@Maisy24 I'm gonna day the one thing here that I've always kinda hated hearing cuz it's easier said than done but the one thing we did different this month was we didn't track my fertile window or anything. It was such a relaxed month and everyone tells you relax and enjoy it blah blah blah but it honestly worked. We'd even been out with friends for drinks a couple weeks ago just enjoying the weather so sorry no charts or anything.

As I said in a earlier post I felt very out of breath and kinda unfit this last week or so which is literally the only thing that made me think hmmm whereas other months I've had every "symptom" under the sun and convinced myself I was when I wasn't!

Just remembered one thing I remember posting on here to ask about a week ago I had that pulling sensation behind my belly button never had that before but I guess it was a good sign haha.

This will be cycle 6 for us but we are both quite young (I'm 21 and he is 23) and both have active jobs (dunno if that impacts too much)

So impressed with the luck on this thread recently!!! Good luck to all the other testers let's keep it going 🎉🎉

Mrskcam · 14/07/2019 18:21

@Lozzlepop no he's out so I just text him to say shall we go for dinner tonight (weren't sure what we wanted to do tonight was going to be cinema!) and then gonna get a box of chocolates, but remove the chocolates and when he opens it, ta daaa, test will be there (with the lid on don't worry 😉😉)

Can't imagine it would work the same in the cinema in the dark rummaging through a bag of Maltesers 🤣

Mrskcam · 14/07/2019 18:23

chocolates will be given in the car NOT the restaurant 😂* I'm so excited I can't string my words together properly
*

  • side note : have done a second test, line is darker (think first one might've been lighter cuz I chugged loads of water to make myself pee lol)
Maisy24 · 14/07/2019 18:30

Great thanks for the info @Mrskcam really appreciate it maybe the relaxing about everything really does work, going to try my best to not stress on my next cycle.

@XjustagirlX my temp sometimes doesn't drop until my period has arrived. Sometimes it's the day before and sometimes it's the day of my period.

I use fertility friend and I've had the weirdest cycle and chart this month I've ever had. I'm not even sure when I ovulated, but FF has me at 5dpo today, however I really feel like AF is coming and I had a slight tinge of pink last night but it's gone today. My temp has gone up today but had dropped yesterday, I swear my body is really trying to confuse me this month ConfusedAngry (chart attached)

Anny27 · 14/07/2019 18:33

@Mrskcam what a lovely idea for a surprise, your fiancé is going to be so happy Smile

ELW85 · 14/07/2019 18:55

So I’ve told DH!
Worked out that the due date is the day before his birthday, so put a birthday cake and card in the kitchen with a little message saying something like “thought we should celebrate it early as I’ll probably be in labour and will forget to wish you a happy birthday!” His jaw just dropped. He’s ecstatic :)
@Lozzlepop - worth the wait for him ALL day (he finished work at 5pm!)

@Mrskcam - congratulations!! So happy for you!

@Maisy24 - hmm maybe you geared up to Ov and just Ov later than usual? If your temps keep going like that though, I’d take it as a hugely positive sign!!
Do you use OPKs too? Sorry if you’ve already mentioned. They really helped me this month in narrowing it down as I Ov later than usual.

@XjustagirlX - sorry to hear about the BFN, but you’re not out until AF arrives!

@LokiCat - I hope the BBQ was good?

Mrskcam · 14/07/2019 19:05

@ELW85 that sounds amazing! You'll never forget that moment and his reaction!!

ELW85 · 14/07/2019 19:12

@Mrskcam - it was lovely! I hope your anniversary is fantastic and DP’s reaction too :)

Lozzlepop · 14/07/2019 19:23

@Mrskcam aww that’s a fab way to tell him, he’ll be thrilled 🙂

@ELW85 ahhh how lovely, what a fab way to tell him bet he’s so excited!! what’s your EDD? I should be March 12th if all is well 🤞🏻

Maisy24 · 14/07/2019 19:33

@ELW85 awww that's amazing I bet he was so happy! What a lovely surprise xxx

ELW85 · 14/07/2019 19:51

@Lozzlepop @Maisy24 - thank you! I’m really soppy :) he did love it!

@Lozzlepop - EDD is 21/03, all being well 🤞🏻 How exciting! Are you doing early scans or are you just going with the flow?

Lozzlepop · 14/07/2019 19:57

@ELW85 I think we probably will have another early scan, 12 weeks is just so long to wait! The way it works out our 12 week scan should be the end of August so will try and book one in for week 8/9?! What are you thinking?

MrsEG · 14/07/2019 20:14

@ELW85 Ah sounds lovely :) Congrats again! Re: exercise, my consultant is actually quite against the whole ‘crack on with what you’re used to’ and has asked me to stick to low intensity exercise only for the first tri - she says while it’s all relative to the individual, she prefers women to bring it way down until they get to 12 weeks (so, yoga, walking, swimming). I was quite surprise at how adamant she was about it, to be honest. Saying that I’ve been so shattered even the walking has been tough for me so I’m hardly missing it! Perhaps when you book in with your GP ask them and see what they think but thought I’d mention it. When I told her I was a runner she just started shaking her head like ‘Noo!’

