The bleeding appears to be tailing off. It's definitely turned more brown than red in colour. I might ask for advice when I go to epu on Thursday. It is quite a small circuits class and the person who runs it is also my personal trainer. She obviously knew I was pregnant and knows what happened. I feel slightly nervous about seeing her, and I think part of me wants to get it over with! I also know I won't be able to go during half term, as we have booked a trip away.

Springersprung · 23/05/2017 20:18

I have very boring taste in cars so would go for the A4. DH got a Peugeot 2008 a few months ago and I love it. Want one of my own now!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 23/05/2017 20:18

Good luck at EPU springer I hope they can confirm all is clear in there. My bleeding went brown, then back to bright red for a bit then brown again and now appears to have almost completely tailed off. I think speaking to your PT is a good idea.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 23/05/2017 20:19

Buzz we have an ancient fiat punto that is dying.. so need a proper family car really. Fiat is going to be kept for dirty jobs like going to the tip etc - if it doesn't fail the MOT.

HbH · 23/05/2017 20:29

Oooh Grumpy Audi shopping sounds very exciting! Is a TT teenager/baby friendly?! (Genuine question... i assumed they only had two seats!!)

There's also nothing better than bouncy new pillows! I try to sneak new ones in every 6 months 😳 It does mean that i have a bit of a grave yard of old ones that aren't really knackered but don't meet my standards! Not really sure what to do with them!

Circuits sound full on springer but if you're feeling physically ready & think it might be goodnfornyou mentally it could be worth a try... you can always bow out if it's too much

TheGrumpySquirrel · 23/05/2017 20:35

Hb I think they have 4... must check that lol. I know some of the other coupés do have 4. I won't get a convertible version.

confusedat23 · 23/05/2017 20:41

I'm still crying watching the news 😞... me and my dad are watching Brian Cox on Friday at Wenbley Arena and we have both said we feel uneasy!

Grumpy could you get the TT and a cheaper family car?

DH and I both drive Fiestas but I have a nice shiny new 5 door one which I will have to trade for DH beat up old black one once Noah is in daycare as DH will be carting him about! Wink

HB I am glad i'm not the only person getting new pillows every 6 months!! I love the big bouncy ones but DH likes flat pillows!

I'm glad the bleeding is getting better Springer

Jupiter what is that pillow like? i got a slumberdown V pillow on sale for £12 but I keep changing how many pillows i want to sleep with lol

confusedat23 · 23/05/2017 20:42

Also Grumpy yeah TT comes with 4 seats... I also think you can put a baby seat in the front

Mummyme87 · 23/05/2017 21:39

Felt rubbish all day, ate like a horse, so hot as well. Apparently we are not getting air con for another 2-3weeks 🙄

Hoping for a better sleep tonight

otters2017 · 23/05/2017 22:09

So much to catch up on! Great scan pics bikerchick and hb and cute baby bumps confused and natur

Hugs to those who need it, sorry to hear that some of you are really having a rough time. This group is absolutely amazing and the support has been invaluable. I like the sound of going to Sardinia to grumpys house, drinking prosecco with our babies.

I had tears reading confused 's post about the thread not stopping until everyone had their little ones in their arms. I hope it happens for everyone soon.

Loved all the stories about meeting DH/OH. I really feel like I know everyone on here! We are another internet dating success. Hit it off pretty much straight away, got married in 2015 and desperately trying for a baby since. We were both in long term relationships before and for various reasons they weren't right. Am glad I met the love of my life but feel it's a bit late in life especially when thinking about fertility.

It's day 20 and I'm still getting flashing smileys. Think I'll stop testing and just dtd when we can and see what happens.

Watching the news but have to switch it off as it's just too upsetting.

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 23/05/2017 22:43

So I've been doing cheapie OPKs the last couple of days to try and get an idea of what's going on with my cycle. This evening I have a faint line so I'm expecting it to darken up tomorrow which will fingers crossed mean I'm back on track. Not planning to get pregnant now until August (as we wouldn't be passed the first trimester in Africa so it's a bit risky) but it's good to know.

I do feel an urge to be pregnant again which I suppose is natural. DH and I were at the mall this evening which is where the clinic we visited was so it was a bit deja vu like. We decided that next time we won't go to the docs until after 6 weeks have passed as that way we will hopefully get a good scan first time round. DH wanted me to wait until 8 weeks but I'd be too anxious I think.

