Sorry for the BFNs ladies. Here's hoping next cycle is a lucky one.
I'm 4dpo (I think!) and desperately symptom spotting as have had a few crampy twinges. Probs lining myself up for some major disappointment as I dare to think that we could've maybe got lucky this month. 8 more days until I can test 😩

Emz01 · 09/05/2017 10:12

Sorry to hear about bfn's/af's girls.

@BlueeSpottyTiger a dark opk right before af due could be a good sign! The same thing happened to me in Jan and I turned out to be pregnant! FX for you!

PhoenixMama · 09/05/2017 10:15

Blue I think you need to do a FRER! OPKs can work but I know pregnant women who have peed on them with varying results. A false positive would suck! Did you use an OPK this month to determine that you ov'd?

Phoenix yes! I was using opks and temping and I ovulated on the 27th. So im defintaly 12dpo, usually ny lp is only 12days but af isn't due until Thursday so maybe it might arrive tomorrow instead 🤔 i tested negative on a frer on sunday so i don't think im pregnant.. im just confused. I have no more hpts left.. I've ordered some IC's that should arrive tomorrow or Thursday.
emz oh thats good! I hope it is a good sign.. I've just been googling them and its a bit of a mixed bag!

You never know, maybe something's changed within those two days and it was just too early. FX!

DT2016 · 09/05/2017 11:15

Ooh keep us posted bluespottytiger

PhoenixMama · 09/05/2017 12:05

Nice nails Blue! I agree with Unicorn that you might have been too early?

MrsHandles · 09/05/2017 12:58

Thank you @sallywiththegoodhurr I'm just looking for any sign, positive or negative.

I ended up doing an OPK this morning and there was a faint second line on it. I'm 2 days before I can do a test.

Hi ladies, have just caught up from the last thread.

Can any of you advise me how much diet can effect fertility please? Both me and my husband are a healthy weight, but we don't eat too well - often snacking on high sugar foods and sometimes overeating. I am TERRIBLE at eating fruit - I eat veg everyday with dinner and have started taking salad for lunch, but am concerned that our diet could be having an impact on us not conceiving?? Any advise would be appreciated! Thanks girls x

DontBuyANewMumCashmere · 09/05/2017 19:26

Not medically trained
Grin
Surely it can't make much of a difference as humanity has continued to breed very well despite poor diet, ill health, weight etc issues

However I have cut down on alcohol and caffeine and take folic acid when I'm ttc. I am also a healthy weight (DH is obese) but I eat lots of sugar. I have conceived quickly twice and have a healthy 2yo DD but one mc when I wasn't taking folic acid and was drinking a lot, over Christmas.
Sure it's just bad luck but now trying to be more health conscious again. Never a bad thing Smile

boatrace30 · 09/05/2017 20:03

As long as you have a regular cycle I doubt it's affecting things too badly.
However it's not a bad thing to be healthier and certainly if you do conceive it's a good plan to eat plenty of fruit and veg so good to get in good habits I guess. But if you are healthy weight etc I really doubt it's effecting your chances of conceiving

boatrace30 · 09/05/2017 20:05

Oh and you actually sound a lot like us neate. Both DH and I are on the cusp of overweight, but do snack badly and portion size definitely an issue!
I bought a nutribullet to up fruit and veg intake and it's brilliant.

BertieBotts · 09/05/2017 20:27

Erm UnglamorousMum, this is very... unglamorous, (:o) but if you have a toddler or primary school aged child it could be worms?? I know when I catch them from DS I get itchy lady bits. I really hope not but might be time for a sneaky ovex just in case before you get a BFP as you can't take it when pregnant, and the hygiene method to get rid of them doesn't work half as fast.

juneybean · 09/05/2017 21:59

I just had some spotting when I wiped so it's either IB or I'm out....

MissDollyMix · 09/05/2017 22:01

So my nipples were a bit sore this evening (nothing, I'm sure to do with the excess prodding I'm doing trying to ascertain if my boobs are indeed sore Grin) and I decided to POAS. It was predictably a BFN. Even if, in the very unlikely instance that inwas pregnant it was far too early to test anyway so I'm not to disappointed. Should have seen me squinting at the strip though. Think I went cross eyed at one point! Will wait until the weekend before I test again. Ordered some more Internet cheapies as can see I'm going to get through a few!

Cycle 1!
CD 5
AF due approx 31st May - 2nd June

I've only just joined today as we decided tonight to start trying this cycle. I'm banned from ovulation tests until we've been trying for 6 months as my partner wants it to be "natural and fun" so it's guesswork for me. I just came off of the pill and had my withdrawal bleed so my AF dates are approximate! Feeling very excited.

As a side note, what vitamins (brand etc) are you ladies taking?

juneybean · 09/05/2017 23:00

Welcome lol I take Morrison's own pregnancy care but have tried seven seas trying for a baby in the past.

juneybean · 09/05/2017 23:00

lil ** sorry!

LilSnooze · 10/05/2017 00:16

Ahh I didn't know Morrisons did their own brand. I'm going to pick up some vitamins tomorrow, tbh I don't think there would be much difference between branded and non-branded with vitamins right?

lookatthemoon · 10/05/2017 04:22

Welcome Lil! I take Elevit (I get it in Aus). But there is no difference between branded and non branded. I think you only really need to take folic acid. Check your vit D levels as well as I had to take extra vit D when I was pregnant.

Juney - hopefully it is IB! When is AF due?

MotherofBoy · 10/05/2017 05:39

I take pregnacare conception but only cos they have everything in it and couldn't be arsed to shop around! They are quite expensive tho and make your wee go a yellow orange...

5dpo here so nothing to report. Had a bigger temp rise this morning which is reassuring as my temps had been pretty close to cover line til now!

BlueeSpottyTiger · 10/05/2017 06:46

I just use tescos own. They do them in a ginger & lemon 'Melt' aswell and actually taste nice. They all have the same stuff in anyway.. I've been taking them for 27months now lol as i never stopped after having dd as they are for pre, post and breastfeeding.. it's part of my daily routine now 😅

BlueeSpottyTiger · 10/05/2017 06:48

Im on 13dpo.. my longest lp by 1 day.. normally i make it to 12dpo and then af starts that day!
Still can't test to either this afternoon or tomorrow depending on when they come. And another postive opk 24hours after my last one...strange!
