All aboard...kickstarting the June bus as trying to remain positive now AF has just arrived.

This is me...

TTC: 3
Age: 39
Cycle: 2
CD: 1
AF/BFP due: 1st June

Going for number 3, but first with DP. Bit worried about my age and just coming off the pill but cycles seem pretty normal. Doing OPKs and night start temping.

Need a bit of advice... I'm seeing two of my friends tomorrow who are about 6 months pregnant and it's made me feel a bit emotional today. The last time I saw them they were 2 months, not yet showing and I had only just come off the pill but this time it feels quite different now that they'll be showing and I've been TTC with no BFP yet (they also don't know that we're TTC and don't want to tell them). Also they both got pregnant first cycle so I don't think they'd get it. Really happy for them both and I feel bad that I feel like this but I have been close to cancelling a few times today! Hoping that I'm making it worse in my head and it'll be fine when I see them - although a bit scared I may cry!! Anyone been in a similar situation?

It may well be better in person but if you want to cancel then do so. Don't make yourself anxious over it

@MeganMama28 I'd agree with @chanderl. Don't feel bad if you cancel, it's perfectly normal to feel like that. It may well be ok but it could be quite difficult too x

I posted on Saturday at CD62 saying how down I felt at this long cycle, but feeling good now as at CD66 (!!) have ewcm and a positive OPK! Hopefully my temps will show ovulation over next few days. Just thankful to see some sort of cycle change at this stage Grin

@MeganMama28 that sounds hard, if they're good friends I'd be tempted to go as I'd worry it would get awkward further down the line etc if you stop seeing them, if you want to remain friends. That said, cancelling a one-off meet up wouldn't be the end of the world and you need to do what's best for you :)

AF is officially gone! (Woohoo) so now the trying well and truly begins. Showing on app as ovulating in 6 days but as I'm not temping or testing to cover all bases dtd starts every other day from today... maybe we shall see how we get on haha! Anyone else about to get to it? Smile

@MeganMama28 that's awful I really feel for you, one of my close friends has 3 kids and caught the first two by accident and the third was pretty much first couple months I think 🤷🏼‍♀️

Don't feel bad if you don't go, it could be good to talk to them about it, at least then they know to be abit more sensitive about things? Depends on your friendship I suppose xx

Me and OH have just took advantage of no AF and DTD but straight after I had awful cramping and had to run to the toilet to be sick because of the pain nearly rang 111 no idea what that was about 😑 a 10 minute sit down and I was fine ... weird

@meganmama28 I know what you mean I have friends who managed to get pregnant when they weren’t trying or within 2 months. They just keep saying oh you need to have sex around the time of ovulation and I’m just sat thinking yeah I have been!!! They don’t understand why I’m not pregnant yet and one of them is due in a month. Slightly afraid I’ll cry when I go to see her newborn when it arrives if I’m not pregnant by then 😬 if you’re feeling particularly emotional about it on the day could you cancel last minute?

Got a pale line on an OPK this afternoon (no line at all in previous tests). Ava seems to think I will ovulate in about 5 days. Does a faint line mean ov is on its way but won't be far away? Am I right in thinking that it should keep getting darker until Im just about to ovulate? Sorry for the dense question this is all still new to me 😂

@chanderl @mumof1hants @lewk @flossy12 @Savvysaz thank you so much for your advice, I was feeling like ^^such a bad person and friend yesterday but you have all made me realise its a normal feeling to have. At the moment I'm leaning towards cancelling today and seeing them individually but will see how I feel later on today.

@Savvysaz that's so frustrating - that's exactly what my friends were saying and I was just thinking erghhhh if only you knew you are the lucky ones that get a BFP by just having sex when you get a smiley on a CB OPK for the first time!

@flossy12 hope you're felling better now! How many DPO are you?

Hi @Ohana6419 I get faint lines throughout my entire cycle. You should get a positive just before you ovulate, 12-36 hours I think. I am quickly learning that everyone is different though so I couldn't say whether yours will gradually increase or not. Keep testing and you'll find your pattern! Good luck!

@MeganMama28 will be 16 dpo according to flow 🤷🏼‍♀️ no symptoms at all thought think AF might just be late

@flossy12 not that I should be promoting my POAS addiction hahaa but is it worth doing another test? My sister didn't get her BFP until 15dpo and it was really faint even then

@flossy12 have you taken a pregnancy test? You’re so good if you haven’t! I find it SO hard to not test early 😂

@MeganMama28 I did one 14dpo and it was negative but I suppose It might be worth testing on Sunday morning as that will be my first proper nights sleep on the Saturday and then don't feel like I'm wasting a FRER I only have one left then it's IC only 😂

@Flowers88 I know it's so annoying though I want to test but then I'm working 2 night shifts now so FMU is hard to pin point and OH is never home when I wake up 😂

@flossy12 you can recreate the FMU by not going to the toilet for at least four hours (however I'd find this a bit tricky as my bladder is quite weak!) but if you can maybe give that a go if you wanted to test again before sunday?
