Thanks everyone. The condoms were stored in the bathroom cupboard which apparently can interfere with their integrity (says google). Who knows. I’ve not relied on them for contraception before ever- always doubled up or was on pill. Either way I just have to wait and see now. We started trying last May but have been pregnant 3 times since then with no take home baby so can’t say I’m excited yet.

What I can say is that Bubbles hypothesis about symptoms in TWW meaning nothing seems to be true. Usually in TWW I’m symptom spotting even if I can’t help myself but this month as wasn’t expecting it I felt totally normal. Only symptom was my usual sore nipples but they even got better towards the end. And thrush but suspect that’s antibiotic related!

The cramping is due to the effects of progesterone on muscles. I get awful leg cramps after ovulation for the same reason. Can also cause constipation/diarrhoea through effects on muscle in the bowels which can contribute to cramps.

Question: meeting friends tomorrow. One family has two kids. Youngest just had chicken pox, now not infectious. Older brother hasn't had it yet so may well be incubating. I'm unsure as to whether or not I've had chicken pox. I am expecting fp tomorrow but really feeling (wishing) I was preggers. What do I do? I'd hate to have to rearrange as we haven't seen them since our wedding last summer. Should I test this morning just to check?

Paranormalbouquet · 21/04/2018 08:33

@SoozC if you aren’t sure if you’ve had it I wouldn’t go. Chickenpox in adults can be very nasty even not pregnant. You can get your immunity checked (I had it checked a few years ago and was vaccinated afterwards as wasn’t immune).

WonkyDonk87 · 21/04/2018 08:44

Deffo get your immunity checked out Sooz, Para is right it can be really dangerous for adults even without the added complications if you're upduffed.

Si1ver · 21/04/2018 08:49

Congratulations Para I really hope this works out for you.

WonkyDonk87 · 21/04/2018 08:56

Oh FFS. Did a pg test yesterday afternoon. Negative. Went out for the evening and then stupidly bin-dove and have been obsessing over an evap line all night. What a twat. Someone give my head a wobble please.

LG93 · 21/04/2018 08:58

Congratulations @para - I hope everything works out for you!

I had my first acupuncture session yesterday. I'm not sure I believe in all the Ying and Yang stuff but it was relaxing and the lady was lovely so I'll preserve. She said with my list of other/previous health conditions she's not surprised I've not been able to get pregnant as my body is apparently out of balance so she's going to do a few sessions to work on those before the fertility ones to give my body the best chance of coping with any pregnancies... We shall see. Day 17 here and ovusense still says no ovulation, but again I'm not surprised as been stressed with the move so expect it's either going to be late or absent all together this cycle.

Hope you're all well!

SoozC · 21/04/2018 09:01

FUCK, YAMMERS! I did a test to check and I'm pregnant!

I can't believe it. I'm a mix of ectasy and worry now that I'll mc again. Oh god.

Paranormalbouquet · 21/04/2018 09:07

@WonkyDonk87 we’ve all been there. When is FP due?

@SoozC congratulations!!!! This is great news. Fingers crossed we both avoid another miscarriage.

Justwaitingforaline · 21/04/2018 09:13

2 BFPs in two days!!

Congratulations Sooz!

WonkyDonk87 · 21/04/2018 09:18

Woo hoo!!! Go Sooz!!!

WonkyDonk87 · 21/04/2018 09:19

Para if it was another 33 day cycle then was due on Friday. Which means it's not settling down as I'd hoped. Balls.

DoAsDreamersDo · 21/04/2018 09:40

Sooz that’s amazing news! I’m so happy for you x I can understand why you’re worried, but we’ve all got everything crossed for you

starwishing · 21/04/2018 10:00

Congratulations guys! @Paranormalbouquet and @SoozC that's brilliant! I told you all whenever I join a thread on mn everyone gets pregnant! I'm like a lucky charm that never gets a bfp 😆 FP is due tomorrow according to my glow and ovia app. Not holding our hope though because I'm on cycle #0 (self declared) this month and not anticipating anything.

Before you ask why is next month cycle #1 it's because I had my laparoscopy this month and a little wash of the works down there. About four days later was my positive ovulation test so this month is probably a write off. Saying that we dtd three times during fertile week but I think the surgery will have killed it all off!

Bubblegum89 · 21/04/2018 10:07

Oh my god Sooz! I’m so happy for you, congratulations! Told you you wouldn’t still be stuck here with me on thread 127 ;) fingers crossed for a sticky one

Bubblegum89 · 21/04/2018 10:24

starwishing going on that assumption, I’m on cycle 3 (post sis/hycosy) and you are “apparently” more fertile in the 3 months after having one done. Still not preggo. Very much doubt that will change by this time next month. I wish I knew what was wrong, it drives me crazy every single day. At least if I knew what was wrong, I could find ways to help fix it but nope, had to be unexplained didn’t it 🙄

starwishing · 21/04/2018 10:40

@Bubblegum89 I'm not holding out hope. I just don't like the thought of being over three yes ttc so I've started again. It's like getting my virginity back 😆

LimpLettice · 21/04/2018 11:06

Soooooooz!!!! That might be the best news ever! So happy to hear this.

I'm waiting on a huge breakfast to fill the hole from too scared to eat this morning. 9 week scan now measuring dead on, good heartbeat, little legs starting to wave around. Trying so hard to relax now!

Bubblegum89 · 21/04/2018 11:08

Aww limp that’s so lovely :)

starwishing you never know, it might have helped you! It’s just me that’s plagued with bad luck

MynameisJune · 21/04/2018 11:09

@sooz that’s wonderful news, congratulations!

starwishing · 21/04/2018 11:13

@Bubblegum89 it's us that gets bad luck too. When my DS was born they told me I had to have an epidural because my labour was going too long and I needed sleep. Apparently it doesn't work only 1 in 500 cases... I had three and they didn't work!

Bubblegum89 · 21/04/2018 11:20

Oh no starwishing that’s awful. I was my sister’s birthing partner a few months ago and she ended up needing one because her labour was going on for so long but luckily here worked. Made me very grateful that my labour was fairly quick so all I was allowed to use was gas and air

WonkyDonk87 · 21/04/2018 12:12

Limp that's lovely ☺️ especially the bit about the little legs waving around 😂 enjoy your breakfast!

SoozC · 21/04/2018 12:32

Thanks, guys. I'm actually finding it hard to believe. After it took 20 cycles for the first bfp, I thought a second was years away. I can only hope it lasts this time.

starwishing · 21/04/2018 12:48

@LimpLettice when we first saw DS he had kicky little legs so we called him sparrow legs and he still gets that now sometimes (especially today when he's got shorts on)
