So.... first baby πŸ€žπŸΌπŸ™πŸ½πŸ€žπŸΌπŸ™πŸ½ Meant to be ovulating tomorrow. Main challenge atm is keeping things fun with the husband and not making him feel like a baby making machine πŸ˜‚ How’s it going for other hopeful first time mummy’s?

Btw. It's not every time and it's super duper light!

Trying1stBaby · 01/06/2018 15:16

@delilah I'm not sure... Can implantation bleeding happen at this stage? Or is your period just taking a while to build up. I really hope it's the first!!

Delilah7 · 01/06/2018 15:56

@Trying1stBaby I don't think it can be but other people are saying it could. Tbh it would be less confusing to be AF!! Lol

rosesandponies · 01/06/2018 16:38

@Kescilly and @Trying1stBaby it's not something I think that the doctors would take too seriously - it's just one extra week to ten days so it falls within 'normal'. Doesn't stop it from being so annoying though! 😭 @Delilah7 implantation bleed perhaps? Is it like normal AF blood? Think it's meant to be more browny/pinky for an implantation bleed and @FlapJackered I'm really sorry it sounds so confusing what you're going through atm - the doctor will let you know for sure but I think it's unusual to get a positive test when it's actually negative, vice versa less so

@Trying1stBaby mines nothing like a normal bleed. Defo brown and pink. No red at the moment! Very on and off too lol

Kescilly · 01/06/2018 17:10

Sorry to hear that @rosesandponies, can't imagine how frustrating that must be.

@Delilah7 it could be implantation bleeding, but it could also be your body adjusting as you get off birth control. Mine were noticeably different when I was on the pill versus off. Are you going to test again tomorrow? Hoping you get some answers soon!

I'd also be wary of using the predicted ovulation date from an app (unless you're giving it a lot of information). They are often using a calendar method and just going off averages and dates, so they could be quite a bit off.

Delilah7 · 01/06/2018 21:06

I'm out AF for sure now! Now to wait till ovulation day hehe x

rosesandponies · 02/06/2018 11:21

@Delilah7 so sorry love 😭 here's hoping for June! @Kescilly thank you - it is quite frustrating. My body was everywhere too when I came off the Pill, hormones went wild it was like being 15 again! I'm trying to use otk as well as the Flo app because as you say it's just calendar based, but I'm finding them a bit inaccurate too e.g took one which looked positive ONE DAY after my period finished I was like "eh?!?!" so took another the next day too be sure - not even a faint line!πŸ˜‚

Sorry @Delilah7, glad you're looking forward already!

@rosesandponies which OPKs are you doing? I can't be bothered with the strips so I was trying to decide between the digital ones. Ultimately we decided to get the Clear Blue Monitor. It's pricey, but I'm getting older and we don't want to waste a lot of time. I'm also concerned about my fertility and we might end up throwing a lot of money at fertility treatments anyway, so this could be a drop in the hat. But there are cheaper Clear Blue ones that might be more definite. Do you think you identified your O date this month?

Delilah7 · 02/06/2018 14:00

@Kescilly @rosesandponies if I'm honest ladies I feel ok! Now comfort eating with some cookies πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

rosesandponies · 02/06/2018 15:24

@Kescilly I am really not sure when I'm ovulating - I feel like it should be soonish because my body is changing - chest goes a whole cup size bigger then shrinks down as I get pre menstrual. How about you? I got the Boots ones because they were on 3 for 2 - would be interested to know how the clear blue kit goes and if it's worth it. Bit of a guessing game for us atm. I had a birthday 2 weeks ago, definitely feeling the time pressure too as my 30s march on! @Delilah7 glad you're not letting it get you down. Was the Flo app pretty accurate for you this month

Delilah7 · 02/06/2018 15:42

@rosesandponies yes with when my period should be so I'm trusting it for ovulation. Says my day should be 14th so just gonna go from 11th - 17th πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Kescilly · 02/06/2018 16:32

I liked the monitor @rosesandponies. It feels a bit ridiculous to have this whole monitor with a screen, but it's compact enough that I felt okay taking it to the in-laws for the weekend.

It gave me two lows and three highs before giving me two peaks.

I have used Clue for the past year or so, and just started using Ovia this cycle. Both apps predicted my ovulation incorrectly, so I'm glad that I used the monitor.

Trying1stBaby · 02/06/2018 23:15

@delilah I'm loving the positivity. Your at the start of a new cycle which i usually find exciting again haha!

@kescilly @rosesandponies sorry I thought I would chip in on the ovulation thing. I'm tempted to use ovulation kits... This month has been a strange one for me... I have had on and off ovulation pain on my left side for a week now... So I can't tell if and when I ovulated. There's a chance I won't this month and there's a chance I could but it could be a lot later. Confused!! I feel like if I used an opk I would at least know either way. I use the ovia app and it usually gets everything quite accurate but maybe I need a cycle to get back to normal maybe.

Delilah7 · 04/06/2018 11:00

Help ladies. Im so nausea after these three days of bleeding. So dizzy. This is so abnormal for me. Normally bleed for 5/6says heavy and have been awfully light and still a mixture of brown. I really hope this isn't the symptoms of coming off the pill because it's doing my head in!!! I was told to still take a test. Should I really bother?!

FlapJackered · 04/06/2018 12:11

@Delilah7 I had awful symptoms coming off the pill, my periods are still quite light after 9 months of being off it. The first few periods only lasted 2 days and were really light.
I probably would test again just to stop the wondering what could be, but I mentally assume it will be a negative, then it is not so disappointing.

Trying1stBaby · 04/06/2018 12:19

@delilah I think of your confused you should Dona test. It will put your mind at rest and you will know the answer either way :). Fingers crossed for you lovely!

Delilah7 · 04/06/2018 12:30

@Trying1stBaby @FlapJackered I'm expecting a negative but then I'm wasting money again if I do and it is. BUT Then I'll stop wondering πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Trying1stBaby · 04/06/2018 20:19

@delilah have you decided what your going to do?
I think I forgot how annoying the TWW was or I'm just a lil extra crazy/impatient this month. I'm not even 100% sure when I ovulated because I had ovulation like pain for a week. TTC can be exhausting.

Delilah7 · 04/06/2018 20:31

@Trying1stBaby well weirdly enough my GP rang and we had a hat. She's sending me for a pregnancy blood test as she knows how abnormal this is for me. I wasn't too bothered but she was!

Trying1stBaby · 04/06/2018 20:49

@delilah! That's exciting and you don't have to pay for it! Smile got everything crossed for you!

@Trying1stBaby either way it'll put it to bed, whatever result I get. I just feel so different!

Trying1stBaby · 05/06/2018 07:51

@delilah you know your own body and it's the most accurate test they can do for you. I'm really hoping you get your bfp! 🀞😊

Delilah7 · 05/06/2018 07:57

@Trying1stBaby I'm not expecting too. But then I'm just confused as to what my body is doing πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
