Thread 6... 😑

A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement. Please read the rules before posting!

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

  • Thou shalt not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shalt not give advice to others when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shalt not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shalt not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

And most importantly...

  • Thou shalt not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if you do so.

NEW RULE ALERT!

-Thou shalt not post pictures of positive pregnancy tests. We will be delighted to hear about it but no photos, please and thank you

Thanks for explaining 'fp' - I thought it might be that! I much prefer it to Aunt Flo! I've had my ultrasound and apparently everything is normal which is reassuring. I do have a follicle on my right ovary but that’s nothing to worry about apparently. I felt a bit emotional as there were loads of mums to be with bumps waiting for their ultrasounds 😢 It didn't half sting. My OH (other half - is that right?!) hasn't really asked about it and I told him I had the apt. He REALLY doesn't want kids which means he shows no interest in this stuff. I do wish he cared more sometimes. But then at least I know he won't leave me if I can't have kids! Sorry if that's a stupid thing to say! I've got to find some light somewhere : )

JaggyJobby · 27/03/2018 17:51

@LookingAtTheStars89 happy birthday! Hope you have a great one! Hope FP doesn't show for you!

Mines is well on her way, dropped RHR, cramps and (since we are anti TMI) loads of huge stinking farts! Gutted about next FW, although I just checked and if I ovulated at CD27 this cycle tgen I could be in for a small change next cycle, ugh, bloody hope.

@Si1ver sorry to hear FP has arrived!

Haha @MynameisJune I'll actually be off volounteering during FW, so annoying haha, I do a good deed and it falls on my FW! 🤬

@minime2017 sorry to hear what you've been going through 😕

@Paranormalbouquet hope your apoointments go well!

MynameisJune · 27/03/2018 20:13

@jaggy no good deed goes unpunished! But you should get more karma points!

MynameisJune · 27/03/2018 20:19

@doasdreamersdo how many dpo are you?

Paranormalbouquet · 27/03/2018 20:23

Colposcopy done. As usual hard to find, looks scarred, had to grab it and pull it down to get a view (hurts like hell by the way!) but nothing to suggest I should delay my other surgery at least.

Having gained weight through comfort eating I feel like crap so treated myself to 2 nice tops and a pair of jeans that I can at least wear while I get back down to a size 12. Thought I deserved a treat after the painful procedure and avoiding food treats!

DoAsDreamersDo · 27/03/2018 20:38

June only about 11 🤦‍♀️ I think my bodies just messing with me because a part of me is hoping that I can book my holiday (even if I still hope to be pregnant instead) .

DoAsDreamersDo · 27/03/2018 20:40

Paranormal sounds as though you deserve to treat yourself after you colposcopy x

Bubblegum89 · 27/03/2018 22:46

Evening ladies, hope you’re all doing well. Ish anyway. I’m on CD 10 or 11 or something, don’t really care at the minute to be honest. My sister asked would I look after my baby niece overnight on Saturday as her and her bf want to have a well deserved night out with a few drinks but she doesn’t want to have the baby with them if they’ve been drinking so we’ll see if the constant screaming at 2am puts me off babies at all (I doubt it will lol)

JaggyJobby · 27/03/2018 23:07

@Paranormalbouquet sounds like a well deserved treat!

@DoAsDreamersDo I was going to have a holiday in Mexico last month which I never booked in the end because I was TTC at the time and if I got my golden ticket (did anyone actually use that phrase in the end, thread oldies?) I would have been too pregnant to fly. Well, here I am now, tumbleweed still floating about in my womb. Hope you don't get to go on this holiday you have planned as you'll get a BFP, but do not put it off otherwise haha!

JaggyJobby · 27/03/2018 23:12

Still no FP, expect it tomorrow as I'm going to be travelling all day, and what woman doesn't want to spend a day on buses and a plane (note, NOT on the way back from Mexico 😭) cramping and bleeding while on an emotional rollercoaster, deeply jealous of all the stressed out travelling parents with screaming children.

Also ate a whole bag of sweets (71g of sugar apparently, I rarely eat sugary stuff) so now I am wide away with a head ache and have to get up in a few hours! And the dog is snoring.

DoAsDreamersDo · 28/03/2018 09:50

I think my FP is on it’s way because my rhr has dropped again (it dropped last week and then steadily rose until this morning). If I’m not pregnant then I want my period to start today so that I can get my holiday booked. I hate living in limbo and have just had a rant with my OH about it (I suppose that’s another sigh that I’m due on!)

