Anyone going for a third? Whats your age gap?

I have two dc, 20 months apart and age 4 and 6. I have been debating to have a third since my son was 12 months. Actually, I was talking about having a third while I was pushing him out :) The midwife said she never seen that before! Lol. But after having two dc, I realised it was a lot more work then I thought. However, it has been on my mind and whenever I was ready, my husband was not. And then when he finally was, I got cold feet. And now finally he has agreed again to try, so I think we will go for it. Am I crazy? My two dc are finally at a place where they are independent and it has gotten easy. However, I am worried if I do not go for it, I will regret it later. I am 35, so now is the time if we go for it. It is on my mind every day literally for the last year.

@L1zz13,
It’s about rebalancing the hormones and relaxing the female body and organs. I know there is more to it than that but don’t know all the technicalities. It’s very relaxing and I’ve not felt the needles before. I had recurring MMCs between my first and second daughters and didn’t know what to do. I’d had two MMCs prior to my first D.C. as well. So a friend who struggles with endometriosis and subsequently getting pregnant mentioned the benefits of fertility acupuncture. She had it four times a month for three cycles and fell pregnant - after trying for two years unsuccessfully and a surgical procedure to scrape her uteran wall. So, I tried it and two sessions after fell pregnant successfully. I don’t know with certainty that it’s the reason I fell pregnant but it certainly relaxed me and something shifted inside me that felt “balanced”. I’m seeing a woman named Zoe Lake in London. Check out her website and she explains a fair bit about it. Hope that helps somewhat. :-)

Thanks @MrsAmelia my husband sees a physio for a shoulder injury and he had some acupuncture last week. He suggested I go along and have a chat (not for fertility reasons). I'm fascinated by it all!

Am currently in early stages of pregnancy with number 3, age gap between DC1& DC2 was 28 months they are 4 & 2, and all goes well will be 33 months between DC2 & DC3. Totally relate to wondering if we are crazy ...life was just starting to get easier, but we always talked about a third and didn't feel done. We ummed and ahhed but then just went for it, as it was now or never...gulp

Congratulations @applecatchers36
My three consists of two teens and 6 yr old. Never been a major challenge.
Definitely needed a bigger car and house tho.

@L1zz13 I had fertility acupuncture between DD and DD too as I also had a couple of mcs and really felt it helped. I have been thinking of going again even though we are only on cycle 2 as I find it really relaxing and am sure it helped me in other parts of my life, the woman who did it was almost like my therapist! My DH has agreed on a 3rd and we are ttc but he does occasionally say are we really doing the right thing but only ever after an awful night with our 7m old! But he knows they'll sleep eventually, thy will right!?! 🤦‍♀️

@MrsY87 yes lol eventually. I might give the acupuncture a go.
My period that I thought had finished keeps suddenly starting. Very random.
I don't know how this will affect this cycle. Will be ttc as soon as possible.

I had number three when the other two were 6 and 4. Like the OP we kept changing our mind for years. I’m so glad we did it in the end, I haven’t had one single moment of regret. It’s a great age gap and much easier to enjoy than the two year age gap I had before.

I just wish I could have a fourth but I had vaginal mesh inserted after an op two years ago and now everything I read is how vaginal mesh is a public health disaster and a further pregnancy could lead to a life of pain and a colostomy bag so I have to leave the dream of a fourth (bloody surgeon who bloody inserted it without my bloody consent).
