78th day of no period....

As the title suggests, I haven't had a period since the 18th October. I came off cerazette at the start of June and have had irregular cycles since but this is by far the longest.

DH and I are TTC and I last took a pregnancy test at the start of December so I'm fairly confident I'm not pregnant (we were both sick after that and didn't have any inclination to DTD).

We finally DTD on 26th and 27th December and yesterday I had really sore breasts and some cramps and EWCM in the morning for the first time in a long time, but we only managed to DTD late last night. Im mildly cramping this morning and have watery CM. These long cycles are so confusing! Is there a chance we might've caught ovulation this month? How long should I wait before testing?

I hope we are all looking back on this chat in a years time and remember how stressed and frustrated we were... and hopefully all have babies! Tonight I have a small bit of thick sticky CM, not sure what this mean... my bits seem to have a mind of their own 😑

Loz604 · 12/02/2018 22:22

Me too tinker 😊

Re cm- I google everything ha!

So is there anything (other than the baby) you are looking forward to during pregnancy/ after? I personally hope it’s true that you lose some boob after breastfeeding. Kinda fed up with not being able to find any nice bras on the high street 😂

SpadesOfGlory · 12/02/2018 23:23

Ahhh I was at the cinema and missed all the introductions!

I'm Rachael, 28 and I'm from the North too Tinker! Lovely to meet you all Grin

Loz604 · 12/02/2018 23:39

What did you watch Rachael?

SpadesOfGlory · 12/02/2018 23:43

The Greatest Showman...it has the best soundtrack! Love me a musical Smile

I feel your pain at not being able to find nice bras on the high street btw...currently a 32GG Blush sincerely hope that they deflate if I ever get a chance to breastfeed!!

HA I’m GG too!

Oh I want to see that. My DP told me to pick a film and when I suggested that he asked me to pick another 😂 I told him ‘why bother asking me then?’ And then he felt bad so we went to see 50 shades ha! Would you believe we were the only people in the cinema apart from a man sat on his own!

Tinker315b · 13/02/2018 08:13

haha brilliant @SpadesOfGlory small world Smile

I'm looking forward to maternity leave for one and decorating a nursery lol, not so much looking forward to the birthing bit tho. xx

Loz604 · 13/02/2018 10:00

Ah maternity leave 😃😃 me too although part of me feels once the baby arrives it’s not going to be quite as relaxing!

Would you find out the sex of the baby before it’s born? I know DP would want to but I’m impartial. I’m not strongly apposed not to so kinda feel I should let DP have his way as it’s his child too

LifeOfRiley63 · 13/02/2018 10:22

Morning lovelies!
BFN this morning Sad I feel exactly the same as I did yesterday but I'm getting mega cramps in my lady area today so perhaps AF is on her way Sad My nipples looked brown this morning and my backs been aching so I'm really confused. Might do another FRER at the weekend. Confused

@Loz604 Ooh this is a good question! I look forward to the moment I've given birth and they said "It's a GIRL/BOY!" as I think that would be the biggest and bestest surprise in the world!

I think I'll also enjoy having an excuse for being fat(ter) too haha. I look forward to being able to breastfeed (if I can) and having that bond. And burning all those calories while doing it haha!! Currently a 38G so God knows how much bigger they'll get!

I think right now I'm just looking forward to going round my family and friends and telling them that I'm pregnant - that would be the priceless stuff to me. Or taking the baby in to work, a couple of my colleagues have had babies and I love seeing them!

Tinker315b · 13/02/2018 10:52

No I think I would like it a surprise!

ah no @LifeOfRiley63 Just stay positive, fingers crossed AF is on her way and you can get planning for the months ahead! Just relax and yes do another test even in a weeks time. My doctor yesterday told me to stop testing as im just setting myself up for disappointment but its soo hard not too! Easier said than done Sad
I have zero symptoms today of AF even appearing.

