This is me...

@flossy12 I've been on the pill for 5+ years. I was first put on the pill to regulate my cycle so I'm venturing into the unknown again! I'm the same just have to wait and see

lori2019 · 07/05/2019 15:12

@NLouise123 @flossy12 are you planning on using OPK's to pin point your ovulation dates?

NLouise123 · 07/05/2019 15:15

@lori2019 I wasn't going to for my first month, but now I'm thinking I should just to see if I actually do ovulate?

flossy12 · 07/05/2019 15:34

We just letting things flow for the first couple of months and if nothing happens then we will actively TTC with ovulation testing etc

SweetChillis · 07/05/2019 18:22

Has anyone used OPK's? I didn't the first month as I was freshly off the pill but AF turned up exactly when I thought it would (29 days). Had ovulation type cramps on CD11 (for 3 days) and again on CD19 (for 2 days). CD15 was when I should have peaked according to my app so its a bit strange. Thought I might test this month as a bit of a scientific experiment!!!!

When's best to test? I'm sure I read someone said twice a day? I'm intrigued to know what my body is doing post pill, it's been a long time! Smile

Navy123 · 07/05/2019 19:29

@SweetChillis I used OPKs when we were trying for my DS - just the cheapie ones from amazon. I read that early afternoon was best for testing so I did one around 2pm each day (or held it if I was at work - pre DS I was a teacher so had an iron bladder!!) and I would see a peak each month. Definitely useful to find out when you will ov - apps don't always get it right and ovia would have had me miss my most fertile days without it.

Chh87 · 07/05/2019 19:36

@NLouise123 I came off the pill in January and my last two cycles have been 32 days then 25 days. I use the OPK to work out when I have ovulated - day 16 previous cycles then day 12 last cycle. I was worried it would take a while for my cycle to settle down but it hasn’t taken too long. Good luck Smile

NLouise123 · 07/05/2019 19:42

@Chh87 I may but some OPK's just to see when and if I OV. Hopefully mine settles. Good luck to you too 🙂

SweetChillis · 07/05/2019 19:45

@Navy123 thank you, that's good know. I've ordered cheap ones off Amazon, just waiting for them to turn up.

This whole "let's just relax and see what happens" is going really well for me. I'm already obsessed! Grin

Hi ladies,

Am glad to get back to TTC after 3 mc last year. Have now been through RMC and am getting back on the bus with a bag full of drugs to help

Age 38
TTC #1
Cycle 1 (since last loss)
CD - next cycle due to start 18th May
AF due about 15th June

Sorry am a little premature joining but excited to be looking forward and back on the bus. Babydust to us all x

Navy123 · 07/05/2019 19:57

@SweetChillis yeah we were going to see what happens too - turns out my brain does not work that way!

tisonlymeagain · 08/05/2019 09:58

Argh waiting to ovulate is worse than the 2WW, it seems to take forever. Going to start the OPK testing for this month tomorrow. Back to peeing on my hand GrinWink

@tisonlymeagain I'm only 3 day into AF and I'm already wishing it was OV time!! I've likely got a 2 1/2 week wait! Hmm

tisonlymeagain · 08/05/2019 10:54

@NLouise123 about 9 days for me if everything on track.

flossy12 · 08/05/2019 12:42

AF has finally gone!! Can't believe she only lasted 7 days! I was getting myself ready for the tsunami 😂 👏🏼 (tmi) I know 😆

@SweetChillis Trying to just keep it calm this month due to being an over thinker myself as well! Won't be tracking for the first couple months if I can help myself don't want to make this into a regime

Hopefully we all get plenty of baby dust next month!

Chanel05 · 08/05/2019 14:25

My bleeding from mmc surgery seems to now have stopped, meaning I may be preparing for ovulation but that could still be weeks away!

Rosetinted47 · 08/05/2019 17:50

Tentatively hopping on (after the day I've had questioning if this is the best idea 😂).

TTC: 3
Age: 30
Cycle: 1
AF due: 29th May (sneaking onto this Bus as the May one is in full flow, hope you don't mind!)

Good luck guys. For reasons I'll only be trying for 2 cycles this year so fingers crossed for us all.

PaintingOwls · 08/05/2019 17:59

For reasons I'll only be trying for 2 cycles this year

Ooh how very mysterious, Rosetinted47!

SweetChillis · 08/05/2019 18:32

@flossy12 It was my plan to remain calm and see how things go but my AF's have been so light since coming off the pill I'm now questioning if I'm ovulating at all.... so for my own peace of mind I thought I'd test this month.

I'm also now mentally preparing myself to pee on my hand daily 😂

Hopefully plenty of baby dust for everyone this month!

SuziQ10 · 08/05/2019 18:45

TTC: 2
Age: 29
Cycle: 11

Looking for hope! For next month.

mumof1hants · 08/05/2019 19:34

Hi everyone,

Can I join please? This is all new to me and I feel I may need some help/support.

TTC: 2
Age: 37
Cycle: 2
CD: 5
AF/BPF Due: 2nd June

So we decided to start trying for no.2 last month (no.1 was an extremely happy surprise) and AF came a week early! This has never happened in my life and totally threw me. Means we probably didn't DTD at the right time at all.
I feel totally amazed by how many strong women there are on here. Hopefully we can all help each other through the ups & downs x

Rosetinted47 · 08/05/2019 19:55

@paintingowls - boring reasons i'm afraid- financial/timings. Baby needs to be born before March 31st 2020 to qualify for the 3 year nursery hours for the summer term. If i'm not pregnant i'll leave it another year, and start trying again in April 2020.

My first was a September baby and it has been stressful with thousands in extra nursery fees, and her being stressed and bored not being at school. Hoping to avoid that again!

tisonlymeagain · 08/05/2019 22:08

Good luck to everyone ladies.
Hoping for a bumper crop of BFPs in June. Smile

Not so sure about myself now. DP has inflammation down below Confused and is not on antibiotics so that's going to muck things up and will also potentially cause low sperm count/affect motility in a month or two. Trying to be zen but we fell out about it today when he told me I was getting too stressed and I was overthinking stuff. Hmm

OP posts:
flossy12 · 08/05/2019 22:11

@tisonlymeagain oh no! Hopefully it clears up quickly 😩

We DTD today, just to get the ball rolling and check everything still works 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ hoping my nerves don't mess my cycle around too much

Anyone else get TTC jitters?

GingerRogers84 · 09/05/2019 12:23
