Feeling pregnant but no bfp yet

Hi ladies,
I've been pregnant before and feeling similar symptoms but AF not due for a few more days. I have tested a few times with different tests, all came back negative. AF is due in 5 days so I tried a clearblue digital but came back negative. I know it might still be early or I might just be imagining my symptoms. Anyone have a similar experience? Did you end up being pregnant or not?

@Katy85 looks like my AF is all screwed up too now😒 @Pop1234 @Louise392 I just took a test and it's BFN 😞 AF is so cruel. Still hasn't started properly 😑

@Mum637k well that's rubbish, why is it so damn hard when it's all you want!! If you're planning on getting any ovulation tests to help over the next month then Superdrug have the clear blue ones for way cheaper than boots, for me it'll be interesting to see how off I am trying to predict by myself versus what the tests say

Mum637k · 25/02/2019 18:12

@Katy85 i know 😭 I used cheapies I ordered from amazon, they did turn positive so hopefully those are correct. Sad thing is first time around I didn't necessarily want to get pregnant immediately, I just thought okay we can start trying now. Bam, first cycle we got pregnant. Sadly that was a mc. Now after the mc I want to get pregnant really bad and of course now it's not so easy 😒

@mum637k Flowers there is still hope while you have no af.
What tests have you been using to test for bfp?

Katy85 · 25/02/2019 19:36

@Mum637k mother nature is a cruel bitch sometimes. I can't imagine your heartache, but I am sending you hugs x
We weren't really trying for our first child 5years ago, I came off the pill and I think it was 4th cycle we got lucky without putting much effort into, I certainly wasn't tracking like I am now, although I had no clue until I was over 5weeks pregnant, text book pregnancy from then on, no issues whatsoever but it almost went horribly wrong right at the end when I went into labour. He was in distress with the cord round his neck, he came out not breathing, had to be resuscitated and was taken straight to nicu, I couldn't hold him for over 24hrs, and he stayed there for over a week. I lost a lot of blood and had to stay in a couple of nights. It's the main reason we've left it so long to try for second one, It was so traumatizing, I've had a lot of therapy for post natal ptsd, but I feel ready now

Mum637k · 25/02/2019 22:06

@Louise392 I guess there is, I will definitely keep you updated 😄 I've been using FRER to test :/

Mum637k · 25/02/2019 22:08

@Katy85 I'm so sorry you had to go through that trauma...I am very glad it all turned out okay and you have a healthy child now ☺️ I can understand waiting to try for another one, I am sure I would do the same! I have fingers crossed for you🤞🏻

Good morning everyone! Just wanted to update you all, unfortunately AF is well on her way now with a decent amount of bleeding. Onto theMarch bus we go! 😄 Except @Louise392 who can enjoy pregnancy now❤️ @Pop1234 @Katy85 We can start tracking in a few days again 😆

@Mum637k so sorry! That really sucks! I started with my ovulation tests this morning, no hormones detected yet. I tried explaining how it all works to my fiance, his response was simply "just tell me what I need to do and when" Grin.
March will be our month ladies!

Mum637k · 26/02/2019 09:20

@Katy85 😂 you couldn't ask for more! Love it. Fingers crossed for us for March!!

Pop1234 · 26/02/2019 09:37

@Mum637k sorry about AF. It sucks although mine has nearly finished!!

@Katy85 what CD are you?

I'm wondering if I shouldn't try this month. As with the recurrent miscarriage clinic I can have a full clotting blood test at the end of March as it will be 12 weeks since my last miscarriage if I wait. Not sure what to do really!! Although if I don't get a BFP I can have it so might just take the risk.

Mum637k · 26/02/2019 09:42

@Pop1234 @Katy85 @Louise392 I'm unsure how to count cycle days now. I've been cramping since the 22nd, had 1 spot of brown on the 24th, another the 25th, and actual blood flow today. What do you reckon is cd1?

OP posts:
Pop1234 · 26/02/2019 10:03

@Mum637k I always count the first full blood flow as day one. Could be wrong though but that's what I do.

Katy85 · 26/02/2019 10:09

I had that light spotting last Sunday and then it got heavier on the Monday, so I'm assuming I'm on CD 9 now. I'm also using the Glow app and it's saying I've just entered into the beginning of the fertile window with ovulation this coming Sunday, but I'll just keep taking the tests each morning til it says High, and then you can take more than one a day til it says Peak and then that's your best 24hrs chance

Louise392 · 26/02/2019 11:28

@mum637k I do it from the first day of heavier flow too. Sorry to hear it has come full flow now :(

moleeye · 26/02/2019 11:46

I was 6 days late before I finally got my BFP. Had terrible period pains, BFN's and all the AF symptoms up until then.

Currently 36 weeks pregnant.

Good luck to you all x

Katy85 · 02/03/2019 14:37

Hey ladies, hope you're all ok. Finally got my LH surge somewhere between testing this morning and 2pm, let's hope third cycle is a charm this time!

Feeling pregnant but no bfp yet
Mum637k · 04/03/2019 21:24

@Katy85 fingers crossed for you!!☺️☺️ This last cycle was terrible for me, I had a really hard time with ups and down and generally going mad testing every day 🙈 going try to not test this time unless I have a reason to. Letting go of the madness and seeking peace now 😄

Mum637k · 07/03/2019 07:04

Good morning ladies! @Katy85 @Pop1234 have you had positive ovulation test for 24 hours before? I got a strong positive yesterday morning, both lines same darkness and a strong positive this morning too. Seems like previously it would go to negative within 12 hrs maybe. Is this normal for it to still be positive or am i struggling with releasing the egg?🙈

OP posts:
Katy85 · 07/03/2019 07:41

@Mum637k did you feel anything happening? I got my LH surge somewhere between 7am and 2pm that day, and later that evening I got really sharp pains in my right lower abdomen, about two inches from my hip. I think I'd got the LH surge and ovulated the same day within 12hours, I read that can happen with women over 30 sometimes

Mum637k · 07/03/2019 08:13

@Katy85 not sure if ive felt anything, I've been very busy this time around and deliberately not thinking about anything ttc related 😆 I did however check this morning's test and the test line got much darker than the control so maybe all is good afterall and just took some time 😄 we shall see

OP posts:
Katy85 · 07/03/2019 08:17

@Mum637k better get busy then! Wink

Pop1234 · 07/03/2019 09:08

@Mum637k I've had a surge like that before. And this cycle I think I missed it 🙄😂 I was trying not to get obsessed and on Tuesday evening I got a very almost positive then yesterday it was completely blank. But I had ovulation pain all day yesterday so think I ovulated yesterday!

I think the almost positive was the surge and if I'd have tested that morning it would have been a definite positive.

Katy85 · 07/03/2019 10:03

@Pop1234 @Mum637k the difficulty in ttc is that all the information we have to look at around ovulation etc is based on the text book cycles etc. We know the reality, cycles get messed up, LH surge is unpredictable for when it comes and for how long, and then the issue of we never know for sure when ovulation occurs once we detect that LH, text book says 24-36 hrs, but I had that pain where my ovaries sit the same day, so around 12hrs. Do I know for sure I ovulated? Nope! But I'll cross my fingers that I got it right, counting myself as 5DPO today, might take a cheeky test at 10dpo

Mum637k · 07/03/2019 10:36

@Katy85 @Pop1234 it sure is hard you're right! We just never really KNOW anything until we see a heartbeat on an ultrasound 😂 Fingers crossed ladies!!
