Seeing Dr Shehata - diagnosed with Hypothyroidism and aggressive NK cells
Currently on cycle 2 of Pred and week 6 of Thyroxine
CD10, expecting to ovulate at the end of the week 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

I went to see Mr S privately as the waiting time on NHS was very long and you might not even see him but someone from his team. The tests on NHS for NK cells are very basic but privately he will do a lot more tests for you. If you have the money then go to see him privately as you will get a lot better care and NHS don’t do intralipids. Let me know if you have any more questions

I’m on cycle 2, day 10 so gearing up for another more TTC this week...

@megan234 i hope you are okay. I thought Mr S scanned at 6 weeks, is this not so?

@tomekan I think what Megan has said is correct. If I hadn’t been so fed up of all the time that’s gone by during my 4 losses and not wanting to face a battle to get referred to Mr S, I might have tried to go through the NHS but I just didn’t have the strength. It is so expensive though!! I think we had a month to wait for our first appointment.

@DaniMERL I’m fine thank you, trying to keep busy everyday, it’s not easy. I hope that you will get BFP this month 🤞x

My nhs RMC scan on Tuesday was good- saw the heartbeat! I was measuring about 6w
Dr s usually doesn't like to scan until week 7
So my next scan is with him on Wednesday
I'm really nervous for that one as 2 of my losses happened just before 7 weeks- but trying to stay positive

@Megan234 when is your scan? Hope all goes well for you!

My NHS scan is booked for the 17th sep and then another scan 4 days later with Mr S. I’m very nervous as well but trying not to think about it too much.

@Megan234 fx for you ! I know the wait is so hard! I get pangs of anxiety a lot but just try and take it a day at a time...

@DaniMERL thank you - I hope so! It's just very difficult to get my hopes up- I'm too scared it can happen again- especially as in my last 2 MMCs I had easy reassurance scans and saw good strong heartbeats- so I know all too well that things could still end badly at anytime. It's just a horrible feeling not being able to control anything! I'm basically living scan to scan! But trying as hard as I can to take each day that passes as a blessing!

@Zarala I know it. I’ve had so many very disappointing scans. Too many to count. Always distressing to see the heartbeat and then not. It does make sense to wait longer for a scan but of course, when it comes down to it the wait is excruciating so we are always going to want to try and see something as soon as possible. Even if this isn’t the one, we are on the right path now.

I also totally cut out caffeine which I think was exacerbating my worry levels!

It's hard to get excited about this pregnancy tho- just waiting for each scan to reveal what's going on...

Also @Megan234 are you on the cyclogest?
I don't know if that's the culprit but I have had the Worst gas ever! Thankfully my dh is away this week for work - hoping it will subside by the time he returns! 🙈😂

@zarala Yeah I take cyclogest, I’m the same have more gas then normal. Do you have cramps every day? I haven’t had any for couple of days and not sure if this is normal?

@Megan234 no I don't have cramps every day- but I have them on and off... I think every pregnancy is different tho - so I don't Think you should worry too

Had my scan in Epsom today with Professor akekor- Shehata is away for a conference.
Scan was great! He is such an amazing man- was probably the most detailed scan I've ever had! And I've had a lot of scans!
We saw and heard heartbeat - which is great- but just the way he explained everything is really good and he's really reassuring. They want me back in 2 weeks for a follow up.
I also had my second round of intralipids and actually met some lovely ladies in there! Last time no one wanted to make conversation so it was nice to chat!
Feel a lot better but the professor said once we pass 10 weeks the risk is almost totally gone- so just have to wait until then!!!

Great news and sounds so positive. I can imagine you still feel so nervous.
I’m only on day 2 of the medication and so far so good except for more heart palpitations.
We did all we could on the TTC front so we shall see!
I guess I will test again next Friday and we have an appointment with Mr S on Monday 24th, assuming the HPT will be negative.

Why assuming negative @DaniMERL ?? Fx it works out for you!!!
I found cutting out caffeine really reduced the impact of the steroids...maybe you can try that ?

@zarala I don’t know, it’s just so hard to have a positive feeling about all of this. I will try! I absolutely hate this 10 day wait, it’s just awful.
I’m doing fairly well on cutting out caffeine and try to stick to one strong coffee in the morning max. Some days that goes wrong but I also notice a difference. Thanks for the tip. Keep us posted with your news x

@DaniMERL I know what you mean- this whole journey is so bloody hard.

I definitely have found a massive difference without caffeine - I order decaf now as I really miss it and I drink rooibos tea- so far it's been ok!

So it’s a BFN for me and I’m not really feeling it so I doubt it just a case of being only 10dpo.
I have a follow up app on Monday with Mr S, he had already given me info on Superovulation.
Anyone experienced this? It’s only been 2 months but my AMH was slightly on the low side and he seemed concerned about us cracking on with things. It all means a lot more money though. Feeling meh.

Oh another question. I was given a password to log in to certain parts of the website but it asks for a username as well. Does anyone know about this and can help me please?

Very unhelpfully I emailed the clinic stating the above and even quoted my password to them, only to reply quoting the same password back at me without acknowledging the question. I have to say, their ability to read and answer questions is completely shoddy.

I'm Sorry about the bfn- never a nice thing to see! But who knows! You're not out until af shows!
I have no idea about dr's super ovulation plan - so can't be helpful there!
But yes all the money shelled out on this journey makes me want to cry ! Every 2 weeks going for scans and then intralipids every 4 weeks is just 💰 💰 💰!
It makes me realise how lucky I was and how much I took my first pregnancy for granted !
I'm sorry the nurses suck at responding- I was never given any access for the website either? Maybe I will ask when I go back in on Tuesday.
I have had emails ignored but when I go in- they are generally very friendly and insist that they are there for us and encourage to email any time we want! So 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hi,
I sent a bit of a cross email to them on thurs evening and I have to say I was suprised at the sudden barage of apologetic emails and voicemails I suddenly received on Friday morning! It was a very polite email but I honestly think it jerked them into action as the responses were lovely but only what I would have expected in the first place. I’m glad that I spoke up anyway.
So we see Mr S on Monday and I don’t know for sure but I think we may ask to try the current regime for 1 more month before opting for SuperO as this regime seems a LOT more expensive and 3 months is our average conception time so it would be a shame to throw in the towel after 2 months. I may be talked around though. My slightly low AMH may be a reason to push things along a bit quicker.

I'm doing ok thanks. 9 weeks on Monday!
I have my scan on Tuesday and just want to know if everything is still ticking along...
My latest mc was at 9w4- so this is a big one for me- once I reach 10weeks I think I will feel a lot better
I am also looking huge! My belly is definitely showing! Which is crazy- I don't know how I'm supposed to hide this for another month!
I've started getting nausea as well this week which I'm hoping is a good sign as I haven't really had many symptoms at all.

But so far so good. Just trying to take it a scan at a time...but also starting to feel more real and exciting...

Let us know how it goes on Monday and what you decide to do....waiting another month makes sense if that's your usual conception time...and fx it works out for you!!!

We have just left the clinic with another 4 months supply of drugs and no plan to start SuperO as yet. It’s good news but I really wish there was a magic wand to speed up the conception. When it doesn’t happen each month it starts to feel as though it never will despite the fact we’ve not had issues of yet! Need to relax and let nature take its course...

@zarala @DaniMERL it’s not a good news, Mr Shehata’s plan hasn’t worked for me again. 😢
