TTC in August Looking for a BFP

Hi,
Thought I'd start a thread for those of us looking for a BFP in August. I'm ttc #2. Have a DS of 3.3. I'm current on CD15 - OD day - with a bit of luck. Have been bd'ing like mad over my fertile days and will continue to do so for a few more days yet. Then it will just be the 2ww. Anyone else in situation?

Oh and, clever-clogs!!

scorpio1 · 06/08/2007 11:46

it would be nice for you two to go out for a meal-esp if you will be pg/have baby soon, it gives less opportunity!

57-28, btw. i wanted you to go ddaaaaaahhhhhhhnnnnnnnn (eastenders stylee)

what are you up to today? im bored-ish. Jamie goes to nursery tomorrow, so me and Reilly may go swimming.

scorpio1 · 06/08/2007 11:47

I am actually quite proud of myself, in a bighead way!

tigerschick · 06/08/2007 11:50

Well, if I've worked it out right (no guarantee there!) I should be ovulating about that time too - lots of meaningful anniversary sex

I'm quite bored today too. Just put dd down for a nap. Got a load of washing to peg out and another load waiting to go in but can't be arsed at the mo. Quite happy just spending a few mins on here.

Dd loves swimming. I try and go about once a week with a friend of mine but she works Mon-Wed and I go to a M&T group on a Friday - so that only leave Thursday as the pools are crammed on the weekends! Hopefully meeting a friend at the park on Wednesday, which will be nice but 2 days away

scorpio1 · 06/08/2007 11:56

Joey and Chandler indeed!

it is hard to fill the days sometimes. im meeting a friend on friday and she is ttc too-a ready made baby buddy hopefully!

what year anniversary is it? would be lovely if you conceived on your anniversary!

i have got tons of washing-almost literally-to deal with after our hol!

tigerschick · 06/08/2007 12:02

It's our 6th anniversary - can't think where the years have gone . Such a cliche but true! Been together 8 1/2 years!

Right, must peg this washing out befor eit starts to smell! Probably be back on later. Take care x

scorpio1 · 06/08/2007 12:12

together 8 1/2 years - wow. i only hope me and dp do that, and many more!my parents have been together 26 years.

tigerschick · 06/08/2007 12:25

The reason I have to go to Doncaster is because that is where XSIL lives with nieces. We are having a portrait of them taken as a present for PIL's 40th anniversary in October! 8 1/2 feels like 10 minutes by comparison!

Before you ask, yes, the washing is on the line and the next load is in [smug housewife emoticon]

How long have you and dp been together? I'm sure you'll last a lot longer than 8 1/2 years

BTW - have you seen my dogs on my profile? I put them on specifically for you

kensgirl · 06/08/2007 12:29

hey everyone!

I've never been in here before, but I thought i would just pop in to say hello, especially to Scorpio .I was wondering where you were as I havn't bumped into you for ages.

I'm terrified of hpt's too ~ in case they are negative...

scorpio1 · 06/08/2007 12:29

ahhh, doggies so cute!

we have been together 4 1/2 years and still going!

i still havent touched my washing, but in my defence, i made lunch and mopped the kitchen floor.must do it soon....

dp atually mowed the lawn yesterday ! he has gone back to work today after having nine days off! says its nice to get back.

scorpio1 · 06/08/2007 12:30

hi, kensgirl! i have been to butlins and not been coming on so much-im too easily sucked in to worrying about ttc-when i know ive done it before, i will again IYSWIM?

how have you been?

tigerschick · 06/08/2007 12:32

Hi kensgirl

Do you find it hard to do 'normal' things when your dp is on holiday? I do. When dh was off for a week with his knee I didn't do any housework, well, hardly any. I found it really hard to get motivated when he was sitting around watching tv or playing with dd. It should have been an opportunity to get loads done while he distracted dd but that was never going to happen

kensgirl · 06/08/2007 12:33

Glad you had a good break, It will happen for you soon. I'm OK, just plodding on with the ttc malarkey , we are off on our hols on wednesday, so I'm busy cleaning and ironing etc before we go.

Am I the only one obsessed with eaving the house spotless before I go anywhere?

scorpio1 · 06/08/2007 12:37

no, i had to leave it spotless too. cant think of anything worse than coming home to mess and dirt. i never do normal things when dp is home-not much housework, no internet, and more eating out .

where are you going?

everything with Reilly (5.2) at the moment is bum and poo. nice. (not by my teaching either, i hasten to add!)

scorpio1 · 06/08/2007 12:39

oh and i just sorted some washing and there was a karmic reason why i should not have done it-the basket just ripped my nail off [ouch]

kensgirl · 06/08/2007 12:47

Awww, he is at a lovely age though!

We're going to the Dominican Republic, and I am nowhere near ready, as I'm lazing around here instead of getting organised [blush, I neeeeeeeed to go and clean the kitchen floor and bathroom, and have a mountain of ironing.

kensgirl · 06/08/2007 12:48

OUCH, by the way

scorpio1 · 06/08/2007 12:51

ohh, sounds lovely!

have a good break!

boozle · 06/08/2007 13:04

Hate to top you tigerschick, but my husband and I have been married 11 years and together for 16. Oooooh, I wish I hadn't written that, I feel ancient. Especially when scorpio's PARENTS have only been together 26 years. And it's not as if I was a child bride either!

Scorpio - yes, I know exactly what you mean about testing. I too am due on Wednesday-ish and am going to try and leave testing to the weekend. If it's going to be a BFN anyway, I would somehow prefer a few more days of living in hope than simply waiting for AF.

scorpio1 · 06/08/2007 13:06

maybe its because im only 22?? mum had me at 24, im the eldest

kensgirl · 06/08/2007 14:11

We had out 1st wedding anniversary yesterday, but have been together for about 9.5 years.

Tigers - I can't do anything when dh is off, he does help, but has the philosophy that you can't work all the time, and so I seem to spend a lot of time where we just sit and relax etc. Not a bad idea really, but then I realise I've stil got housework or paperwork to do...

scorpio1 · 06/08/2007 14:52

oh my god.

BFP

tigerschick · 06/08/2007 14:56
