5 days late... BFN

Hi, me and DP are TTC. Last month I had a BFN and AF showed like clockwork CD31. This month I had spotting a week after OV that lasted around 2-3 days that was light pink then brown at the very end. I have been off the pill since Aug 16 (only TTC 2 cycles) and my AF got into a 31 day cycle by about Jan 17. I've never ever had spotting before and now I am 5 days late.. however I keep getting BFN's! I did a FRER this morning and there maybe is a real squinter, too faint for a camera to pick up. But it's really getting me down that it's still BFN/No AF. If AF is coming then that's fine I wish she would hurry up and get on with it, but I've had none of my usual symptoms. I tracked OV with OPK's so I know when I ovulated so I'm not ovulating late. I'm not overly stressed and as I've stated already my periods are normally like clockwork! Other symptoms I've had are lots of watery CM, extreme tiredness, food aversions (too early?) achey back and dull aches in pelvic region.

Did anyone get a BFP later on? Is there still hope? I've read lots online that BFP's can take around 6 weeks for some people but on here it's like if you didn't get it on the day of your missed period or before then it's gonna be a BFN Sad

I tracked my CM and that’s how I knew I was pregnant. When AF is due, you essentially ‘dry up’, so the fact that you’re getting lots of CM is a good sign that you might be pregnant.
It could just be that your HCG levels are not high enough for a test to pick up yet. Everyone is different so give it a few more days and if nothing, try and fight for an appointment with your go xx

@peterpanwendy. Late by two days and bfn this morning :-( Any luck with you?

peterpanwendy · 12/12/2017 12:11

@Mrstobe90 well that's a good sign! Thank you :)

@peterpanwendy. It's so frustrating! I'm still holding on to the hope that i ovulated late :-/

LookingAtTheStars89 · 12/12/2017 12:17

I'm just worried that I'm going to go back to being irregular, which is a ttc nightmare!

peterpanwendy · 12/12/2017 17:13

@LookingAtTheStars89 even if you ovulated on time I've read lots about HCG and can take longer to show in some women (hopefully me!)

I feel like I am starving ALL the time. Is that a sign of early pregnancy? Ive also has a dull ache in my ovary-area today. Not painful but almost like I knew it was there if that makes sense.

@peterpanwendy. I am having the same symptoms! I've eaten loads the last few days. I've also been very windy lol!

LookingAtTheStars89 · 12/12/2017 18:49

Who knows what is a symptom lol!

BusterBluth21 · 12/12/2017 20:21

I've done another test (boots own brand now) and still negative and no sign of AF. So frustrating - just want one either way!

LookingAtTheStars89 · 12/12/2017 20:29

It is frustrating. You just look at that blank strip like "What the hell?" I was kind of hopeful but the more women tell me they are late with a bfn the mess likely I think it is I will get a bfp :-(

LookingAtTheStars89 · 13/12/2017 09:54

@peterpanwendy How's it going?

@BusterBluth21. How's it going?

BusterBluth21 · 13/12/2017 10:19

No sign of AF! What about you?

LookingAtTheStars89 · 13/12/2017 10:25

Same here!

peterpanwendy · 13/12/2017 16:34

Hi all, not great here either. Went to the docs today cos I had pain in my tummy so thought that's the last straw I need to be seen! I hate the docs so was very anxious. She was most unhelpful! Kind but unhelpful. So I'm still in limbo. Thought I had so many symptoms and feelings but now I'm not so sure if I just have them normally anyway.

Still NO period!

LookingAtTheStars89 · 13/12/2017 16:50

@peterpanwendy Didn't she give you any helpful information? Still no flo here for me, not even a spec!

peterpanwendy · 13/12/2017 16:53

@LookingAtTheStars89 nope just that she thinks I'm probably not pregnant despite symptoms and to test again next week. Brill Hmm the pain is IBS which crops up every now and then. And a high blood pressure which is always good Sad

OP posts:
peterpanwendy · 13/12/2017 16:54

She kept palming me off with 'sometimes you just skip a period' and didn't really wanna hear any of my symptoms

OP posts:
LookingAtTheStars89 · 13/12/2017 16:58

@peterpanwendy. It's a tricky one. I guess you just keep testing until flo comes? That's what I'm planning to do. Im still dtd every 2-3 days just in case.

peterpanwendy · 13/12/2017 17:27

@LookingAtTheStars89 gonna use my last FRER at the weekend then not buy any more unless my next months period is late/a now show. I'm entering my 'FW' tomorrow (if AF was on time) so just gonna go ahead as normal but not stress or do OPK's :/ x

Figgygal · 13/12/2017 17:29

I was 11 days late this month no reason for it just completely random cycle fuckery it's maddening when ttc and terrifying when not.

peterpanwendy · 13/12/2017 18:15

@Figgygal oh how frustrating :( I'm 9 days late now.. CD40. It's ridiculous!

OP posts:
LookingAtTheStars89 · 13/12/2017 18:16

@peterpanwendy. Yeah I'm going to do a FRER at the weekend. I know this is a dumb question but what happens to your ovulation if you don't get a period? Do you just ovulate again randomly?

peterpanwendy · 13/12/2017 18:17

I don't have a clue and it's stressing me out  @LookingAtTheStars89

OP posts:
LookingAtTheStars89 · 13/12/2017 18:34

@peterpanwendy. Yeah me too!