Anny27 · 14/07/2019 20:14

@ELW85 thats such a lovely way to tell him :) :)

ELW85 · 14/07/2019 20:34

@Lozzlepop - I’m thinking an early one too just because I know what I’m like! There are some available at the end of August so I might go for that :)

@MrsEG - oh really?! Did she say why? I was thinking about doing my classes still but really paring them back. I really don’t want to do anything at all to jeopardise this Sad

MrsEG · 14/07/2019 20:41

@ELW85 Yeah, I was really surprised. It’s something to do with how much your blood volume increases in early pg, which in turn puts extra pressure on your heart (hence elevated HR, breathlessness etc) so you’re already at a disadvantage before you even start any exercise, and there’s a risk in the 1st tri in your body temp and HR getting too high. She said as it’s just so hard to personally police those levels, she prefers her patients just take it way way back. In her words ‘It’s only for a few weeks, enjoy the rest’. I thought I’d miss it a lot but like I say I’m knackered and don’t think I could even muster the energy to put on a sports bra. I tried one yoga class and felt so dizzy every time my head was upside down I decided not to bother again!

ELW85 · 14/07/2019 21:00

@MrsEG - thank you so much for that! I think it makes sense to stay active but just on a much lower key level?
I’m meant to be at the gym tomorrow but I’ll just see how it goes.

Imjustme2019 · 14/07/2019 21:13

Congratulations @ELW85 and @Mrskcam wonderful news. Xxx

Larrydavid · 14/07/2019 21:32

@Lozzlepop it's so good - just the break I need at the moment! How are you?

@ELW85 what an adorable way to tell him! So pleased for you.

@Mrskcam amazing news! They look like strong lines to me! Congratulations 🎉

@MLR35 maybe take another test in the morning if you haven't taken one for a couple of days? Are your periods normally light?

LokiCat · 14/07/2019 21:37

@Anny27 that definitely looks like an almost positive! You should have your peak tomorrow, if not the day after. I use Glow to analyse my OPKs, it's pretty good!

@newgirl89 as said by ELW85, OPKs are really useful for knowing when you're about to ovulate so you can really get down to DTD when it matters most.
There's two types - cheap ones which is the type Anny27 posted. The test line needs to be as dark, if not darker than the control line to get your LH surge. There's also the Clear Blue digital ones, which are expensive but I think some people prefer. You have flashing smileys as you're reaching the surge and then static smiley when you reach your peak.
The CB you can use with your fmu. However the cheap tests work better around 1/2pm, but you can't drink for 4 hours (I think) to make sure your urine is concentrated. Also, it's recommended you test twice a day when you're gearing for a positive, so you don't miss the surge in case it's a short one. Sorry for the long waffle, but I hope that somewhat helps!!

@Kiza I use Glow and FF. I loved FF during the free VIP trial, but as you've said it's a bit useless now! I like that it can interpret when I've O'd with everything I input though.

@Mrskcam congratulations!! Your symptoms leading up did sound so positive for pregnancy. I'm so happy for you and what a brilliant anniversary present! I hope you've had a lovely evening celebrating at dinner and can't wait to hear about your fiancé's reaction.

@XjustagirlX I'm sorry about your bfn. 10dpo is still very early, generally most people don't get a bfp till 12dpo. Fingers crossed you're still in!

@Lozzlepop Ah I'm sure it'll be so lovely telling all your friends at the event!
Your day sounded lovely. I love a good chicken roast! Enjoy your lie in tomorrow! I'm not looking forward to an early start, this weekend has gone so quickly!!

@ELW85 awww what a lovely way to tell your DH! I hope you both have had a great evening celebrating! So so happy for you.
I had a lovely BBQ thank you! The sun came out and it was a lovely day spent with my family 😊

Well it seems like this thread has been very lucky the last two weeks! I really hope that luck continues!! So happy for you all 😊❤️
I'm in a great mood for some reason even though I got a bfn (might be denial 😂). Think I'm just thinking if this cycle isn't the one, I'm ready for the next one to start trying again (this may all change when AF shows on Tuesday..)
Anyway, this has been a huge essay - sorry! I hope you all have a brilliant Sunday night!

orangeloo · 14/07/2019 21:51

Hi ladies, I'm back. I. Moved in and the last couple of weeks have been exhausting. Finally feel a bit settled now though. I'm so pleased to see we've had two lucky weeks congrats to all BFP's I have missed. Let's hope this continues to be lucky.

I feel like I'm in with more of a chance now I don't have house stress. I also won't be using OPK's this month as OH is away with work a lot. Will just dtd When he's back and if it happens it happens. Feel liked I've missed this thread and missed out on so much haha. Hope you are all well xx

MLR35 · 14/07/2019 22:19

@Larrydavid thank you so much for replying! No, but not heavy either I'd say. But I've had nothing other than when I wipe, but even that's stopped now, so literally 24 hours. I'll give it a few more days!

Probably should have asked to join the chat before launching into my story, so sorry everyone xxx
