TTC first baby cycle one! Anyone else out there?

So.... first baby 🤞🏼🙏🏽🤞🏼🙏🏽 Meant to be ovulating tomorrow. Main challenge atm is keeping things fun with the husband and not making him feel like a baby making machine 😂 How’s it going for other hopeful first time mummy’s?

I'm so excited I'm cd8 so I'm just getting started. Soooon to be in my fertile window 😍 exciting times xx

@rosesandponies just read back a little bit and I'm so sorry you've been going through a difficult time and I agree with the girls... No one knows or understands your relationship like you do and they never will. Relationships aren't always easy and you have to work hard at them sometimes. So no one can really comment on what you should and shouldn't do. Hope you alright!
I was hoping to get some good vibes from everyone... I'm starting to get nervous because i think I'm about 12dpo today and I think I should be getting my period Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday... But I'm hoping I don't. I feel today like I'm going to come on... Got that heavy achyness that aches in you upper thighs aswell and Im really hoping it's not my period coming early. I bought HPTs this morning which I'm kind of regretting because IL prob use them now haha! Also my boobs usually hurt from ovulation but I feel like they've only just started aching in the last day which makes me think PMS. Eeek! I'm tense haha!

@Trying1stBaby we have our fingers crossed for you. So confusing as I now know how coming off the pill/pms and pregnancy have some of the same symptoms so I feel it's so hard not to get your hopes up. You never know lovely. Xx

@delilah yeah your totally right ... I need to stay open minded now and not get carried away on either possible answer. It is very hard... And I'm also nervous about another chemical... But I guess theres no way of knowing and time will tell.. I hate time right now hahaha!

@Trying1stBaby I'm the same. I'm wishing my DTD days away just to see if I have a better chance this month. But we should just relax and push through calmly 😂 I wanna enjoy this whole journey and experience xx

Good luck @Trying1stBaby ! I think AF symptoms are quite similar to pregnancy symptoms, so you never know! Will keep my 🤞🏻 for you! When will you test?

Yeah I am totally calm about it...while frantically googling symptoms and peeing on pg tests every 5 mins! 😂

@FlapJackered it's ok I spend most my time looking at ovulation calculators and how often to have sex and all that jazz 😂😂

@delilah your right you don't want to look back at when you conceived your first baby and hate the memories haha! Xx
@flapjackered thank you, I don't know when to test... Sometimes I'm like IL test tomorrow but then it could still be too early... So realistically if I keep a straight head on I won't test until Wednesday when my period is definitely late. I have my fingers crossed for you too! When do you think you would expect your period?

@Trying1stBaby I just know how much I'll love the experience of when I'm actually pregnant. Especially as I know someone people aren't able to be. But I know it's stressful. Even TTCing for my first cycle was extremely emotional xx

@Trying1stBaby well done, that is very restrained, and very exciting - I am not sure I would be able to wait, although I am sure it is the right thing to do!
I am not sure when AF is due, I have seriously irregular cycles, the last one was 52 days and I am on cd42 so not sure? I normally go from ovulation, and I think I may have ovulated yesterday if my temps stay up, so then will be at the start of the tww.

@Delilah7 it is emotional isn't it, it would just be nice to have a bfp on this thread.

Thanks ladies. I'm feeling a little bit more sane now . I just need to hear advice from ladies in the boat... I just don't listen otherwise because i feel like when your in the same situation you understand more... Does that make sense.

Second cycle trying and third cycle mapping, turns out my cycle is all over the place!

Really thought it would work last month and because it didn't not feeling very optimistic this month

GP has also kindly referred us for a sperm analysis test very early in the process as DH is on medication which can affect motility so best to know now I suppose...

@hamandpease I feel your pain, been off the pill for a couple of months now and this mapping business seems to be complete rubbish so far - they're always sooo long for me atm.
@Trying1stBaby thinking of you, very best of luck I really hope that June is your month! When's AF first day meant to be?
Thanks so much everyone once again for the kind words and positivity it really helps to boost me up, to the extent that DH and I actually managed to be, erm, 'successful' this morning and I think ovulation day is today or yesterday, perhaps this won't be a wasted cycle after all.

Thanks @rosesandponies ❤️! My AF is due Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday so think I would test after this time because then I would know I'm actually late.
I will deffo be keeping you ladies informed on how I get on... But if I am really honest I'm not feeling it... Last month I could tell I was until the chem but this month feel normal. But I guess u just don't know until you know haha!

@Trying1stBaby easier said than done but try not to think about it, if you cave in to temptation and test too early you'll still be wondering until next Wednesday anyway because it might be too light to show!😂

@rosesandponies your so right! And if it was negative I'd prob end up testing again on Wednesday just incase and it's just a waste of money and tests! I'm going to stay strong!! I can do this!! 💪 Xx

@Kescilly @FlapJackered this is my first period since stopping the pill and it has come as 'usual' as I was on the combined pill - 3 weeks on, 1 week off (with a bleed in that week). That's what I meant by the withdrawal bleed - the last one So now I'm officially off contraception and doing by best to make a baby. Good luck everyone!

Can someone give me their opinions on these ovulation sticks? Tried them last month and promised myself I wouldn't this month

They're over the last 4 days ish, the top one an hour ago, the second to top midnight ish and third to top 8.30am yesterday.

Did it yesterday morning but both managed to fall asleep last night and DH has had to pop to work today and won't be back til this afternoon (and is very much against the sticks telling him when to do it)

But do I need to make sure we do it again today? Ahhh going crazy!!

@Hamandpeas it looks like your at peak. From what I have read you will ovulate about 24 hours after you get a peak opk. Maybe don't tell DH you got a peak one.
