TTC first baby cycle one! Anyone else out there?

So.... first baby 🤞🏼🙏🏽🤞🏼🙏🏽 Meant to be ovulating tomorrow. Main challenge atm is keeping things fun with the husband and not making him feel like a baby making machine 😂 How’s it going for other hopeful first time mummy’s?

It is so hard to to test isn't it! I was saying to myself to only test on Friday but I tested yesterday (bfn) and now I am so determined not to test but there is an argument in my head every 5 mins that maybe I should test again 🙈
I even walked into the bathroom picked up the pg test and put it back again...twice!
And I don't even have symptoms or even a signed that I ovulated. Complete madness it is!

@FlapJackered you aren't alone! I've done the exact same, I tested the day after my supposed ovulated date that's how impatient I am!

I totally agree that we're setting ourselves up for disappointment - but it's sooooo hard not to try and get excited! Hey you can't say we're not optimistic!

Hope it’s ok to join - just started TTC for our first the last couple of weeks but implant out 5 weeks ago and no AF yet so I’ve no idea where I am in my cycle! No AF for years while it was in, and I’m not sure what to look out for / how often to test.

@pinkdaffodil2 welcome :) the more the merrier.
You'll have to watch out because I have a friend who came off contraception and didn't get any bleeding because she got knocked up straight away. She didn't realise she was pregnant until 8weeks.

@Trying1stBaby AF hasn't come yet but the test to me was just defo negative. I'm so sad. I don't want to use OPKS yet or anything I just wish I knew if flo app was reliable or not... xxx

@delilah7 Aren't you still a few days away from your af? I would wait and see if that comes now. And you usually ovulate around fourteen days before your AF. Do you have a regular cycle??

@Trying1stBaby I'm normally extremely regular. Know when I'm coming off and on. Whereas obviously this time I don't. It's either tomorrow ( which is 28days from my withdrawal bleed ) or Monday which is when I'd normally come on if I was still on the pill. X x

@delilah7 ok yeah I get you. Well wait and see when AF comes and I always feel ok after that as I get pumped for another cycle hehe. Also what I do is I work out what my shortest cycle is and I count back 14 days and I find out my longest cycle and I count back fourteen days and that period of time is the time I think is most fertile and then I add a few days at the beginning and a few at the end and then I make sure we BD every other day during that time. I use the ovia app which does pretty much get it right as to when but I also work out myself just incase. I'm quite lucky in one way as I get bad ovulation pain so can work from that when exactly I did ovulate but only once it's gone... I can't tell when it's coming which is why I do all the BD maths haha!

@Trying1stBaby thing is my cycle has never changed I've always have 21days on pill and then 7day break off my pill. It's never changed since I've been on it. So I've never had a shorter one apart from this months! X

Have you been off the pill for a while Delilah? Sorry, it's hard to keep up with all the posts! I was always regular when I was on birth control because of the pill, but I started to vary a little once I was off.

It's just dawned on me. Have I got my cycle length wrong??? If I'm off the pill after 21 days for my 7 day break am 21 days or 28?! Lol

No that’s still a 28 day cycle. I wouldn’t go based off what you are when you’re on the pill. Everyone is going to have a 28 day cycle on because the pill is regulating your cycle.

So just start charting your cycles now and you’ll get an idea of how regular they are over time.

@delilah7 don't be silly! We aren't going to get annoyed because you have emotions and really want something. I think a lot of us know how frustrating it can be getting those BFNs but it'll be time to start again soon and then hope comes along with that. Just got to stay positive! xxx

Ah cautiously excited! Now going to be using up all my pg tests every trip to the toilet to confirm!
I just read your posts. So sorry to hear the bfn, but you're not completely out until AF shows up. Sorry v insensitive of me to barge in with that photo.I am not totally convinced the test is right but if it is, I got a bfn yesterday and AF is due tomorrow - so there is still hope for you. I know it can sometimes take a few months for your body to get over birth control so try not to worry to much. I know it is really tough.
