Thanks @ELW85 @Lozzlepop @Lottiepink ❤️

@ELW85 I hope your work from home day went okay. It's human nature to feel down about something like this, we all understand where you're coming from and how you feel. Take care of yourself lovely xx

@Lottiepink ah sorry about the possible af symptoms! I have everything crossed that she doesn't show!

@XjustagirlX fingers and toes crossed that af isn't showing and you get positive bees!

@Lozzlepop glad the weathers improved atleast! The weather does not look good the rest of the week over here - lots of rain predicted!
Good luck taking your cat to the vet! The older one tears me to shreds if I try put her in the carrier!

So, thinking back to this cycle, I think it was the pregnacare vitamins that delayed my ovulation.. It's the only thing I've changed this cycle. Also, I forgot to take them with me on holiday, so didn't have them for just over a week and I ovulated a few days after I got back! Not sure if they'd be out of my system that fast, but just makes me think..
Did some googling and quite a few people have had the same issues, apparently due to certain B vitamins.. 🤔🤷🏽‍♀️
I know it works for a lot of people, but I think I'm going to switch back to the folic acid and vitamin d tablets I was previously taking.
Hopefully this cycle will be a better one for me!

ELW85 · 15/07/2019 17:29

Afternoon all

I went home and it was much better for my head space!
DH is ok, gradually calming down about his ex, he’s got way bigger fish to fry at the moment poor guy!
I took another FRER and the line is there (not lighter) so I’ve no idea what’s going on. Take it a day at a time.
I really can’t thank all of you enough for being so amazing though, @LokiCat @Lozzlepop @MrsH497 @MrsEG @Lottiepink @FlorenceLane @XjustagirlX @Anny27 xx

@LokiCat - it’s definitely b vits that suppress estrogen to help progesterone, so I’m not surprised your Ov was delayed (it did the same to mine this month).
I resumed them after Ov though, to try and help my progesterone so you could try that?
The boots conception vits have a lower b concentration if that’s any help?

@lozzlepop - it’s a glorious day! Definitely too hot for the gym, if the garden is too hot! Can I use that excuse? 😂

I hope everyone has had a lovely Monday!

MrsH497 · 15/07/2019 17:53

@ELW85 yay! Keep positive lovely x

Anny27 · 15/07/2019 18:02

@ELW85 thats promissing :) it might be that hcg doubles every few days so in a few days it might start to get darker xxx

LokiCat · 15/07/2019 18:37

@ELW85 That sounds very positive. Sometimes being at work whilst trying to deal with this can make it seem a lot worse as well, so I'm glad you're in a better headspace at home.
Bless your DH, I hope the evening is better for you both! ❤️
Oh that's a good recommendation. I previously took the Superdrug tablets, so will get those again and take Pregnacare after ovulation. I already bought a new box so have to finish them somehow! 😂
I also just bought the BBT thermometer you use in the Prime day sale! I'm excited for it to arrive (plus it comes with 20 free ovulation strips) - score!Grin

LokiCat · 15/07/2019 18:39

Oh also, Amazon is doing Prime Day offers on the CB digital ovulation tests if anyone is looking!

Anny27 · 15/07/2019 19:30

@LokiCat ooh thanks for the tips! Will have a look now. Which bbt did you get?

Bit strange, i had an almost positive OPK last night, a positive one this morning and now an almosy positive one. So looks like i had my LH surge and havr potentially ovulated but i have had no EWCM this month Hmm strange! DTD anyway just incase it was ovulation

LokiCat · 15/07/2019 19:52

@Anny27 it's this one - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Smart-Basal-Thermometer-Femometer-Intelligently/dp/B072JRPYFR/ref=mpssa113?keywords=femometer+smart+oral+basal+thermometer&qid=1563216018&s=gateway&smid=AHJWNBQFW00QV&sprefix=femome&sr=8-3
Do you usually get EWCM? It sounds like you've covered your bases! Temping can be useful for this reason, as it can sort of confirm if you have ovulated. However I know when you're just starting to TTC, it can all seem a bit much. I didn't start temping till the cycle just gone (8). Maybe keep an eye to see if you get EWCM, just in case?
Fingers crossed you've caught ovulation, anyway 😊

