oooo have a great holiday. I've heard a lot that trying to conceive when your on a break is really good because your body is more relaxed so fingers crossed for you xx

@Meenabeena we are really just wanting to go away and chill and be "us" for a week but if it coincides with Ovulation that would be great 😉

@ValidUser I cant see anything yet but how many DPO did you say you were? I got my BFP at 12DPO but it was quite faint so don't give up!

@ValidUser I can maybe see a flicker on the dark one but can't be sure. Where do you get all these tests from 🙈😂 maybe hold off a couple of days and see? Good luck!

@purplefig I know! I didn't realise that was an issue?! Seemed to be back to my 11/12 days now tho as af was late. Going to try and read up on it a bit more! I had such a dip and a rise at 10dpo too it looked just like implantation which is so odd.... confusing! Is it maybe it was implantation but it was too late and with having a short luteal it was wasn't long enough? Or am I thinking too much 🙈🤣

@MrsEG thank you! Gosh I didn't realise you hadn't got to the date of af arriving until today! Seems ages ago you tested 😂 it must be due to the posts moving so quick I suppose ha!

@orangeloo yes, I will do! My husband is going too, because she suspects stress may be our issue. We're both pretty healthy otherwise, but there has been some big Life Stuff going on in the last year or so.

@Lozzlepop Oh Majorca sounds lovely! How long are you off for?

@ValidUser I can't see anything, but I'm notoriously awful at line spotting! 10dpo is still pretty early though.

@Lottiepink Yeah it's all so confusing, agreed. If you find anything else from your research please do report back [GRIN]. I think my LP is about 11 days, which is a bit on the short side.

@purplefig and my left tube probably needs another unblocking. Hopefully next week!

I'm wondering how long it's meant to take to receive a letter with the date for my ovary scan? My doc appointment where she requested it was not last Friday but the one before. I haven't got a clue how long these things take to organise (and can imagine the date itself being months and months away!) so don't know if it's normal to wait like a month before you get it? Or if I should have got it by now?

DH is booked in with GP soon to discuss his fertility then subsequently do a sample, so at least that's moving along well.
I'm just impatient to be doing something I guess! Control freak

@ValidUser - do you go private for your tube unblocking?
Am hoping we get a clearer line for you by maybe Wednesday

@starkid I think you have every right to be impatient tbh, can't believe you've had to wait a year!!

@starkid private. In Ireland. Being a doctor helps in terms of knowing where to go too.

@ValidUser I'm totally with you on the wanting to be pregnant front, it can be such a frustrating journey. What cycle are you on?

@Lozzlepop oh no a week is perfect for soaking up some sun and properly chilling out. Very, very envious! We're actually thinking of planning a big trip for next year, if I'm not pregnant soon. My thinking is it'll be a great distraction and it's something we couldn't do if we had kids.

I'm symptom spotting already.. I'm 4dpo, just went to the toilet as I felt some 'wetness' and my CM is milky, almost lotion like.. any ideas? I know I should just be patient and wait but AF isn't due till next Sunday and it's so far 😩

I don’t blame you for symptom spotting - to be fair the CM you’ve described is positive, I think so I’ll keep everything crossed for you 😊

@purplefig probably 10th or 11th in all, but had a 2 cycle break in the middle and surgery 2 cycles ago for my dodgy right tube!

@ValidUser ahh yes, of course. I'm on cycle 9 and never for one minute thought it would take this long. I was very naive looking back!!!

@LokiCat Personally I find post ovulation CM to be a pretty unreliable indicator of anything for me. I've had months where I'm completely dry, months where I've had jelly like CM and last month I was super wet(TMI ) right up until AF. Bizarre.

Just found this group & thread & wanted to introduce myself & wish everyone luck!

I’m 35, OH 42 & this is a first for both of us.
I’m not great with the lingo yet so bear with me! 😂
We’ve been TTC since coming off the pill in sept 2018, I had a missed MC at the end of Feb - we thought we were 11 weeks but the pregnancy had failed at 6weeks according to the scan.

My cycle has been all over the shop since, initially a 28 day cycle & AF for 4 day’s, I’m now up to day 45, I had limited ovulation signs at day 38 (when OH was away with work so we couldn’t even try) and I’m feeling a little hopeless.

I know patience and calm are key but I’m neither lately!

It’s so reassuring to see that there’s so many of us doing the same things, hopefully we’ll all get lucky soon!!

@Tashdreams Welcome! Sorry to hear about your miscarriage, that must have been so crushing. And the 45 day cycle probably isn't doing anything to help! Unfortunately it can just take a while for our bodies to get back to normal, but I know patience is incredibly difficult. Join in with the madness here, it makes the waiting much more bearable

@purplefig @lottiepink yes I had a short LP, mine varied between 9 and 11 days but mostly 9, they do say its meant to be consistent but I guess it also depends on how accurately you can pinpoint ov. It can be a day or two out can't it? Anyways, I'm now 27 weeks so it's definitely possible. It was my massive worry when ttc but has proved to not matter, so who knows! I googled LOADS on short LPs and found lots of MN threads where people with short ones conceived so much less worried for next time now. Thanks for tagging me in the thread anyway, having a little nosy and so pleased to see @mrsEG and @daydreamer1707 have their BFPs!! Congratulations ladies!
@validuser ah hold out a couple more days, my 11dpo FRER was stark BFN before the faint line came at 12dpo. You have time!
