Hi ladies,
I've been pregnant before and feeling similar symptoms but AF not due for a few more days. I have tested a few times with different tests, all came back negative. AF is due in 5 days so I tried a clearblue digital but came back negative. I know it might still be early or I might just be imagining my symptoms. Anyone have a similar experience? Did you end up being pregnant or not?

@Pop1234 @Mum637k I've resorted to the hairband trick already to give you an extra flexible inch on your jeans. I think I recall it all easing towards the second trimester, swiftly followed by multiple leg cramps in the middle of the night and nose-bleeds! My colleague is just heading into her 5th month and is just starting with these next phase of symptoms.

Mum637k · 30/04/2019 20:31

@Pop1234 @Katy85 oh yes the hairband trick is pretty useful! Have been wearing my one pair of jeans that I sized up for 😆 today I got the first wave of fatigue and man was it brutal 😳 napped from 5-7.

@Mum637k @Katy85 well my bloat isn't as bad today but I feel sooo uncomfortable with my back. Just one side and going down my leg! I have to keep getting up and going for a walk away from my desk. I am not complaining though. Anyone else had backache?

Katy85 · 01/05/2019 11:59

@Pop1234 yes I've had bad backache too, early on it was more in my lower back but last week it was higher up and extremely uncomfortable, same, I had to keep getting up and walking around, sitting still was agony. I put a cushion behind my back now at the dinner table, it helps a little

Pop1234 · 01/05/2019 12:05

@Katy85 mine is still lower feels just above my bum on the right hand side and goes all down my leg. Wonder if it's everything stretching. Maybe I also need to get a cushion. When is your 12 week scan?

Katy85 · 01/05/2019 13:34

@Pop1234 cushions are your new best friend! And when you're a lot bigger a thinnish one under your bump at bedtime (as you can only lie on your side) is crucial for a good night's sleep. I just get a lot of dull aches down low, I know it's all stretching out again.
I'm going on the 20th May, so I'll be 13weeks exactly, I just want one now!!!

Mum637k · 01/05/2019 14:17

@Katy85 @Pop1234 I have some funny aches in ny lower back mostly at night but I am actually unsure what it is. It feels like it could be bowel movement type discomfort or uterus stretching or from a full bladder? Do you ladies have this?😂

BFN on Frer this morning. But I managed to get an hcg blood test so fingers crossed I can get some answers x

Katy85 · 01/05/2019 15:31

@Mum637k you guys are probably feeling more lower back sensations as the uterus has some serious stretching to do now! Mines already stretched from my son so it's got a head start so it's not too noticeable for me this time around, although i do need to wee all the time! If you get any sharp pains around hips/joints, don't panic it's probably just round ligament pain, I definitely remember that, all your ligaments soften to accommodate the growing uterus and it makes your joints very painful.

Mum637k · 01/05/2019 17:08

@Katy85 do you get these sensations on just one side sometimes? I have it more on the left sometimes

@LifeOfRiley63 oh I'm sorry to hear, if not this month then next one!! 🤞🏻keep us updated

@Mum637k yeah more on one side than the other, it's the right side for me

Pop1234 · 01/05/2019 19:51

@Katy85 that's interesting. This was my scan at 8 weeks 5 days. Which side would you say it's implanted?

Katy85 · 01/05/2019 20:06

@Pop1234 according to the article abdominal scans can be a mirror image, so if the placenta is on the left in the image its really on the right in your body, and the theory goes that's a boy.

Katy85 · 01/05/2019 20:08

Here's my first scan for my son, I was 15weeks so hard to tell which side the placenta is on

@Katy85 that's a lovely scan picture. Did you find out what you were having?

