@Delilah7 that’s so frustrating for you, I hope your body gets back to normal soon! I think it’s fairly normal after a miscarriage though? A friend of mine misscarried at 6 weeks and she said it took 3 months to get her normal cycle back.

I’m 8dpo today - or, at least, I think I am. Kept waking up in the night with cramps, still getting them on and off. I thought maybe af was coming early but no blood, not even spotting, but loads of ewcm. Wtf?

KatBeCool · 01/10/2018 12:27

@Crossfitgirl dtd-ing every 2-3 days without testing might not be a bad idea. Are they going test your DHs sperm too?
I'm keeping my sticks though. They're actually giving me more peace as their results coincide with what I feel in my body and I like a "second opinion" lol.

Delilah7 · 01/10/2018 12:31

@stormtrooperjulian I hope it just hurries up now and shows itself. I'm bored and pissed off now 😂

@stormtrooperjulian I've seen some people report ewcm after the ovulation up until af, others say it's creamy, and others say it's a mix of two. And BFPs with either one of those. You know, it all makes it clear and easy for us, right? Good luck!

ValidUser · 01/10/2018 12:32

@Crossfitgirl I'm glad you're getting checked out. X

cupcakesandglitter · 01/10/2018 12:34

Thankyou @Delilah7 I actually fell straight back to sleep and have just got up again - so unlike me I think it may be a case of your body just taking some time to settle after the mc, but if you're only a few days late then please try not to worry yourself too much x

@Crossfitgirl I've not tested again today, I'm too scared 😂 I thought AF would've come with red blood as usual but I've only had a small amount of watery brown stuff again. Weird, but I think it's best for me to wait to see if it does turn into AF first. I'm happy you've been to the doctors, it's definitely the right step!! And if the OPKs stress you out then yeah definitely binning them is a good idea - enjoy DTD and take it easy too - we put sooooo much pressure on ourselves, it can't be healthy for us xx

Delilah7 · 01/10/2018 12:36

@cupcakesandglitter you say few days late like it's normal for me however it's not lol. But I get what you're saying x

cupcakesandglitter · 01/10/2018 12:47

@Delilah7 I know sweet, it is a horrible situation being in limbo and just waiting for our bodies to work again, but like I said to CrossFit, you definitely need to try and relax because I don't think the stress we put ourselves under is healthy for us xx

Delilah7 · 01/10/2018 13:21

@cupcakesandglitter with everything else right now it's not great for me. Xx

Hi everyone I have been lurking and reading along for a while. Reading everyone's stories and being down you've been down and happy when you have good news.

We tried this week for the first time as it was my most fertile point and I wanted to ask about phantom symptoms! Because it's SO early and you don't know anything or feel anything for the first so many weeks but since trying I feel like my body is acting all weird. Or because my mind is on it, every little thing is making me think. Does anyone else get this?

I know it's nothing as it's sooo early but I just want reassurance that I haven't lost the plot.
I've had headaches over the weekend, the occasional dull pain down below and lower back pain all morning. Please tell me phantom symptoms are a thing and it's just my mind playing tricks on me??

Crossfitgirl · 01/10/2018 14:29

@delilah7 thanks - and yay for binning the sticks! I do think it'll take the pressure off timing, although I worry a little about the pressure being on then for making sure we keep up with DTD, but to be honest I think we need to be doing it more anyway to have more of chance each month.

rj995 I feel like everything is a waiting game with TTC! Waiting for ov... waiting for AF.... waiting for enough dpo for testing to be accurate... then waiting for AF to go away to commence DTD Haha it goes so slow!

@stormtrooperjulian do you usually get spotting around now? If it's not there maybe that's good! I don't think we're too far apart, I'm about 6dpo. I've had a runny nose all week as my only symptom but I think it's the cold weather tbh! No other signs at all this time! I'm sure some people on here have had lots of CM the cycle they got BFP??

@katbecool they will test him if they refer us to a fertility clinic. She said they refer straight away if there's any issues with the hormone tests.
I am not sure about the ovulation tests - I mean, I do get a positive right around the time I get ovulation pains, and it also coincides with my temp rise, so I do think they have worked for me. So @essjayycee maybe stick with them.
But actually, for me, I think her suggestion is good and since I think I know when I ovulate anyway now, maybe I don't need them. I only started them in the first place to check i WAS ovulating and planned to stop but ended up temping as well instead! Now I guess the tests will tell!

Thank you @validuser. I didn't even have to tell a white one in the end. I told her I came off the pill in Feb, which is true, and she never asked me anything else - she was really good and took me seriously when I just said I was worried about the PCOS, and just said she would do blood tests and go from there. Glad I went :-)

@cupcakesandglitter glad you're not worrying too much, fingers crossed for you xx

stormtrooperjulian · 01/10/2018 15:06

@Crossfitgirl I was expecting spotting or something because of the cramping, I never get cramps like that outside of af time so I was just expecting to see signs af coming early. The cramping has mostly stopped now though.

cupcakesandglitter · 01/10/2018 15:15

@Crossfitgirl thankyou sweet ❤️

KatBeCool · 01/10/2018 15:46

@Crossfitgirl I think she's probably seen many cases where tests didn't work or people weren't interpreting the results correctly, or weren't looking at other symptoms. But I wouldn't say opks are useless if they do work lol. Hopefully your blood tests come back ok. I was so worried about my hormone levels but all came back normal. Uff, if men only knew what women have to endure during this process.

KatBeCool · 01/10/2018 15:49

@cupcakesandglitter it is possible at as light as it is, this is your AF. Are your temps still up?

Delilah7 · 01/10/2018 15:54

@Crossfitgirl I was going to bin them anyways after this month as I got pregnant without them before so! Just want AF to hurry up now! If she doesn't return by end of this week I'm going to ring my doctor I think... I know what's normal for me and what isn't. With or without the miscarriage! Xxx

starkid · 01/10/2018 16:23

Hi everyone,
@Delilah7 - sorry you had a BFN xx

@KatBeCool - interesting advice!

I thought my OPK showed as positive Saturday but wasn't sure, however yesterday was fainter and today no test line at all so guess that it did happen Saturday. Shame as I was basing this FW on the previous month, which happened around 4 days later, so only DTD twice in that time! Hardly great odds.
Mind you, with what KatBeCool's doctor was saying maybe it wasn't right anyway. My temp wasn't any higher yesterday than previous, so who knows.

KatBeCool · 01/10/2018 16:32

@starkid the temperature doesn't rise dramatically immediately following the ovulation. Progesterone needs a couple of days to build up and that's what rises the temperature.

starkid · 01/10/2018 16:44

@KatBeCool - Ah, who knows then, will keep at it and keep an eye on my temps :) Thanks! My first cycle TTC so not great with the biology of it yet!

Delilah7 · 01/10/2018 16:47

@starkid thanks Hun, I'm sad but I'll just have to get on with it xx

Glad your docs are supportive @crossfitgirl xx

mrsof20118 · 01/10/2018 16:59

An update today. I've had a slight mini spell of a teeny bleed when I got up this morning. Nothing at all since. Yesterday mainly a small bit of brown blood. I was too impatient for a 2ww so no idea how I'll cope this week with docs saying to wait 7 days to test again. Was due to have first group antenatal this morning so cancelled that but midwife told me to get gp to refer me to epcu. Now waiting for gp to refer.

Anyone know how long it takes for your hcg levels to drop if it was a chemical or very early 4/5 weeks? I am so impatient. Thank God for this group for support xx
