Morning everyone!
My stats: Age 28, cycle 9, CD 16.
Current status: Hating OPKs and willing ovulation to arrive before Friday! (I'm away from DH then until Tues so will miss it unless it's super late).
@LokiCat Oooo Massaman curry and jasmine rice sounds banging!
@Crossfitgirl Helloooo!! I miss your essays! How're you doing?! Crazy that they've said you can only do light yoga - I thought the rule was you can carry on with whatever you've been doing so long as it feels good?
@ELW85 How was the gym? I did another lifting session this morning and feel AMAZING. Good grief I never thought I'd love exercise.
@Dollywilde Yeah it's absolutely rank isn't it?! It always seems to help though.
@Jessikka You savour that caffeine girl!
@MrsEG thanks for the tip on the vitamins. I do wonder, why on earth is this info not made more blisteringly obvious?!
For anyone else on pregnacare conception, it looks like it does contain Vitamin D, B12 and Zinc but not Omega 3.
Good overview on Omega 3 here: ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/Omega3FattyAcids-Consumer/ . There are 3 types: " ALA is found mainly in plant oils such as flaxseed, soybean, and canola oils. DHA and EPA are found in fish and other seafood" - so if you don't eat seafood it looks like you need to cover the DHA + EPA basis. I'm going to get something like this: www.amazon.co.uk/Opti3-Omega-3-Vegan-Omega-Supplement/dp/B0055R0BN4?tag=mumsnetforu03-21
And on the note of Weird Shit They Don't Tell You About Getting Pregnant: I stumbled upon this the other day: www.tomakeamommy.com/peas-fertility-can-peas-and-pea-protein-cause-infertility/ - apparently they did a load of tests back in the 50s to see if peas could be use as a contraception. They stopped in the end as they found it was only 60% effective. 60%!!!!!! I haven't had time to dig into the original research, but as someone who uses pea protein smoothies every day - I'll be swapping to something else.