Sorry some of you are feeling lousy. I hope it passes really soon. Take care of yourselves.

Ps - completely agree with everyone - I love this thread. So glad I started it. You girls are the best. I've never had one of those girly WhatsApp groups before so this is my equivalent!

Pps - if anyone wants to join a WhatsApp group I am definitely up for that 😃

Hb you could donate the pillows to the dogs trust/cats protection league! They'd really appreciate it!

So, my lower abdomen has been really tight and a bit painful all day today. My left hip has been sore, felt a bit sick. Definitely not symptom spotting...... But now also have a really sore throat, so maybe I'm just coming down with something.

On a bus home, very grumpy because it's so late. Hope we wake up tomorrow without today's shock.

confusedat23 · 24/05/2017 06:07

Eat your way through it Mummy! Tbh i don't think there was a time I wasn't eating in the first 12 weeks lol...

Otters it might be worth keeping up with cheapy OPKs just so you know when to test... sorry the CBD isn't playing ball!

Glad everything is getting back on track Parsnips August isn't that far away in the grand scheme of things although I know it feels like forever!

Oh no Dancing could it possibly be flu?

There is a guy at work who's daughter has got Slapped Cheek at the moment and I dunno if I should go to the doctors to get my immunity checked... i don't know if a colleagues daughter is enough reason to get that done though lol

Is anyone else getting a bit sick of work atm? With my travelling time I work 12 hour days and so i've arranged my holiday so i have a day off like every other week and from september its every week for 2 weeks and then dropping down to only working 3 days a week until i'm off but tbh I could do with less hours now! Lol

Seven0fNine · 24/05/2017 06:59

Ooh that's very good confused! I like how organised you are.

I've been struggling with my pillows this week... Didn't think to buy new ones! DH also loves old, flat pillows...weird!

Although I've been sleeping such a long time this week. Falling asleep at 9pm then sleeping right through to 6. Just did my last first response test and the test line is very dark so hoping that's good sign.

Sounds promising dancing

parsnips I'll join a WhatsApp group with you!! X

confusedat23 · 24/05/2017 07:12

Sorry meant to say I don't have a girly watsapp either so i'm happy for that Grin

confusedat23 · 24/05/2017 07:14

Seven I always wait until the expensive pillows are on sale on Amazon for cheap! DH is a pillow destroyer so i refuse to pay full price and within a month end up with a pillow so miss-shapen that it is really deemed useless by anyone else but him! Lol

DancingUnicorn · 24/05/2017 07:24

Yeah, me too on the WhatsApp.

Confused I'm really hoping it's not flu. I don't have a fever, I've been temping so know it's been pretty level. Also, I don't know about the slapped cheek thing... maybe phone the mw to ask? Would it be possible to ask for fewer hours? A 12 hour day sounds rubbish. :(

Seven glad you've been sleeping well. I remember how well I slept when I was pregnant. So hoping I get it back soon, I could do with a decent night's sleep.

Tigger83 · 24/05/2017 07:32

Morning all well I think my opk is finally negative I think! Goodness knows what's gone on there. I'm taking my dpo from the clear blue I think so that makes me 5dpo.

We're starting to look at cars we're going for a Mitsubishi phev. I've always wanted an Audi TT grumpy!

buzzmoon · 24/05/2017 07:58

Morning all :) only 3 days till the long weekend 🎉
Deffo up for whatsapp, I always have this terrible feeling that someone I know is reading this 😱

Haha tigger you sound pleased that it's negative, you can finally stop dtd after going at it like rabbits for so long 😂

confused I'd deffo ask your mw if it's possible. I'm so paranoid though, I'm going to ask for strep b because my sil's friend lost her baby at 20 weeks because of it :( :( also I had like 2 slices of chorizo on holiday and now convinced I've got listeria 😂
God what is it with men being pillow destroyers! His side are ridiculously misshapen, it's like he squishes them on purpose and they are covered in gross man sweat and dribble 😂 I'm so sick of work! And ditto on the 12 hour days with travelling. Such a good idea using leave like that to make your weeks shorter! I was hoping to save all mine up though for next year so don't know. What's the V pillow like?

dancing really hope they are symptoms and you're not coming down with something! When will you be testing?

parsnips August will be here before you know it. When's your Africa trip?

