My line managers and work are really not supportive at all 😡 I've basically been ignored since I got home no one has asked how I am.

FlapJackered · 05/06/2019 16:23

@Larrydavid sorry the end of my last post got cut off for some reason! I meant to say that despite that, she still said it was a lovely special day but a more relaxed vibe and she wanted to have a party where she could get drunk and dance all night. So you could have two parties one wedding then a party to celebrate after! 🎉

FlapJackered · 05/06/2019 16:24

@starkid i know she was so nice! I just hope the nurse is as nice!

MrsEG · 05/06/2019 16:25

@FlapJackered Sounds like a plan! I’m sure the doctor will get ‘creative’ with your measurements ;)

@MrsH497 They may just not know what to say, I found that. People were very nice when I came back, but absolutely no one mentioned it. The MD called me in to her office one day for a chat just to see how I am and she was the only one to do so (and I ended up in tears in her office!!) Please try not to let it annoy you - it’s such a sensitive subject that I just think most people don’t even know what to say.

xELENx · 05/06/2019 16:41

Thank you @LokiCat.

@MrsEG thanks for the tip re Tommy's checklist, I'll def have a look at that x

MrsH497 · 05/06/2019 16:53

@MrsEG I know but policy does state anyone off sick for longer than 7 days should be checked on. New role isn't working out either ahhhhhhhhhhh

On a happy note hubby bought flowers home to cheer me up god I love him

@starkid you get me!

@Larrydavid congratulations.

@MrsH497 that's so frustrating and hard. X

Think my tests are getting nice and faint so I could have a chance at a real BFP soon!

@MrsH497 Don’t let it get you down. They may set up a formal meeting in that case (kinda like my MD did) and will give you a day or two to just get settled again. It’s so hard going back in to work, just try not to let it get you down - enjoy those lovely flowers with your lovely DH tonight and switch off from it!

@ValidUser Great stuff!! How many DPO are you now?

starkid · 05/06/2019 16:59

@ValidUser - I've also done way too much research into my favourite prams, cribs, different ways to feed, nappies, etc etc... it's dreadful really, am sure i'm jinxing myself.
Fingers crossed for you being able to squint at a test and see a genuine line! Grin

@MrsH497- Those are some gorgeous flowers, what a lovely DH you have Smile

purplefig · 05/06/2019 17:06

@MrsH49 unfortunately I think like @MrsEG says, it's such a sensitive area and people don't want to say the wrong thing. What a thoughtful DH you have - those flowers are gorgeous!

@FlapJackered fingers crossed the nurse is nice, but even if not I reckon you could easily 'gain' 2kg with all the things mentioned in this thread!

flossy12 · 05/06/2019 17:08

Cycle #2

Day 2 🙄

purplefig · 05/06/2019 17:25

Brain dump because I can't blather on to anyone else (DH not home yet!): I'm getting the weirdest ache right where my thighs meet the rest of my body. Could well be my new exercise but it keeps coming and going. So strange though.

Marleym28 · 05/06/2019 17:50

@FlapJackered I haven't quite caught up with the thread yet but my friend had a similar thing when she went for her ivf re:weight. She ended up putting tiny weights in her knickers 🤣did the trick though, she now has a 7 yr old!
Lol
Just made me chuckle and thought it would you too

(Will carry on reading the rest of the thread now)

MrsEG · 05/06/2019 18:24

@purplefig I haven’t heard that one before!! Hoping it’s a good sign :) Keeping my fingers crossed for your temps tomorrow morning!!

MrsR16 · 05/06/2019 18:39

@MrsEG thank you my lovely! 😘😘

@Larrydavid congratulations!! I wouldn't have liked to have been pregnant on my wedding day, but that's personal choice!

It's so great to see how you ladies are getting on 😊 c

ValidUser · 05/06/2019 18:50

@MrsEG still just 5dpo. Keeping up the cheap tests until Sunday, then out come the FRERs!

My bum went numb in a meeting earlier and now really hurts. I have decided that this is an early sign of pregnancy. 😂

OP posts:
purplefig · 05/06/2019 19:02

@MrsEG oh haven't you?! Bum aches and thigh/groin numbness are totally symptoms, right @ValidUser ?! 😂

LokiCat · 05/06/2019 19:04

@purplefig yeah I need to build up my stamina!

Haven't heard about the pain you're feeling in relation to TTC - have you tried stretching it out? May help relieve some of the ache.

