@Crossfitgirl, it is indeed all of our inner symptom spotting psycho's that get unleashed in the TWW. We coined it on our little old thread - it nicely sums up how normal, chilled, professional, logical women totally lose our 🤬ing minds with noticing every single 🤬ing twinge or taste or smell and turn it into a pregnancy symptom in the TWW! We were wondering if we used it enough if it'd get included in the mumsnet abbreviations list 🤔😉

Bfn on a frer this morning at 11dpo so I guess that’s me out for this cycle? Not sure when I’m due af as this is my first proper hormonal contraceptive free cycle since I was 15 😂😂

@stormtrooperjulian not necessarily. I wouldn't usually (in my measly 5 months of trying) test before 12dpo. Here's a good link for you:

Not going to lie feeling abit crampy. Went to toilet had abit of CM. Took an ovulation test and got this result. Now I know it's got to be darker or the same colour as the test line but does it normally have a line? or does this mean it's 'coming' as such.

@Delilah7 yes there is normally a line of some sorts for me sometimes it's v faint other times it is quite strong but it is only positive if it is as strong or stronger than the control line 😘

@FlapJackered that's cool I knew about it being darker or the same if I'm near or whatever. Just wondered do they normally have a line in general so that's ok :)

@delilah7 Yeah I got faint lines a couple of days running up to my positive.

DH being supportive as usual and reminding me of the pregnancy test expense I've saved 😂

@Delilah7, I was wondering where you'd got to! LH will always be floating about a bit, so don't read too much into it. That's a straight forward BFN right there - like you say, it needs to be the same or darker to be a BFP. I found (with the same brand) that I'd get nothing, nothing, nothing and then BFP. It's not like it gradually got darker, if you see what I mean. I guess it's called a LH surge for a reason 😄

So sorry your cycles are messing you about @Crossfitgirl 💐 Did you say your next cycle will be cycle 7? If so, I reckon with PCOS you're fully justified heading to the docs. At least you can relax and enjoy some cocktails on your holiday now 🍸🌅

I was kidding myself after our dire week of sex though.
I think we really need this holiday to recharge and reconnect and just spend time on "us". Everything happens for a reason I think and, after all, it could be our last holiday together as a couple without kids!
Well, at least where I'll be drinking anyway :-)

@bambionice80 this is now day 1 of cycle 6, but it will be just less than 6 months though by the end as my cycles are much shorter than a month. If no BFP by October I think I'll go. Or maybe even at end of September xx

Hey @Delilah7 I haven't had any luck with OPKs either, I've done one yesterday and today and they have suuuuuper faint lines on them.

How often does everyone test with OPKs? Twice daily? X

@Delilah7 mine started with a barely visible second line that got gradually darker over a couple of days before I got a positive one.

@Crossfitgirl that's a good idea, just try and put ttc out of your mind while you're away.

I just started doing the IC opks today cd10 but not going to start with the clearblue until cd14 this time as I can't stand another 14days of that taunting flashing smiley 😆
I know it's way too early but the temptation to poas is just too much!

@cupcakesandglitter I test 3 times a day, otherwise there is a risk of missing it, I have never had more than one positive per cycle so I think it is necessary. I test first thing, last thing and at around 3pm.

I think it's good to have a plan like that to work to @Crossfitgirl - helps take the pressure off and October isn't that far away 👍 AF for cycle 6 will be due for me on the 21st, so as soon as she shows up I'm booking an appointment with the doc for October. DP got slightly carried away/can't count and took himself off for his SA yesterday 😳 At least his results will be back by the time I go to the doc! 😂
