Hi girls,
Utterly dessert news about Manchester, targeting kids and families and young girls, it doesn't get more despicable than that! Also lived in Manchester and have lots of family there, really hits close to home!
Loving the stories of how you all met! I met my DH in a taxi we ended up sharing in the way home from a night out, we had never met but turns out we lived 5minutes away from each other our whole lives and had loads of friends in common so it was great, we are together 10 years this October!
parsnips blanket is beautiful, wish I was creative!
grumpy you are right to acknowledge your pregnancy, it happened and it was important and the talking to others helps, makes you realise how common it all is!

HbH · 23/05/2017 13:30

Ah sounds like it was always meant to be mrsC

Sorry some of the preggos aren't sleeping well. I found things worse in the first month or so, would lie awake for 2/3 hours, so frustrating! Currently isn't too bad... only one loo break and provided DH isn't snoring in my ear all good. Have you guys invested in a huge pillow/nest situation yet? Won't help the heat or weeing but they look so comfy! I almost bought one a couple of years ago when my sis was preggo cos it looked soooooooo good!

I'm weird today, my heart feels like it's beating strangely and my vision blacked out earlier. Im hoping some lunch and a can of coke will cure it! Would like some advice but seems too small to call anyone about!

DancingUnicorn · 23/05/2017 13:37

I'm trying to share my story with people personally, but it's harder than it should be. My oh would hate me to put it on fb, but I've told way more people than knew I was pregnant because not telling people makes me really, really anxious. Went out for drinks last week with someone who didn't know and spent the whole time shaking because I was sure I'd be asked about pregnancy stuff. I wasn't, but I should have just told her. I wouldn't have done a big pregnancy announcement anyway, as my in laws from my first marriage are on fb, and I know it will upset them. My kids would have been their grandchildren. I think I'm living in one huge mess of emotion at the moment. Definitely bringing up a lot of other memories.

Hb hope you're feeling better soon. If it carries on, definitely call the mw for advice! It's not too small.

Spreading the love today, because our world needs it so much. ❤️❤️

TheGrumpySquirrel · 23/05/2017 18:27

Dancing that must be really tough. Totally understand the massive mix of emotions. I still can't really believe this all happened to me. I'd just got over my anxiety about actually BEING pregnant!

Another ok day at work just exhausted from last nights crying. DH is home early for once and I just know he's annoyed because I'm not home when I said I would be (welcome to my life thanks AARGH). Stuck at Stockwell right now - too crowded to get on a train Angry

Seven0fNine · 23/05/2017 18:57

Hb Deffo see someone about that, doesn't sound too small. Better to be safe xx

Grumpy I think it's good you shared your bump. Sounds like you did what you needed to do. I can't imagine the pain of what you girls are going through.

parsnips she's so cute. My cat is my baby kitten and she is 5.

HeyJupiter · 23/05/2017 19:08

Hb How are you feeling now? Is your heart still feeling strange? I got some palpitations a few weeks ago but they’ve passed. Definitely contact your midwife if doesn’t improve. Blood pressure okay? In terms of pregnancy pillows I got a dreamgenii at the weekend as apparently it’s good for pelvic pain and stabilising your pelvis during sleep. I’m already starting to get ligament pain in my pelvis although likely to do with the fact that I have hypermobile joints anyway. Doesn’t bode well for the rest of the pregnancy but going to self-refer to physio next week. Just trying to do little things now (like this) to try and prevent a major problem later.

Dancing it’s a hard thing to share but hope you’ve received love and positivity when you have. I don’t think anyone of us can know how we would feel when faced with what you have so have to take it a day at a time and a person at a time if you know what I mean. Agree about sharing the love today, that’s beautiful.

grumpy I hope you have a restful evening lovely Flowers Crying to that extent it physically and emotionally so draining. Might have been a good thing for you though, even if it doesn't feel like it yet.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 23/05/2017 19:09

Apparently he's not annoyed. Classic projection ha! Just got wires crossed.

Hope everyone is doing ok this evening. I can't bring myself to properly read the news, those poor kids.

I've graduated to panty liners woo hoo! At least these aren't fucking scented.. whose genius idea was that.. a man I bet! So I was thinking of yoga tonight but it's a tough class.. maybe next week. Thursday is an easier one but I think I'm meant to be out with clients Sad

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 23/05/2017 19:11

@HbH I get palpitations occasionally. It's scary (as hypertension runs in my family) but doesn't seem to have caused any issues so have tried not to worry about it..

MrsC2017 · 23/05/2017 19:12

Evening, in floods watching the footage of Manchester, beautiful girls just needlessly killed its horrendous and so hard to believe that there is evil like that in the world.
hb that could be low blood pressure, no harm getting it checked out at all.
grumpy I hope you get some rest this evening once u get home xx
dancing really feel for you love, so difficult trying to deal with what happened and finding that it stirs up so many other emotions, big love to you and sorry you're feeling so anxious xx

Made it through day 2 anyway!

