56

You've definitley got an amazing attitude in this difficult time @validuser

ValidUser · 24/09/2019 14:28

Thanks everyone - afraid to tag in case I leave someone out!

@MrsEG I'm glad to have a plan, but nervous because I'm not sure ivf would change much.

I'm coping. Most of all, I'm tired of all the drama of TTC. I'm sure many can relate!

Lozzlepop · 24/09/2019 17:17

@Kiza glad to hear that you got your results back and all is ok on your side and at least you have some form of answer, glad the clinic dr was more understanding of the situation. How long did you have to wait for your appointment for blood tests etc? We are 3 weeks into our 6-8 week wait for a letter, not that I’m counting 😏

@ValidUser I know exactly what you mean, it’s almost bittersweet I know I can get pregnant but the last 2 times haven’t made it past 6 weeks and it’s so disheartening. We just need to stay strong and believe in a positive outcome ☺️

Kiza · 24/09/2019 18:50

@Lozzlepop , we were very lucky and didn't have to wait at all for our blood tests/ SA. I just had to wait until my next CD21. We also got the results back within a week.
The wait for the fertility clinic may be longer though, we forgot to ask that 🤦🏼‍♀️
So frustrating that you have to wait that long, I remember my friend in Nottingham had to wait 3 months for her blood tests.

MIW01 · 24/09/2019 19:43

@Lozzlepop @ValidUser commisserations for your losses! How awful. I hope they are able to find a way to help you both.

Sorry I've only just caught up with the full 25 now 26 pages of this thread and a lot has happen so apologies if I get any of this wrong!

I'm now 34, TTC #1 this month is 4th cycle, regular 28-29 day cycles. I have low progesterone, all other hormones 'normal'.

@Kiza my DP has 'sluggish swimmers' with 'a few funny looking ones' according to our GP. But she didn't seem too concerned. I've put him on wellman conception supplement and we're both on a low carb, whole foods nutrition plan. He is v. Fit and healthy, I think the main thing for us both is stress management.

GP informed us that average time TTC is 6 months up to age 35 then increases to 1 year and 80% couple conceive within 1 year and 90% with 2 years unassisted.

Kiza · 24/09/2019 20:39

@MIW01 well with me being 39 and him being 35, let's hope year number 2 of TTC happens for us 🤞🏼

MIW01 · 24/09/2019 21:03

@Kiza definitely 🤞 I have family history of early menopause on both sides of the family and my sister has just been diagnosed with at age 31 so I am holding on to hope! That's why I insisted we both got tested.

ValidUser · 24/09/2019 21:06

Thanks @MIW01 and @Lozzlepop. X

Just had a call from my gynaecologist. He plans to investigate me for recurrent miscarriage.

Overwhelming to hear it phrased like that, but good to get checked out.

Kiza · 24/09/2019 21:27

@ValidUser completely understandable that it feels overwhelming, I know some people don't necessarily class CP as MC, however I feel it's important to. Has your partner been tested for anything?

@MIW01 oh gosh that is really early, thank goodness you pushed for early testing to rule things out!

ValidUser · 24/09/2019 21:33

@Kiza we know he has decent sperm count, morphology and motility but he needs to get dna fragmentation done (if we're doing ivf).

In the coming weeks, I need a thrombophilia screen and we both need karyotyping done.
