Thread 6... 😑

A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement. Please read the rules before posting!

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

  • Thou shalt not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shalt not give advice to others when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shalt not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shalt not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

And most importantly...

  • Thou shalt not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if you do so.

NEW RULE ALERT!

-Thou shalt not post pictures of positive pregnancy tests. We will be delighted to hear about it but no photos, please and thank you

Just send me your address!

I want them used.

24 weeks now

Si1ver · 29/03/2018 11:54

That's brilliant! 24 weeks is such a milestone. Well done.

MynameisJune · 29/03/2018 12:44

I’ve got an unexpected child free day off, so I headed to the local, large shopping centre. Unfortunately it’s full of heavily pregnant women and women with tiny newborns fml

MynameisJune · 29/03/2018 12:46

Oh pressed send too soon.

Fab news @limp I’m keeping everything crossed for you.

JaggyJobby · 29/03/2018 13:26

Haha @MynameisJune we can't escape them! There are also loads of women with buggies and cute babies here today, urgh. Just want to be on the couch with Netflix right now!

Paranormalbouquet · 29/03/2018 13:31

Waiting on my RMC Clinic. It’s in a little room at the back of the antenatal clinic. Sensitive and thoughtful isn’t it.

Bubblegum89 · 29/03/2018 14:10

Wow nimble 24 weeks already!

I’m CD12, no second lines on my opks and lots of cm but milky coloured. Usually have fertile cm by CD11 so looks like I’ll be ovulating late this month. Just as I thought my cycles were back to normal

Nimble 24 weeks! Wowsers.

Paranormal I moaned a little last month at epu at waiting in a room full of heavily pregnant ladies and babies whilst miscarrying, and the midwife told me infertility and recurrent miscarriage are also seen in the same place. The yhave begged for another waiting area but been told it just isn't a priority. Sucks. Hope it has gone well.

LexieJean · 29/03/2018 14:31

I thought the same thing @paranormal when at the gynaecologist dept for my tests- had to walk through the ultrasound and pre-natal care. Lots of big pregnant bellies. Made my empty womb feel great.

Bubblegum89 · 29/03/2018 15:00

Limp when I was under the fertility clinic, most of our appointments were in the actual clinic itself but a few of them were in outpatients. The part of outpatients we had to wait in was general gynaecology. There was a door with rooms off for the pregnant people and another for the infertile ones. So many ladies would come in rubbing their bumps and looking through scan pictures with their partners. I think it’s standard for pretty much every hospital just to bung everyone in together which I think is wrong and really unfair. Especially when half the pregnant women are stood outside the waiting room smoking while mugs like us are sat there unable to get pregnant or miscarrying and wishing we could do anything at all to have a baby

Well at least they were quick. Had basic bloods, clotting tests in 6 weeks. Listed for surgery, hopefully will get a date in a few weeks. Dildocam was the same as all the other dildocams- short cervix, scar tissue. They agree adhesions likely cause miscarriages and I’ll probably just have to hope future pregnancies implant in correct place. But will do their best to remove adhesions and will do the cervix surgery to make my chances of a safe pregnancy higher in future.

LexieJean · 29/03/2018 15:38

Well it sounds like it’s all progressing for you @paranormal do you feel ok about it all?

Paranormalbouquet · 29/03/2018 15:51

Other than how long it will be- if I need adhesions removed I’ll be given medication to suppress ovulation for 8 weeks post op. So looking at July/August at the earliest before I can try again; and that’s only if I get surgery in May.

MynameisJune · 29/03/2018 20:59

Another baby bomb today. So so many pregnant women at the minute.

SparkwoodAnd21 · 29/03/2018 22:07

Thanks @nimbleknitter, that’s really kind! Are you sure? 24 weeks wow!

Really hope you get a date through soon paranormal.

NimbleKnitter · 29/03/2018 22:36

Yup! They do taste pretty rank though!

Bubblegum89 · 29/03/2018 23:37

Have any of you ever experienced an anovulatory cycle? Or suspect you have? I’m on cd12 and I just don’t feel like I’m near ovulating. My cm is milky white, I am getting the faintest lines on my opks and I am not interested in having sex in the slightest. Usually by now my cm is at least watery and clear, I’m getting a decent (although not quite positive) line on my opks and I’m horny as hell. My cycles have been spot on for a few months now after having those weird couple of months where they went a bit mental, I really don’t think it’s a case of me ovulating late again. I’ve not had a month where I haven’t ovulated that I’m aware of so don’t know if any of the above are signs that I’m just not going to this month, I know it’s not uncommon to have an anovulatory cycle

@Bubblegum89 I had a cycle like that 2 months ago. Still not sure if I ovulated that cycle! I was just totally symptomless, it was weird. Sorry - not much help but I know how frustrating it was x

I'm CD12 today and couldn't be bothered with opks this month (I read they aren't as accurate for pcos sufferers?), so not sure where I'm at. Still waiting on hycosy appt and trying to focus on other things. Finding it harder to keep up with this thread at the mo! Congrats to @NimbleKnitter and happy to hear things are going well @LimpLettice - sorry if I've missed any other good news! X

Mamabooksbabynumber2 · 30/03/2018 08:06

Hi everyone just checking in. An reaching the end of cycle 14 and feeling a little fed up. My test results all cane back as normal whereas dp are abnormal shape and low count.

We have an appointment at a gynocologust for me which seems odd.

Shouldn't we be referred to a male fertility person?

Bubblegum89 · 30/03/2018 09:59

Thanks chook cd13 today and completely negative opk this morning, like not even a hint of a line. In my 18 months of ttc, I’ve only ovulated late once (ov’d early twice) and that was after coming off a two-week spell on norethisterone to delay my period. I was thinking maybe I had a dodgy batch of tests are these are from a new pack but my cm isn’t matching up either. Ffs. My OH goes away next weekend so I need to be in my FW soon-ish. Maybe it is just a case of I’m not ovulating this cycle. Which is fantastic because it’s month 2 of our last 3 months of ttc 😑

Also, my sister sent a picture my horrible excuse of a human cousin put up on instagram of her baby bump covered in stretch marks with the caption “I get so sad looking in the mirror at these stretch marks”. Ungrateful bitch. Not having a very good Friday lol

I am on cd 37 and no sign of anything. I'm really tired and my back aches a bit. I'm not sure whether I've ovulated or not. I had watery cm from cd 20 - cd24 but from results I'd day 21 test I can only gave ovulated after my test as it was still

Paranormalbouquet · 30/03/2018 14:57

@Bubblegum89 I’m not sure what’s going on with my cycle this month either but had ewcm very early. Now hard to tell after colposcopy.

@Mamabooksbabynumber2 fertility clinics usually see both partners together.

SoozC · 30/03/2018 18:21

Nimble, hope it all goes well and you enjoy the last few months! (I am insanely jealous as you're a couple of weeks behind where I would have been ;) )

Spent the day in bed (bliss) as first day of holidays. At least we dtd this morning, expecting fw sometime in the next week or so, haven't done it in ages (easily 10 days or more), so it's good to start the usual fw marathon up again!

WonkyDonk87 · 30/03/2018 20:06

I have also spent my Friday in bed.... self inflicted hangover of doom actually may have been still pissed most of the day Think I'm going to genuinely stay off the booze a bit longer as my sleep was better in the last few weeks.

Bubblegum89 · 30/03/2018 20:14

Wah just had a big glob of ewcm (2nd month in a row!) but still getting barely visible lines on my opks. I’m thinking the ewcm might mean I AM going to ovulate this cycle but just late? I dunno, 18 months of this shit and I still don’t know everything.

Glad you’re getting back to it *Sooz ;)