Anny27 · 15/07/2019 20:13

Thanks @LokiCat :)

Yeah usually i get EWCM which is why its strange to not have it :/ i will keep an eye on it as maybe i got ready to ovulate but didnt actually

Yeah BBT tracking seems good to make sure you know if you ovulated! I have ordered the thermometer (hopefully i wont need to use it and we get out BFP this month :p)

ELW85 · 15/07/2019 20:54

Ah that’s great, @LokiCat! I honestly can’t recommend that thermometer (or it’s app) enough :)
Happy to help with absolutely anything that I can! There are some really good OPK strips that you might have gotten free with it, called Ova View? They’re good and I’ve got loads left if this all works out, so will happily send them!
And thank you for your lovely words; so comforting and I can’t thank you enough xx

Thank you @Anny27 - I feel like it’s been a bit of an emotional day but whatever will be will be for the right reasons xx

@MrsH497 - thank you so much, how are you feeling? Xx

ELW85 · 15/07/2019 20:54

@LokiCat - although you won’t need them for long we got everything crossed that this will be your cycle :)

MrsH497 · 15/07/2019 21:19

@ELW85 I'm being a Debbie downer tonight got a BFN this morning at 10dpo been having cramps which is unusual for me pre AF. Still high closed cervix. AF probably due weekend. Am I just too early testing?

Lottiepink · 15/07/2019 22:11

@XjustagirlX hopefully it will be implantation for you, in not too sure when it's classed as late for that..

@LokiCat thank you, it's defo not her tho, she's well on her way! The pregnacare I think has maybe affected my ovulation also, but also lengthened my luteal phase! may try other vitamins tho too, see if I can shorten ovulation and lengthen luteal even more, thank you!

@ELW85 my fingers are still tightly crossed for you!! Hopefully it's a sticky one!

@MrsH497 How do you find tracking your cervix? If you don't mind me asking? I always seem to try and it's very high/i don't know what to feel for 😂😂

MrsH497 · 15/07/2019 22:19

Haha @Lottiepink I've tried a few months now I notice it drop before AF the whole soft/firm open/closed is much harder I find but eventually you get used to it. Sounds stupid but use the same finger, use your knuckles as a guide for the high/medium/low etc
X

LokiCat · 15/07/2019 22:34

@Anny27 that's the exact that happened to me last month! Got a OPK positive, but no EWCM. Then had EWCM later down the cycle, which is when I actually ovulated (confirmed by temp!).
I hadn't realised it was possible to have two LH surges until I researched it.
As you say though, fingers crossed you've caught it and this is your cycle Grin xx

@ELW85 you're so sweet, thank you ❤️
I think I've just ordered about 70 ovulation strips though! Ordered the 50 one step that I usually use earlier today and now have 20 free coming as well 😂 I really hope DH doesn't open the packages, he'll think I've gone mad (more so than usual 🙈🙈)
Are you working home from tomorrow, as well? I hope you've had a relaxing evening together lovely xx

@MrsH497 ah sorry about your BFN. It's understandable to be upset, but 10dpo is still relatively early, especially if you think AF is not due till the weekend. I think anything before 12dpo is quite early. Your CP sounds promising! Fx for you xx

@Lottiepink ah sorry to hear that! I got myself a big galaxy bar today to feel better about AF and cramps. Chocolate always makes it slightly more bearable 😂
Hmm interesting that it has affected others as well! I think ELW85's suggestion may be worth looking into for you as well, especially to lengthen your LP xx

Was thinking tonight that I'm so thankful to have you ladies to talk about all this with. There's very few people I know that will understand this journey, and as supportive as DH is he won't completely understand the obsession/stress. So thank you all - I've got a lot of love for you and hope we can all share positive news together soon 😊❤️
Sorry, sappy moment over (can you tell it's the first day of AF 😂)!
Have a great night all!