Bubblegum89 · 28/03/2018 10:21

Does anyone take vitamin b12? I’ve just started taking it because I’m fed up of feeling tired all the time and I know it’s suppsed to help but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen some people say it’s messed with their cycle? I’ve onky just got my cycle back to normal and don’t really want it to start going weird again

OP posts:
Bubblegum89 · 28/03/2018 10:21

Only* not onky lol

OP posts:
MynameisJune · 28/03/2018 10:26

@bubble I didn’t take B12 but it was in my B complex and I’m sure the B complex also moved my ovulation out.

JaggyJobby · 28/03/2018 10:41

Just noticed the lady next to me on the bus is reading an article: "Menopause at 11 - now I'm pregnant" haha. Half gives me hope (and congrats to the lady) and half makes me feel terrible haha. Back to my nature magazine (where I have been reading about zebra fish mating - can't escape pregnancy stories!!!!).

JaggyJobby · 28/03/2018 10:46

@DoAsDreamersDo its my dropping RHR that has me now waiting for FP and not even thinking about POASing. Even so, hoping FP holds off a bit so that my FW will move to a time I'm actually woth DH!

@MynameisJune I used to take B12 but didn't notice any difference. I think its now in my multivitamins. My L-Thyroxine tablets have made a huge difference to my energy levels though, no longer get an after lunch slump haha. So my problem must have been my thyroid.

Paranormalbouquet · 28/03/2018 10:52

@Bubblegum89 I just take folic acid, 5mg a day and vit d. I believe b12 will only help with tiredness if you are b12 deficient but maybe get it checked? It probably has been already. Definitely gearing up to ovulate early, have cramps now. Makes me sad not to try although I know I’m best to wait and have my investigations first. Don’t think I could try anyway- not supposed to have sex after a colposcopy and it would probably hurt me!

Si1ver · 28/03/2018 11:03

I'm currently taking;

Folic acid, vit D, B12 complex, fish oils, DHEA (a panic buy after my bad AMH results)

Before ovulation I also take epo and post ov I take Angus caster.

JaggyJobby · 28/03/2018 12:44

Travelling so lots of time. Searched "14DPO RHR drop" and came across someone who had that and then became pregnant. Her chart looked totally different from mines but I naturally then looked up a due date ARGH 👹 All signs point to FP starting asap and yet I'm still clutching at straws. Wish our bodies could just tell us right after ovulatulion and spare us all this rubbish.

LexieJean · 28/03/2018 13:01

Oh @jaggy keeping everything crossed for you!

DoAsDreamersDo · 28/03/2018 14:24

Jaggy I completely agree! I wish our bodies just told us straight away so we weren’t knicker watching all the time at this time of the month.

My rhr has gone back up a bit now. It’s been all over the place in March!

Bubblegum89 · 28/03/2018 14:33

Thanks ladies, I’m taking any vitamins that say helps with tiredness because it’s not normal to be this knackered all the time lol my diet of crisps and yogurts isn’t very vitamin-rich haha

Ooh sounds promising jaggy :)

Pinkemi · 28/03/2018 16:38

oh you guys! Damn you post a lot! I forget to read this thread for a couple of days and I have about 4 pages to read. haha!

Things are ticking along here.. I am convinced that I ovulated whilst my OH was away.. and that we haven't shagged enough in that period to expect a pregnancy this month. Normally this would stress me out.. but this month Im just like.. meh whatever. I'm trying to focus more on myself then on baby making.. coz its just taken over my life recently.

So.. I am currently the biggest I have been in a LONG time.. and most of my wardrobe now doesn't fit. I'm pretty sure this is what is helping my meh whatever mood as I am more focused on trying to shift the lbs then anything else. I really don't enjoy looking like im 4... who am i kidding.. 6 months pregnant without actually being it!

I re-started Beachbody's Insanity last night.. (now keep nearly getting cramp in my calves coz they are so tight) and trying to keep up with the gruelling schedule that it has! (pretty much an hours workout 6 days a week!) I tried it about 4 years ago and managed to get to week 4 before falling off the rails. Im going to try and stick to it for the whole 9 weeks.. and if I miss a workout not stress too much about it.. and only allow myself 1 missed workout a week.

I gotta do this!

SoozC · 28/03/2018 16:56

Hey Jaggy, I used the "golden ticket" thing at the end of the first thread! No-one's used it since then though, but I always thought I'd use it again if I did get another bfp. Fingers crossed for your RHR - mine meant fp was on its way.

Bubble, I did a cycle about 18 months ago when I took B12 but my fp was delayed by about 5 days and I got stupidly excited. God, if I had been preggers then, I'd have a 7-month-old or something. sigh

Si1ver · 28/03/2018 17:29

Someone explain the golden ticket to me. That's fine straight over my head.