TheGrumpySquirrel · 24/05/2017 07:59

Very up for whatsapp! Parsnips do you want to set it up and then we can all PM you our numbers?

I understand about waiting to see the doc next time. I think I'm going to wait till 6 weeks to self refer to the maternity unit and then ask for a scan to confirm heartbeat. I'll try to get another scan at 8 weeks because there is no way I want to go through this again, especially with an embryo the size of 8 weeks (or more). If things go wrong again I'll push for immediate surgery.

Tigger only 5 days to test day! I've got everything crossed for you and dancing - sorry you are feeling crappy dancing - when is test day?

Seven I also slept brilliantly when pregnant (right up until the last few days when things had already gone wrong). I guess it's different for everyone.

Well my CBFM OPK test stick this morning gave a "Low" reading which was reassuring in a way since my IC preg tests are still positive but it appears not to have been confused by any stray hormones, it's looking for LH and oestrogen so fingers crossed it works as it should. My IC OPK only have a very faint LH line, which is normal for me throughout my cycle. My hair has started falling out more which makes sense as the preg hormones fade.

I've looked at dates and depending how long it takes my cycle to come back, I think I want to wait till next cycle in order to have a real AF first (in my head a fresh new womb lining... not sure if that's even relevant but it feels "cleaner" to me) and also I worked out that an end June / start of July conception date would mean that I wouldn't need to tell work before pay negotiations at year end, but an end May conception date I would. Also I have a work trip to Rome in mid June which would be nice to be able to relax and have some wine etc (my boss is coming too) rather than potentially doing a FRER every morning / freaking out over a new BFP. Having said that I'll probably change my mind again tomorrow. Cons of waiting are that baby will be a month younger on our summer holiday next year (4mos old instead of 5) and that I'll probably only get 5 months off instead of 6 as I really need to be back at work by September.

HbH · 24/05/2017 08:09

Ha seven & confused my DH is a complete "pillow destroyer" too, but doesnt mind the flat ones after his seemingly heavy head had mangled them😂 I've literally had these less than two months, mine are still majestic... his are like two pieces of paper!!

Great tip about donating the old ones dancing . A sore throat is interesting... i had an intense one for a day around 7dpo??? Promising!!

confused Slightly over work too!!! I don't mind working, but would love a job where i sit down!! Standing is so tiring!! Defo ring the MW re. Slapped cheek, it's probably fine but better not to take chances.

Excellent nights sleep seven 😴

I've got mad whatsapp groups but always space for another!!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 24/05/2017 08:16

In favour of waiting - I'm also really up for at least a month of intense yoga - back to 4 x a week I hope, to get my strength up. Super annoying that I've missed almost two months of it. Went to the new lu lu lemon store on regent street yesterday and got some lovely new yoga crop tops and maybe also a sports bikini that I don't need

Mummyme87 · 24/05/2017 08:26

dancing when is testing day for you? Fingers and toes crossed for you

buzz you would be better off doing a GBS screen privately (you can get a test online for £35). NHS don't routinely screen and when it is picked up on random swans the swans are not correct for screening, also have a high rate of false pos and neg. GBS is also transient so comes and goes, could test positive today and negative next month.... for birth the advice is to test at 36weeks so will likely get any positive results for when you deliver although not fool proof. I'm doing a private screen at 10/40 as recommended by one of my consultants at work due to DS' meningitis at birth, he's pretty convinced it was GBS that caused it so if I test positive early on he recommends oral penicillin V every 6weeks until birth.

I'm up for whatsapp group as well, who is setting it up?

grumpy good news your CBFM is playing ball for you. Im planning on a scan in EPU over the weekend for some reassurance

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 24/05/2017 08:33

Yes I'll set up the what's app group - pm your numbers to me ladies and I'll get it going later today. Be easier to swap photos and stuff

OP posts:
DancingUnicorn · 24/05/2017 08:50

Testing day should definitely be Monday at the earliest. But I'm testing on Saturday. 😳 I'm 7dpo today. Have been looking back at my pre pregnancy symptoms, and it mostly seemed to be nausea and sore boobs. No sore boobs yet, so assuming I'm not preggo! He weird hip pain is annoying though.
