Oh no @mumplanner I am so sorry to hear this. Have you got any cheapies that you can monitor the strength of the line on? X

Sending lots of hugs to you x

Charlotte1x · 15/07/2018 15:51

Hi all. Well after I retched at the smell of bacon cooking this afternoon I’ve got a test and got a BFP! Very strong line on the FRER but not very strong on the Internet cheapie even though it’s 10 Miu.

I’m in shock tbh, over the moon but in shock and I burst into tears. This is first month of TTC DC1 so I feel very lucky but also a bit scared because I’m getting quite bad cramps. I’ve had these for two weeks now though so hoping it’s just my body welcoming the bean.

Thanks for all your support guys and my fingers and crossed to see your BFPs really soon! Xx

Charlotte1x · 15/07/2018 15:52

Here’s a pic - do you think the line on the cheapie should be stronger? X

TheMagicTorch · 15/07/2018 17:23

@Charlotte1x that is a flipping strong line on the FRER! I think the line looks good on the IC as well, though sensitive I don't think they're as obvious as the FRER from what I've read on Amazon. Huge congratulations!!

@mumplanner I'm so sorry. I hope it's not a chemical and it turns out okay for you.

We had a chemical last month and had told both sides of our close family and although it was hard updating them we were very very thankful for their support. Keeping my fingers crossed for you petal xx

TrevorJ · 15/07/2018 17:34

@Charlotte1x that's a great lone on the free, I wouldn't worry about the other one. Congrats!!

FlapJackered · 15/07/2018 17:59

Congratulations @Charlotte1x !!! That's a great line! Don't worry about the IC their reviews are pretty terrible these days and I had a false positive on one last cycle.

Bas27 · 15/07/2018 18:00

@Charlotte1x are you kidding? The rest line is darker than the control line on frer! You are doing great :)
My ic line is also fainter than frer by quite a lot.
I'm going to keep testing until frer goes darker and ic shows up more then do a digi to confirm and hopefully then hang up my testing gear. X

Thank you all so much :) I’m over the moon, but got another feeling as well which I can’t put my finger on but I think im also a little bit scared. Just natural I guess.

@Bas27 do you think I’d get a positive result if I tried a digital tomorrow? X

LucyC10 · 15/07/2018 19:57

(This is mumplanner- I decided I’d prefer to use my name)
@Charlotte1x - that’s so positive - I knew it! Very pleased and excited for you. Although that sucks about the bacon 🥓😂
When I got my BFP - I suddenly felt like I had made a mistake - so I understand having another feeling - I read that was very normal. X

TrevorJ · 15/07/2018 20:04

Sorry for my atrocious typing earlier. Didn't manage to get an frer there were none in the Tesco Extra, will have to make it to a chemist tomorrow as I dont think I can wait much longer. Do you know if there is much difference between FMU and other with FRER?

Charlotte1x · 15/07/2018 20:08

@LucyC10 - thank you, how are you doing now? Hugs xx

@TrevorJ I did my test at about half 2 in the afternoon, not the morning. Just made sure I hadn’t drank too much for a few hours prior x

Angelmiracle · 15/07/2018 20:41

@Charlotte1x beautiful lines hun congratulations 🤞💐

@LucyC10 praying all will be ok for you and babe 💕

TrevorJ · 15/07/2018 22:27

DH says he can see a line too. Really can't get it to photograph at all. I'll test again in the morning and then I'll hopefully confirm later with an frer fx.

purplestar9 · 15/07/2018 23:22

Congrats @Charlotte1x that's such a strong line! 😃

oakleywhite · 16/07/2018 07:15

I caved and took a test at 11DPO- BFN!

I know it's early and I'm not definitely out yet, but I had been hoping for even the faintest of lines to give me hope!

FSlater · 16/07/2018 07:17

Think I’m out this month 😔. 11DPO and such a clear negative on FRER. AF due on Friday. That moment you realise you’re out for a whole month is gutting isn’t it? At least I can stop symptom spotting now haha xx

purplestar9 · 16/07/2018 08:18

12DPO for me today (I think - cycles are a bit messed up). AF due Thursday so hoping to wait until Saturday to test if AF not shown her face by then... this is going to take some willpower!
I started with sore boobs yesterday and tingly nipples a bit this morning. But I don't know what my 'usual' AF signs are at the moment as this is only my second cycle off the pill. Hope everyone's got their positivity hat on today 😃

MrsT1983 · 16/07/2018 08:28

Af arrived last night so i’m out for this month.
Good luck to all of you still waiting 🤞🏻

TrevorJ · 16/07/2018 09:59

This morning was super faint again. DH wants to do the proper one together so going to do it when he gets home from work. 11 dpo so hoping the frer will show a line or nothing (obviously hoping for a lone if I'm honest) but fed up with squinting at the ICs.

@FSlater I was gutted last month but decided to take more control of it from that point, bought some OPK and decided to follow SMEP, I feel like even if it hasn't worked this morning at least I have learnt stuff. Like I ovulate way later than I thought.

TheMagicTorch · 16/07/2018 10:07

@FSlater It is gutting when you realise it's another month but I did as @TrevorJ said, and it didn't seem as bad this month - my AF came and although I'm disappointed I'm looking at CD1 as a fresh start, and last month seemed to go quicker as I was a bit more 'in control'

tollie00 · 16/07/2018 10:09

Congrats @Charlotte1x and @Bas27 !!

Haven't been able to get online much. So happy to see some BFPs! I've had 3 BFNs - 9dpo, 11dpo, and today at 15dpo - AF is late for the first time since I stopped the pill 6 months ago (usually comes like clockwork first thing in the morning on CD25 but nothing still today at CD26 and no cramps). I didn't test with FMU today, had only been about 2 hours (my tests were at work and I couldn't wait this morning to get to work and I couldn't wait to test) so there is a part of me like maaaybe?? but at this point I'm really scraping for any explanation other than my body is having a laugh with me and the witch will show any minute now. It's usually like clockwork and now our first month TTC and she plays tricks!

If anyone can offer advice, I'm wondering if I should include DP in all this. I haven't told him I've been testing, but I'm toying with the idea of saying well my period is late, let's test together in the morning? I just know it will be negative, but I kind of want him to feel the disappointment/confusion/stress as well. Maybe it'll make him more engaged with the trying and I'll feel less anxious?

LucyC10 · 16/07/2018 11:28

@tollie00 - I'd say definitely include DP if you're feeling that way - it's such a hard thing to be going through without that support and there's no reason you should!

I started bleeding yesterday so I have had a chemical pregnancy this month unfortunately.

TheMagicTorch · 16/07/2018 11:40

@LucyC10 So sorry to hear that Flowers
I went through the same last cycle and it's heartbreaking, hope you're doing okay.

@tollie00 I agree, it definitely feels much less lonely if you have his support.

Charlotte1x · 16/07/2018 11:58

I agree @tollie100 - include him in it. It’ll be easier for him to understand then.

@LucyC10 sorry to hear this, fx for next month for you.

Thanks for all your support everyone, I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled and my fingers are tightly crossed to see all your BFPs in the very near future! Xxx

TrevorJ · 16/07/2018 12:06

@LucyC10 big hugs, look after, be kind and treat yourself. X

@tollie00 I would bring him in to what your thinking and worrying. I think its really hard for them to understand but its impossible for them to get it if we don't open up.
