TTC first baby cycle one! Anyone else out there?

So.... first baby 🤞🏼🙏🏽🤞🏼🙏🏽 Meant to be ovulating tomorrow. Main challenge atm is keeping things fun with the husband and not making him feel like a baby making machine 😂 How’s it going for other hopeful first time mummy’s?

@Crossfitgirl my cm does come around the same time though so could be an indication it's right. Just need to investigate that more!

@Delilah7 don't worry love - we've all had our issues with that side of things. Like you and @Crossfitgirl I'm quite petite and it hurts if I'm not completely 100% up for it, and he can always tell and it puts him off 😞 Not good for TTC!
AF turned up today at last - that was a 36 day cycle which is a bit of a blow after a 29 one last time. I'm feeling an increased pressure now going into cycle 4. I need to relax.
Reading about these issues that some of your loved ones have had is upsetting.
@FlapJackered if you don't mind me asking who did you organise the tests through if it was private? I would quite like some basic tests but we wouldn't qualify on the NHS yet.

@Crossfitgirl 😂 oops! I hope the positive comes for you soon! I tested3 times a day one with FMU then at around 3/4pm and again before sleeping. I got my positive 4pm and an almost positive the next morning.
Have you told your sister you are ttc? I am wondering if I should tell mine so it doesn't come as a shock to her if I do get pg. I just don't want to tell my mum as she will tell the whole world and its friend!

@rosesandponies - just through the NHS, I know it's a bit cheeky but I just said we had been trying for a year. It was bending the truth a little... 😳
I was planning on doing them privately otherwise, I just googled 'fertility tests' and the area I live and there were a few places.

@rosesandponies difficult isn't it because if I'm not fully 100 percent it slams shut like a clam 😂😂so it's not particularly easy at first. Awaiting af!

Can I ask what supplements/vitamins you all take? I am taking Folic Acid at the moment but wondered if I should be taking anything else?

@MrsC87 folic acid, iron supplements (I can get a bid anaemic) and I was on vitamin D, but I think I've got plenty naturally in this weather! My husband takes soluble vitamin C with Zinc. I get the cheap own brand ones from Boots or Superdrug

Trying to not look into things but my AF still hasn't come.

Also my app says it's not due till tomorrow BUT I'm 28 day cycle today and I normally have cramps the day before.

@Delilah7 everything crossed for you hon🤞🏼 Try to stay calm - do some house stuff or watch a fun film to keep your mind off it. You'll know soon!

@flapjackered no I haven't told my sister, however she already assumes we are, she asked us the other day why we turned our spare room into an office and not a nursery!! so I don't really need to! Maybe it could be nice for your sister to know you're both in the same boat and like you say, have a heads up in case it does happen before her. What do you think you will do?
I am not taking any supplements - I know the advice is to take folic acid, but it's also fine to start once you're pg- so I'm choosing to just start once I'm pg. For me it just adds the pressure thinking taking tablets every single day.
@Delilah7 I found the day my period was due was the most difficult one to deal with of the whole tww! Distract yourself, go do something nice, keep busy :-)

Hi girls, going to join in with your agonised chat! Been lingering for a while and thought I won’t obsess and thus not join in but I can’t do it anymore! Me and Oh are both 30 been together 8 year and been married for a year and now ttc baby number one.This will be our first full cycle. I Have a feeling that Af is due any minute so think I’m out for this month but hopefully you can all keep me sane while we do it all again next month!

@Crossfitgirl - I think I will tell her if it comes up but just ask her to keep it under wraps!

@MrsC87 - I am the queen of supplements. I take a pharmacy worth of supplements, but I always used to be the one that got the flu. My family do take the piss out of me BUT this winter I was the only one in my family not to get Aussie flu so I am rather smug about my collection of pills!
I take...a multi-vit, folic acid, magnesium, Maca root, vit e, vit d, co enzyme q10 and milk thistle. Just a few! 🤣
Oh and Inositol now! To shorten my excessively long cycles.

Welcome @ProseccoBee ! I am 30 too and ttc no1 - also married a year to my OH (with him for 11 years) so we are at similar places! Hopefully AF won't come for you, but if it does you're in good but somewhat loopy company here!

@FlapJackered well flo has stated tomorrow's apparently my period day when I'm always 28 days for sure. But I have t had any cramps. I'm sure it'll arrive tomorrow though if not yes I'll test. You ok??? X

@rosesandponies I'm so shocked!!!!! Now I've got to get a midwife pack from doctors. Told OH he's shocked it's happened so early but happy. My mum and dad are over the moon - I'm very close with them so I had to tell them. I know it's early and lots can happen :(

Yes it's early days, but if (and I hope it doesn't) anything does happen it will be good to have your parents' support.

@flapjackered and @rosesandponies thanks for the welcome and pleased to have people at a similar stage to chat with, helps that I’m a little looney myself so will fit right in haha! How has married life treat you both? I can’t actually believe it’s a year since I was married it has absolutely flew over and I just wish I could do t it all again! Though got my new focus now, how did you decide that the time was right to ttc? Me and hubby decided we wanted a little time to ourselves first and got our travels out of the way but I’ve been growing bloodier each month and literally can’t wait anymore ha!