I cant wait to have a baby bump and picking a pram Smile

raraa · 13/02/2018 11:40

Another Northern Ireland Poster here ✌🏼 I'm Sarah! I'm cycle day 54 or if you could the weird spotting I had in Jan as a weird af then I'm cycle day 32 and had a weird 3 days of brown spotting that's now stopped 🙄 This is so frustrating! I've had blood tests from my dr already and they've come back negative so I presume I'm definitely not pregnant? I'm normally like clockwork, you can set your watch by my cycle.

SpadesOfGlory · 13/02/2018 11:43

Ah sorry Riley. I'm so fed up of seeing those stark white tests too....Id give anything for even a hint of a 2nd line!

I'm CD 31 again and no symptoms of AF flow starting at all. Boobs totally normal and the cramping I felt last week is gone. Pretty sure I'm out but haven't tested yet.

Great question about what we're looking forward to...i dream about it all the time! Any child we have will be the first grandchild on both sides so I'm most excited about telling our parents cause I know they'll be over the moon! Also...maternity leave Grin

Nice to speak to you Sarah! Were you on a pill before this @raraa ?

Tinker315b · 13/02/2018 12:01

Aww that's really lovely Rachael Smile I just kinda feel because im recently married people are expecting me to have been pregnant before now!
Quite upsetting sometimes as a few people constantly go on to me asking am I not pregnant yet or if I say oh I feel sick they tell me to do a test and I feel like punching them saying if only you knew!

Today I have decided to stop Agnus Castus and just leave nature to do its thing as pre pill I had regular cycles!

raraa · 13/02/2018 12:25

@Tinker315b no I haven't been on any contraception for years, my youngest will be 3 in July and prior to having her I had taken the implant out 6 months prior. All of the above didn't even affect my cycles.

I'm looking forward to carrying a "normal" pregnancy. My eldest was a "hidden" pregnancy, I didn't know I was pregnant until I was 6 months gone, was having normal af every month throughout hers, my youngest arrived at 29+4. I miscarried in between both my daughters. so that's my dream, To know about and enjoy a full healthy pregnancy.

SpadesOfGlory · 13/02/2018 12:39

I'm recently married too! Well, 18 months ago. But everyone still seems to be expecting news from us asap! I know how you feel, I just wish I could tell at people "I want to be pregnant as much as you want me to and we're trying but it's just not happening!!!!!"

I need to spellcheck my posts Grin

LifeOfRiley63 · 13/02/2018 12:42

Snap @Spades
We've been married 15 months and even before we got married my MIL was dropping hints like bricks about babies!
We've told her we're TTC just to shut her up haha! x

Tinker315b · 13/02/2018 12:47

Omg @raraa that's crazy! Very sorry to hear about your miscarriage, hoping you fall pregnant and have a healthy pregnancy Smile

Exactly... some people just don't realise that the couple could be struggling etc! It will happen in good time, hopefully sooner rather than later. And the people who put pressure on me will be the last to be told haha!

Karigan1 · 13/02/2018 12:51

We only just started trying. Years ago I told my partner if he wants kids he needs to think about it now. He just has to wait until I turned 40 to decide he wanted one didn’t he!

SpadesOfGlory · 13/02/2018 12:51

I made the mistake of telling my mum when I came off the pill and she got so excited cause she got pregnant with me within a couple of weeks of stopping the pill and thinks it happens so quickly for everyone!! She doesn't bug me about it but every so often she'll ask if I've anything to tell her (wink) lol

I would just love to get a bfp tomorrow and surprise DH on Valentine's day but somehow I don't think that will be happening...

OP posts:
Karigan1 · 13/02/2018 12:53

Omg! It valentines tomorrow? Damn I haven’t even got hima card.

Loz604 · 13/02/2018 13:30

We are also not telling parents. Both mothers would live a grandchild and Dp mother drops subtle hints. She’d just be too excited if we told her we are ttc.

I too haven’t bought anything for valentines. We are going away at the weekend so that is enough isn’t it? Although I bet he gets me some flowers- then I’ll feel bad x

Loz604 · 13/02/2018 13:31

I’ll cook his tea while he watches the football in peace?!

Karigan1 · 13/02/2018 13:40

I’m not telling anyone as at 40 it might not happen at all!