ELW85 · 15/07/2019 22:45

@MrsH497 - ah my dear, try and keep your head up :) your apps had your AF date all over the place so there’s a really big chance it’s just too early to test. Got absolutely everything crossed for you, especially with the cervical positioning too! X

@LokiCat - ah I felt really soppy today, so sending all that love right back to you! It’s a tough journey but I can’t imagine what it would be without this amazing bunch - so thank you ❤️
I hope your Galaxy went down well?
I’ve got to lead a strategy day for my department tomorrow so I’m really pleased I got a chance to work at home today. Tomorrow will be intense but may be what’s needed as a distraction!

I hope everyone has had a lovely Monday :)

Maisy24 · 15/07/2019 22:51

@ELW85 sorry I'm only just catching up with all the messages, I have my fingers and toes crossed that line keeps on getting darker. I think it will do my friend told me her temp went up and down for the first few weeks! Try to relax and not stress ( even though I know it's SO hard)

@LokiCat that is interesting about the pregnacare delaying ovulation as I've been taking the fertility smart tablets this month and my cycle has been so weird and the longest one I've ever had, I'm usually between 28 and 35 but I am on cd39 and think I ovulated on day 32 Sad

I might do the same and just take these vitamins in the lutual phase xxx

ELW85 · 15/07/2019 23:11

Thank you, @Maisy24! It’s great to hear some similar stories :)
I’d definitely recommend just taking any B Vits from Ov.
If the only B vits you’re taking are in conception vitamins, maybe move to a brand with a lower dose?
When I got my bloods done a few weeks ago, the doc recommended not taking any specific vits (like a B complex) outside of a multivitamin unless they diagnose you with a deficiency.
I hope that helps? :)

XjustagirlX · 16/07/2019 06:18

I’m out. My temps were below the cover line this morning. Do it wasn’t implantation it was af. It’s upsetting when I know I can’t do anything more than what I did.

However I’ve realised that my LP is 13 days so a lot longer than I thought it was.

I know people say wait12 months before there may be a biological issue. But how long did you all wait before you either went to the doctors or paid for private fertility checks? I’m asking as my DH as suggested we pay for a check for both of us just in case there is something wrong we would like to know ASAP.

MrsH497 · 16/07/2019 06:33

@XjustagirlX how long have you been trying?

XjustagirlX · 16/07/2019 06:51

@MrsH497 we have only been actively trying for 2 months so I know it’s not long. But our thought process is if there was something wrong I would regret not getting checked sooner. But if we pay for private tests to check things and there was nothing wrong we wouldn’t regret paying. May be we should wait until 3 months?

MrsH497 · 16/07/2019 06:58

@XjustagirlX this will sound harsh but most couples it takes at least 6 months of actively trying. Each month there's only something like a 30% chance of conceiving.

We've been trying since November last year fell pregnant in April miscarried in May.

Give it more time and relax and enjoy it I know it is easier said than done x

ELW85 · 16/07/2019 07:04

Really sorry to hear that, @XjustagirlX.
But @MrsH497 is right, it’s only a 25% chance per month.
I know you start to feel like there might be something wrong, but it sounds like your LP is great and if everything else is regular, I’d just keep going.
My LP wasn’t the longest and the only thing they would test me for was progesterone and CD3 bloods, which was reassuring.

I know it’s easy to say, but I don’t think you’ve got anything to worry about at this stage :)

MrsH497 · 16/07/2019 07:40

@ELW85 how are you this morning? X

Anny27 · 16/07/2019 07:54

@xjustagirlX we are on cycle 2 as well and i know that its perfectly healthy for it to take 6-12 months so i wouldn't worry untill then.

Even though it feels like a lifetime away, it will all seem so quick when we actually do get our BFPs :)

@ELW85 @LokiCat i agree with your soppyness haha. This is such a great support group and helps us from driving DH mad with outlr obsessions and tracking haha

Hope everyone has a lovely Tuesday!
