TTC first baby cycle one! Anyone else out there?

So.... first baby 🤞🏼🙏🏽🤞🏼🙏🏽 Meant to be ovulating tomorrow. Main challenge atm is keeping things fun with the husband and not making him feel like a baby making machine 😂 How’s it going for other hopeful first time mummy’s?

I've booked a doctors appointment for tomorrow - bit nutcase-ish after 2 cycles I know - but just want to get it on record that we are trying so they don't get funny with me if I've had no luck much further down the line. Would quite like to get both of us checked out as well for general health - worried about low libido etc.
AF appeared today (she's been getting earlier every month which is a good thing with these rubbish long cycles) so want to feel like I'm doing something positive rather than just chocolate/gin/Poldark/sobbing over baby photos on Facebook etc

Hi ladies! TTC #1 here, month 4. AF due today but no sign so far and I’m usually like clockwork...promised myself I’ll wait it out until Saturday! Anyone else waiting to test? Xxx

@rosesandponies I am in the same boat. Got a bfn this morning and temp drop so AF is likely to start today or tomorrow. I knew it was unlikely but still feel sad 😢
I am going to drown my sorrows with Gin and Poldark too - sounds like the perfect solution!
Yes I think it's a good plan to get it all checked out. DH is getting his swimmers checked this month too.
I am hoping the next cycle is going to be shorter for both of us. I am planning on attacking it on all fronts: raspberry leaf tea, grapefruit juice, relaxation, lots of exercise and inositol!

Hoping to join you, we have had our first month of trying, due period Saturday. It’s so hard not to symptom spot, I had light pink bleeding once on cd17 (which I think from reading is to early for implantation) and felt sick all day yesterday. Not sure when to test, trying to hold out to see if period comes.

I'm on CD 15. Still negatives on OPKs- but only missed 2 days of DTD since period ended (CDs 10 and 14), so hopefully if I've missed the peak on the opks it won't matter?
I was keen to DTD yesterday but DH not so as he was very tired, so we left it. I don't want to stress him out.

I wish I could think about something else I could think about - TTC is all consuming already, even though it's only the first month! I think if I'm not pregnant this I might not do any ovulation testing next month - it's making me panic not seeing any positives.

@hamandpease I totally get why you're panicking I wouldn't be thinking if anything else and reading into everything - it still looks like a bfp to me still, try to remember your positive convo with your lovely midwife 😄
@LuckyKitty13 I'm giving up on OTK this next cycle too - it's driven me mad not seeing any definite positives and just makes me so upset if we don't DTD which is not always easy for us at the best of times without me semi tearful, pleading etc.

Is that from the date of the first day of your last period or adding 2 weeks to your ovulation/conception date?

I have long cycles and ovulated on CD21 so I think they may date me longer than I actually am if that makes sense.

Were you nervous for the appointment? Exciting you've done it now

I have so much intermittent cramping though :-( do you @Hcna23?

Its not quite the same as period pain though 🤷🏼‍♀️

@hamandplease well my last period was 10/3 but I had an ultrasound on 24th April and There was nothing to see.. midwife went by working out that CB digital said 3+ and then she worked out that I ov’d around 10th May.

Won’t be fully sure til I get my dating scan which should gone through in a couple weeks.

Yeah I get really bad cramps on my right side... can’t help but worry but midwife assured me it’s all normal
