Anyone else want to jump on board the July bus? AF has just arrived for me after being 2 days late!

Anyway here's my info:

Age: 37

AF/BFP due: 3rd July

If there's no sign of AF tomorrow I'll try again with FMU. So frustrating!

Oh well. Won't be needing shit now as the woman who I was swapping with has bailed on me 😭
I'm fricking heart broken not to mention pissed off......

@Abi58 no signs of ovulation yet but reading into it it’s normal for it to take up to a 100 days to come back so I’m not panicking yet just impatient 🙈

@mumof1hants oh good, I think I could just be having one of my longer cycles!

Meal out was lovely. I can tell my mindset has changed a bit though, or maybe I’m just getting old. I was ready for bed at about 10.00 and did not drink half as much as I usually would. We went to a bar after the meal and I only had one cocktail there, people were asking me what I was having next (im usually buying two drinks at a time, saves queuing!) but they didn’t bat an eye at my excuse that I was saving money (as our meal wasn’t cheap). Still, if I end up pregnant this cycle it was a good last night drinking out with friends!

4dpo today - feel fine today. Holiday tomorrow! Yay!

@mumof1hants Unfortunately it was very early on. I had only just put my form in and she was apparently taking hers on Monday 🤷‍♀️

@Emma272 I'll be 16/17dpo on Monday 1st so if AF hasn't come I'll be confident that I won't get a false negative at least. How about you? X

This is our first 'proper' cycle of TTC (with OPKs). We had left it up to nature up until now, and had not been actively trying.

My cycles vary in length, but are on average 30 days long. I will not test until CD35. That way, AF will definitely be late. I know I could test a lot sooner, but I actually would not want to know if I had a chemical pregnancy. I would much rather leave it until I have missed AF to start testing.

Otherwise, I could get excited about being pregnant, only to lose it and be upset. For my own mental health, ignorance would be bliss!

No early testing here!

How long does everybody else wait?

@wannabemama0812 that's exactly the same thought I have. I don't want to get too excited. I'm going to be testing at 16/17dpo so there's little chance of a false negative too x

That's very sensible, this is my eighth cycle of trying... I know it's still not really that long, just feels it!
I really don't know now when I'm going to test. Was going to test earlier - my cycles are 26-28 days long. So I'm due AF 3rd July. Decisions, Decisions... 😂 x

I just know myself! I will get in a big tizz about it if I even entertain the idea of testing earlier. I wish I were a sensible, logical, pragmatic person... but in fact, I am a giddy kipper! I know my personality... my mind will run away with me... then the disappointment will be worse.

Negative pregnancy tests really mess with my emotions - I am crushed every time! So I am just going to wait for AF.

I am also going to delete the Mumsnet app from my phone during the TWW. Otherwise, I check constantly and ruminate about TCC. Obsessively. And we all know how great anxiety is for conceiving

I worry we aren't DTD enough as it is! My husband works away, and we only managed to DTD once, on the day after my positive OPK. We all know that all the other sex in the month doesn't count... but it is nice once I know the moment has passed, and sex can go back to being purely recreational

Hopping on. Got a BFN yesterday morning @ 15 days PO, then AF came HARD. Spent most of the night awake and in sooooo much pain. Gutted.
BUT here's to a new cycle & a new chance to conceive baby #1 with any luck we'll all be having April babies eh!
Bought some OPKs so will be using those this month as well as the seven seas ttc vitamins!

@Emma272 @mumof1hants I’m now 7/8 DPO(felt like I ovulated the day I had my positive OPK so that’s why i’m Saying 7/8) I’m due on the 30th but I will not test until 1st or 2nd July 😁 I can’t cope with that negative tests either 🙈

@lonelyonee I’m sorry about AF it’s such a downer when it comes. I find it takes me a day or 2 to get over it then I’m full steam ahead for the month ahead 😁

@wannabemama0812 yep I'd rather see AF than a negative test. Last month I ended up trying about 5 different brands just in case one was wrong! Feels stupid saying that now.

@lonelyonee welcome! Sorry to hear about your crappy AF. Period pains are the worst and they suck even more when TTC. Like a massive kick in the teeth. Definitely fingers crossed for us all!

@Sophieb15 how was the spa?!! Feeling relaxed?
FF decided to change my o day to 2 days earlier based on my recent temps so I'm somewhere between 8-10dpo! V.confusing!!! AF has been brought forward to 27th too but I don't think there's any way she'll arrive that early!

Not silly at all! TTC makes us crazy. My highlight so far is bursting into absolutely hysterical (true ugly sobs with wailing) when DH didn’t feel like DTD on the day of my positive OPK, and was leaving to work away the morning after. Hysterical. You’d have thought somebody had died. Not my proudest moment!!

Turns out he didn’t quite understand the significance of the FW. He thought I could get pregnant at any time of the month. Once he understood, he was very sweet and forgave my temporary deep dive into insanity!

Nothing like a wife wailing about ovulation kits through tears to get a man in the mood!

@wannabemama0812 sorry but that last comment had me laughing out loud! TOTALLY understand though and I'd probably be the same!

@mumof1hants oh massage and relaxation was needed. Had an amazing beef salad for dinner and a glass of wine then went dancing but limited myself to 4 gins and slimline tonic so very fresh this morning! Did you do anything special for the weekend?

Oh it's getting so close now my boobs are achy seem to be getting worse each day so I'm nearly counting myself out because they were really really sore last months and I had shooting pains and still got AF 🙈

@wannabemama0812 my OH was too tired on my O day on my app so I got very angry 😡 with him he thought I was crazy 🤣🤣 we all get a bit stressed around O time trying to get the BD in

Here's my chart... 1st month so I'm a bit clueless. It moved it back today. O day was the 14th originally (which I think is more likely). It's now telling me to test earlier!!! Nothing like helping the willpower 🤣

@mumof1hants I'm not brilliant with charts and temps but I would think it was cd 16 rather than 12? Especially since you didn't have a positive OPK until after CD 12?
