So I’m trying to conceive and have been since November. I sadly miscarried in Feb and had my first cycle last month. I’ve just ovulated or so I think...got a positive result on saturday and have been busy dtd quite a bit. I guess I’m 1dpo maybe 2. Fingers crossed this is our month. How is everyone else getting on?

Sorry I didn't see this yeah I'm going to test tomorrow just in case though I'm certain its just broke lol according to my app which never works. Ik 22 dpo though I'm certain I didn't ovulate as no temp rise, also I've still had no period but I'm not consistent. I have had periods light and have lasting from 2-7 days every month last 6 months before that I missed a month it's all very complicated lol. I just have to keep going keep bonking and fingers crossed lol xx

Sorry that was in reply to rudyoo

I think I'll try it next month we eont be trying after June for 10 months as we have booked to get married but due to circumstances I didn't want to put having a baby off for a second longer it just became so important and I didn't care about the wedding but we said if we don't conceive by June we have to put it on hold and try right after the wedding. I have to say I'm disappointed but what will be will be! I'll give it a good go noe till June and well see good luck to everyone else too I'll be checking in it's so nice to have people to talk to in the same situations, even if it is a shitty situation x

Claire78564 · 11/04/2019 20:22

I know what you Mean @19CLT92 it is a shitty feeling when others seem to have it so easy. Congrats on the wedding :) I say go with the flow! As for your cycles, there’s lots of things doctors can do to sort them out and help regulate stuff. I know someone who has PCOS (not that you have it just using as an example) and her cycles were all over the place yet she managed to get them under control with medications and certain dietary requirements. I have to admit it’s nice to have people to talk to. Doesn’t feel the same talking to people who don’t seem to have probs. I mean granted I know in the grand scheme of things it’s only been 6 month for me and only 4 cycles I could try against due to two being taken up by other things... it still feels shit when you want it so badly. We will get there! Keep me updated on how you get on at the docs! X

These are my temps so far - not sure what to think! I'm going to persevere and see what happens...

RudyRoo · 11/04/2019 21:31

@Claire78564 that's great that you managed to have a scan and that everything look well. That must give you hope and it will be a cast of 'when' rather than 'if'.
@19CLT92 congratulations on your wedding. You're still young so you have time on your side! I got married last year too and felt I put all the baby stuff on hold for that. But I am 33! My only regret is that I had come off the pill a year earlier and just used condoms. Had no idea it would take this long for my cycles to become regular again! I really do think the doctors should make people more aware of this when they are handing out the pills! 🙄

RudyRoo · 11/04/2019 21:35

@19CLT92 also I'm the same, no regular period so no idea WTF is going on. I'm jealous of people with regular and normal cycles, least then you can make sense of what's going on!

Claire78564 · 11/04/2019 21:36

Thanks 😊 it did help a little I just worry I will mc again. I just have to keep in mind at the hospital they told me it was more likely a prob with the embryo rather than me. I know what you Mean with coming off the pill. It’s weird but when I came off it I suddenly felt lighter like I could feel things more? Sounds silly lol but I won’t be going back on it. I know you wish you had tried earlier but at least you don’t have any of the pill left in your system. 33 is still on the better side for conceiving! You have plenty of time too so don’t give up. 🥂 here’s to our cycles and possibilities of getting preg. Friend of mine was under a fertility specialist and she was told by the doctor constantly that she should be optimistic as pregnancy is more likely than you believe when you have the parts. Will be okay.

Bye let us know how you get on with the temping and if you can make much understanding of it! I’m very confused by it tbh. Do you have to do it same time everyday? And what happens at the point of ovulation? I read somewhere it can show you implantation but don’t know how much rubbish or fact x

OP posts:
RudyRoo · 11/04/2019 21:44

@Claire78564 well that's totally understandable considering what you've been through. You'll probably always be nervous about that happening again but obviously something just wasn't quite right and don't let these fears stop you from being confident and happy about going forward and having a healthy pregnancy.
Yes you are totally right I feel like I can feel things more too, odd twinges and things, but did wonder if it's just because I'm thinking about it so much! Weird how much your mind can affect these things. I totally agree - positive thinking does the world of good. It's also great to have discovered this site with so many people going through the same thing and feeling like I'm not alone. We've got this 💪🏼

RudyRoo · 11/04/2019 21:47

For the temping, yeah I just do it when I wake up everyday, before moving too much or going to the toilet etc. (Recommended from other posts I've read) it's supposed to rise quite sustantially when you actually ovulate so although you can't predict it you can look back on it to see if it has happended, if that makes sense. So alongside OPK's should be able to pinpoint it. Well that's the theory anyway but you'll probably be able to find other people who explain it better than me!