MrsC2017 · 23/05/2017 19:14

jupiter I've also been referred to physio due to my previous problems, hoping it helps!
grumpy just laughed out loud at scented panty liners 😂

HeyJupiter · 23/05/2017 19:19

MrsC did you have SPD (is that what it's called?) Glad day 2 went okay :)

buzzmoon · 23/05/2017 19:21

Ooh jupiter have you tried the pillow? Is it good? Think I'm going to crack out the fan tonight

hb are you feeling better?

grumpy do you have to go out with clients?

Glad you made it through day 2 mrs!

Going to see my boss tomorrow, to tell or not to tell 🤔

HbH · 23/05/2017 19:33

God, I've only heard snippets of the news on the radio, kind of avoiding it a bit like you GrumpySad

Good plan with the physio jupiter, like you say, good to treat things when they're small & manageable. Really keen for a huge pillow but don't really need one yet... although i have graduated to three pillows which is helping with the sleep for some reason.

I'm no stranger to palpitations, I've had them for years and they couldn't find a cause. The difference today was it was quite prolonged rather than a short isolated incident. This afternoon has been fine tho. I've got a blood pressure monitor so might check it out of interest after dinner! I'm seeing the MW in two weeks for the screening blood test so will raise it then if anything further!

Some nice sun this evening to cheer things up!

HbH · 23/05/2017 19:34

Eeek buzz where does your promo stand?? Have you got anything definite now?? Or can you hold off a tad longer till you do?

buzzmoon · 23/05/2017 19:51

So the hr woman responsible for sorting it out has just got a new job starting on June 8th 😱 so now I've no idea, need to speak to her before she goes. I ideally wanted to wait another month but stupid dps friends know now and gossip spreads like wildfire in the office 😔 feeling pretty shit about it actually which I know is silly, DP said everyone will be happy for us and it doesn't even matter if I didn't get promoted because we'd be fine but still!! I don't think he gets how hard it is for us to go back to work after and everything be normal!

Hope your bp is normal hb!

MrsC2017 · 23/05/2017 19:52

No jupiter but I extensively damaged my pelvic floor during my last labour, I want a csection this time, they haven't agreed yet but am going to push for it (yes I see the irony of push 😂) at my next appointment (pelvic floor is only one of the reasons) so had lots of physio after and am in ok shape now but they re referred me to keep on top of it during the pregnancy!

Springersprung · 23/05/2017 19:52

Evening ladies. I hope everyone's aches, pains etc. are easing off for the evening. I realise that's probably a vain hope, but still, the hope is there. I have spent the day starting to write reports for my class and avoiding the news as it has been making me teary. Grumpy I know what you mean about wanting to exercise. I Can't decide if Thursday is too early to go back to circuits.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 23/05/2017 19:58

Yes buzz you need the new role and pay in writing first. Just say you've eaten too much cake recently Grin

yeah I do need to at least have a drink with these clients on Thursday unfortunately. I've got Friday off so going to go to early morning yoga then off to the Audi showroom!!

Hb I want more pillows in my life.. bought DD some super fluffy new ones and she wasn't even that excited lol. I may steal them. Hope your MW can help investigate the palpitations and it's nothing serious xx

MrsC bless you thank you I am at home now and chilling out after eating CRISPY DUCK IN PANCAKES WITH HOI SIN SAUCE and wine - twas amazing, my DH is a gem. I am glad that day 2 of your new job went ok.

Jupiter that sounds sensible- I hope the pain doesn't get worse for you. My crying yesterday was so out of control but yes maybe I needed it.

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 23/05/2017 20:00

@Springersprung I was back at the gym 2 weeks after my ERPC. I wanted to feel good about doing something with and for my body. I think it's absolutely your choice - if you feel strong enough (physically and mentally) then go and try and you can always drop out if you need to; if you don't feel quite right then don't rush it - you have all the time in the world x

TheGrumpySquirrel · 23/05/2017 20:00

Springer I guess a circuits class is hard to take a break if you feel faint or tired in... I'd worry about you! I'm fully expecting only being able to do about half my yoga class.

buzzmoon · 23/05/2017 20:02

Ooh grumpy have you decided what to go for?? I've always wanted a Q3!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 23/05/2017 20:02

2 weeks seems reasonable. It's only been a week for me and I think similar for springer right? Neither of us had ERPC. How's your bleeding now springer?

TheGrumpySquirrel · 23/05/2017 20:03

Buzz I don't know yet. My head says A4 avant but my heart says TT! DH will have a fit

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 23/05/2017 20:07

Yes, of course. I was just explaining what happened in my case x What I was really trying to say was that I went back as soon as I felt like I could, but that every person's timeline is individual.

buzzmoon · 23/05/2017 20:10

Haha grumpy do you have another car? Like a family car? If so go for the TT for sure!! If not, go for the A4