I feel like I'm being stupid guessing what it might be because after 3 miscarriages I feel like i still could miscarry again. But it's hard not to be a little excited :(

Katy85 · 01/05/2019 21:01

@Pop1234 i love this picture so much, his super long legs (his dad is 6 foot 3) and you can even see his fingers. Yeah I wanted to know, total control freak, we'll find out again this time at the 20week scan, I say another boy, he says it's a girl.
You're doing well, and dont begrudge yourself the excitement of it all, I know you've been through hard times with miscarriages but it's going really well so far. As long as you look after you and avoid stress etc

Mum637k · 01/05/2019 21:25

@Pop1234 I'm sorry if this is too personal and if you don't want to talk about it please do say so. i was just wondering if there was a heartbeat on your previous scans?

Also, don't feel bad about being excited 😊 the way I see it is it's better to enjoy whatever time we have our little beans than to spend it with only worry. My last time was very hard of course and I too am trying nit to get ahead of myself but I would regret looking back on this time and seeing inly worry. I would say allow yourself the joy on occasion 😊

@Katy85 omg just realised his super long legs!! Has he still got long legs now? That's amazing.

DP keeps saying I'm doing well and said I seem 'relaxed' this time. I think the good scans and also measuring right to my dates has helped, although I got to 8 weeks with one of my previous ones, I was measuring a week behind when I was sure on my dates. Also the one 8 week scan I had looks no where near as well developed as this one so hoping thats a good sign. Literally praying as so many of our friends/family are expecting before or around the same time as us, so just hoping we will be too.

This group also helps as well and manages to keep me sane with my worries so thank you Smile

Pop1234 · 01/05/2019 21:40

@Mum637k don't worry. Might be a long post..

So our first one we never saw a heartbeat. I didn't even know I was pregnant until work took me to a&e with severe abdominal pain (turned out to be bowl related) but I found out in hospital I was around 3/4 weeks (had the implant out 4 weeks before). This pregnancy developed no further than 5/6 weeks and no heart beat at 7 week scan as the hospital were monitoring because of the pain I'd had. They originally thought ectopic.

The second one had an early private scan at 7 weeks but measured 6 weeks with a heart beat (I was so sure on my dates). Went to another about 2 weeks later, I was measuring 8 weeks 2 days. But it was another private one and feel like they over measured me (told him how anxious I was) as the scan looks nothing like my 8 week 5 day one this time. Went to my 12 week scan and baby only measured 8 weeks with no heart beat.

The third one got to 7 weeks and started to bleed. Couldn't get a scan as it was Christmas Eve and ended up passing to sac and baby on Boxing Day so never saw a heartbeat.

These all happened between April and December last year. First two I had ERPC and I caught first cycle after them. But the last time it was natural and was two cycles until I caught again.

Phew long post, but you both know my history now 😂😂

@Mum637k how about yours did you see a heartbeat?

Mum637k · 01/05/2019 21:47

@Pop1234 thank you for sharing, I'm sorry if it was hard. My mc was a mmc,we found out at the 12 week scan that embryo was measuring 6 weeks with no heartbeat. It was terribly sad, but let's be happy we are all given another chance and at this moment all is well 😊
Can I just say how inspiring you are, that in the face of all that adversity you never gave up! I'm not sure I could be as strong as you. I will pray for you and your baby, ask that everything goes well this time ❤️

Katy85 · 01/05/2019 21:48

@Pop1234 yes he's very tall and slender, he was only 6lb 13 but he was very long!
I can imagine any reassurance from scans will help you no end, carry on as you are and stick with the obvious advice, eat well, drink water, avoid caffeine, light exercise etc but mental health is equally important as it can impact on physical health

Katy85 · 01/05/2019 21:56

@Pop1234 @Mum637k girls you're making me tear up, your stories are heartbreaking yet you both found the strength to continue your journeys. I wish you both, your partners and your little beans, all the love in the world, you all deserve it so much xx

Mum637k · 01/05/2019 21:59

@Katy85 now I'm tearing up too! thank you both, I'm hoping all goes well for all of us and we can finally join a whatsapp group!😂 @Pop1234