Claire78564 · 11/04/2019 22:00

Yeah I think will always feel this way hopefully the next one will go the way it should! I feel like we all need to listen to nothings gonna stop us now by starship lol or what ever It’s called we need some inspirational music haha. Ah I see what you mean will give it ago next month as I can’t see us catching this month. Very annoying when we have done it more times that I can count lol. Would be good to know it actually happened. OPKs are good in the sense that they tell you you’re about to ovulate but they don’t say ‘you have ovulated’ plus you can’t be sure when you have either. My OPKs were positive for two days my guess is I ov’d on the Sunday night or Monday. Just can’t imagine sperm actually being where it should be haha. Good to talk on here tho. I should imagine the more you temp the better you will be at seeing the key points in your cycle.

So i guess i can still temp even though im not having a period, can still see if i have a spike i suppose ! Ahh thanks girls its nice to have someone to speak too. I havent told anybody except my mum about my situation so its just good to have you guys x we're all on this journey together and i cant wait too see some bfps for us all, because it will happen! Xx

Claire78564 · 11/04/2019 22:15

Yeah it’s nice to chat it out! Keep temping it can’t hurt to do this and like you said when ovulation occurs (when because you have the parts and it will happen) you can know exactly what’s going on with your body. All the best for you spoon 😊 x

Come on you sperm...swim swim swim!!

daisydo123 · 11/04/2019 23:27

Hey guys hoping you don't mind the butt in , me and my partner are wanting to TTC around June time, but I have been on the mini pill cerazette for a year now and had a mirena cool for 4 years before that and getting worried with all these posts of people struggling to conceive

Also good friend of mine took 6 months for them to get a BFP after she stopped the pill, just wondering what pill you guys were on?? No idea wether to stop it earlier than planned or not as I run out at the end of April anyway x

Claire78564 · 12/04/2019 00:15

Hi :) I wouldn’t worry so much about that. Everyone is different. I was on mycrogynon. I’ve had friends on the pillnyou mentioned and their periods came back straight away. My cycles came back straight away yet others I know on same pill took months. I wouldn’t base what has happened to others on what will happen to you. I guess you could always come off and if you not ready to start TTC then use condoms. I wouldn’t worry about that bit at all x

daisydo123 · 12/04/2019 01:23

Periods have been all over the place while on this pill like some cycles reaching 56 days! 😱 just hoping it will all normalise witching a couple weeks of stopping x

daisydo123 · 12/04/2019 01:32

Within*

Claire78564 · 12/04/2019 06:18

I’m sure it will. Sometimes just letting things be natural is the best route. Can I just say men have I so easy! They have none of this. If I were you I would just come it and see how things go x

OP posts:
Beddie11 · 12/04/2019 07:38

@daisydo123 i agree with claire, if i were you id come off it now and use alternative methods just so your cycle can sort itself out. I wish id done that xx

RudyRoo · 12/04/2019 07:47

I agree with both. Wish I'd come off sooner! But so hard to know as everyone is different.

daisydo123 · 12/04/2019 08:30

Might just finish the pill at end of April then and he can wrap it up for a month 😂👏🏼

Claire78564 · 12/04/2019 10:34

Yeah you have the options. As for me today I have breast tenderness more so in the left than right. Nipples feel slightly sensitive altho I think it’s all in my head. I know I had similar symptoms last month so not holding much hope. TMI but things are also a bit loose haha if you get my drift meh :(

RudyRoo · 12/04/2019 10:39

@Claire78564 oh well that sounds like things are going in the right direction! I'm constantly feeling my boobs too to see if they feel different 😂