@FlapJackered sorry I cross posted with yours earlier and missed what you said about your referral! How annoying that they've rejected it. Loving your DH's suggestions 😂 hopefully between the recommendations here and from the receptionist you'll pass and get a referral after your second weigh in! They should really look at it on a case by case basis rather than just going by numbers! Fingers crossed for you!

@starkid the possible ovulation pains sound promising. Hoping this means you get your peak and can start DTD!

@MrsEG that's exactly what I've done - put on a stone since starting TTC and cos of my height it's really noticeable!
Will have you in my thoughts tomorrow, I hope your appointment goes well and she can give you some answers or atleast a plan moving forward. Hope you manage some sleep!

@Larrydavid congratulations!! How exciting!
When we started TTC I was putting things off for 'after we've had our baby', but then realised TTC can be a pretty long journey and we may not get to enjoy things we want. Obviously I hope your journey isn't as long, but I think just plan for when you want and things will fall into place as they're meant to be!

@MrsH497 the flowers from your DH are lovely, how sweet of him!
When I went back after a week off, my manager had a conversation with me but he could tell I was just about holding it together when talking about it so cut it short. He also mentioned he didn't tell anyone as it was my personal business and I could tell them how/when I wanted.
It may be they're giving you some time to get back into things at work.

@ValidUser Haha loving the numb bum symptom! Will keep an eye for that 😂

Did a food shop and went a little crazy on the amount of fruit I bought to fulfil my sweet cravings!! I just hope it works!
Have a lovely evening all!

LokiCat · 05/06/2019 19:05

@purplefig I actually googled 'inner thigh ache at xdpo' and there's quite a few threads! There is clearly some correlation! 😂

MrsEG · 05/06/2019 19:12

@purplefig @ValidUser during the TWW everything is a symptom - I’ve lost count of the things I’ve Googled!! ‘Itchy left nipple early pregnancy’ ‘don’t like broccoli anymore early pregnancy’ - my Google history is insane!

@LokiCat Yep mine is noticeable - actually have a few fave pairs of jeans that barely squeeze on now too! Not for long though I hope!! DH reckons I can safely feasibly lose a stone in 2 months if I stick at it. Although I already miss the Minstrels.
Thank you! A huge mix of nervous, scared, apprehensive, excited right now. I just hope so badly that it’s something small. Not even letting myself think about it being a big issue; power of positive thinking!!

ValidUser · 05/06/2019 19:12

@purplefig definitely!

MrsEG · 05/06/2019 19:24

Oh girls. A girl who was on my team at my old job announced her pregnancy today, she got married in early Feb (!!). Messaged her congrats and just got back: ‘Thanks, such a massive surprise! Felt sick at the petrol station just after we got back from honeymoon. Crazy!!’

TTC First Baby Thread 19
Leodot · 05/06/2019 19:25

@Platsy88 Haha my DH is the same. Trying to hit that ovulation window or the window when I think I might be ovulating can be so hard sometimes. I never realised how difficult it can actually be to get pregnant though until I started trying. I sometimes think maybe DH and I shouldn’t have been so careful in the past 😂

@XElenX Hello and welcome 😊

@Flapjackered Really sorry to hear they turned you down. I echo the suggestions of heavy boots and clothes and a big meal before you go.

@Lokicat @purplefig I started couch to 5k a few weeks ago as I wanted to do more cardio and lose a bit of weight and I quite like it so far. It’s quite manageable and I feel that I finish a session with a sense of achievement instead of feeling defeated; and I hated running previously!

@Larrydavid Congratulations on your engagement!

starkid · 05/06/2019 19:35

@MrsEG - what a kicker that is! 🙈 bloody honeymoon babies... so jealous

So I'm really confused now! I've got sore boobs like I usually get the few days before AF, but as far as I know I haven't even ovulated yet! Still a stark negative test today. My ewcm died down a few days ago too. Still convinced I missed it somehow, despite testing loads and having ovulation-like pains today.
Am CD18 so be a bit early to have pre-af sore boobs anyway even if I did ovulate a few days ago Confused I hate not knowing what's happening with my cycle! Might avoid the B6 now unless my docs tell me to take anything particularly after I get results back from scan... my luteal phase might have been slightly short/spotty but god knows what i've done to myself now 🙈

ValidUser · 05/06/2019 19:36

@FlapJackered that's so stressful. They might want to weigh you with shoes off. Money in your bra? 😂
