Congrats 18mnths, Cashmere & Deepatel Smile

MotherofBoy · 15/05/2017 12:06

Congrats 18mnths, cashmere and deepatel!

deepatel - wait a couple weeks then call your gp to make an 8bweek booking in appointment with the midwife. And start taking folic acid and vitamin d if you aren't already!

Deepatel · 15/05/2017 12:35

Thanks all - not convinced yet it wasn't a trick of the light or something. Also had a mc at about 5 weeks last time so won't relax for a few more weeks. Getting early scan I think, if it is for real. Will do another test tomorrow.
Thanks all for words of advice and support. Will keep my fx for you all Flowers

MrsHandles · 15/05/2017 13:18

PhoenixMama · 15/05/2017 15:05

Whooohooo Unicorn, Cashmere, Deepate & 18months!

Had my iui today in Copenhagen so the tww is just beginning! I had this crazy idea to test every day from 5 days into the tww. My thought process was that I'll feel like I'm doing it, I won't be fighting the urge to test and I'll be used to getting bfns. Is this the craziest idea ever?

poppylou27 · 15/05/2017 17:07

@PhoenixMama as long as you use IC, it could et expensive testing everyday lol!
Congratulations to all the ladies with your bfps!
Xxxxxx

poppylou27 · 15/05/2017 17:07

*get

juneybean · 15/05/2017 17:10

Ahh phoenix how did you find the IUI? Fingers crossed for you xxx

BertieBotts · 15/05/2017 17:12

If my DH wasn't staunchly against the idea of testing, I'd be testing every month from stupidly early too! BFNs don't really bother me, and I like obsessing over a squinter Grin (DH thinks I'm totally nuts...)

PhoenixMama · 15/05/2017 17:33

Hi Juney - iui was soooo fast and easy! A friend (I've told her to come join us her!) had hers today too & was in a theatre, she was gowned up, etc and it hurt like hell poor thing.

Mine was - whip your knickers off, onto the chair, scootch your bum forwards, check your dob and we're done! I didn't even realise she had the catheter in! Blush Now I'm in the dreaded tww!

PhoenixMama · 15/05/2017 17:35

And yes Poppy they'd be ic! But then I have 2 frers on standby and one cb digital cuz I'm an idiot who wants to actually see the words!

juneybean · 15/05/2017 18:09

Ooh you were lucky!! I had a shy cervix Hmm took them ages to get the speculum in place haha. NHS made me gown up too!

Got all my fingers and toesies crossed for you! Do you feel it was timed well?

c0c01979 · 15/05/2017 18:41

Awww loving seeing all these BFP's, and hoping the baby train stops at lots more stations in June. I tried a FRER today at 13dpo but got a BFN Sad run out of hope I think though I still have symptoms. AF due Weds.

poppylou27 · 15/05/2017 18:50

@PhoenixMama I'd be the same! I have about 10 IC at the ready and a digital on standby.. My DP doesn't believe it until he sees the words so as soon as I (hopefully hopefully hopefully) start squinting at faint lines I'll have to pop out the digital to make him believe it!

Deepatel · 15/05/2017 19:26

Thank you for all the congrats, fingers crossed for the rest of you xx sending positive vibes x

pickle162 · 15/05/2017 19:52

Hi all.

I haven't had a chance to catch up with everything, will try and do so tomorrow when feel more like a human.

I'm the friend @PhoenixMama was on about.
Had first iui done today, took every ounce of strength I had to not say "get it out" was in so so so much pain. Feel exhausted and still a bit sore but yay for tww.
My test day is 2nd June because I have a day 3 and 8 pregnyl injection for luteal support which delays when I can test.
Having said that I may test out the trigger with ovulation tests.... I haven't really decided but can't do anything for at least 8 days so just going to try forget about it for a while. Got tomorrow off work to rest and recoup

Good luck to everyone for lots of bfp's 😊

juneybean · 15/05/2017 20:15

Good luck pickle xx

MotherofBoy · 15/05/2017 20:39

Juney - I was a little stressed on timing as I got a peak opk on Sat night (purple) at 11pm (and a pink positive on Sunday am) and then the iui wasn't until Monday morning (9:20). I usually don't do opks at night but of course I would have with this one! 🙄 That said I also got myself all confused with my dates vs the actual date so it got a bit muddled.

The bottom line is I think I caught a very early bit of my surge at 11pm Sat. Let's say I ov'd 24 hours later at 9:20 the egg would still be alive so we should be ok. I had def ov'd as of this morning- just hopefully not too much before treatment!

KubaLeebre · 16/05/2017 07:07

BFN and AF due tomorrow. Reckon I'm definitely out.

Urgh, I think I'm going to just go the 'natural' root next month, this is quite stressful!
