We are a bunch of ladies who are either

  • humping (TTC)
  • by humping yet (waiting to TTC)
  • humped (BFP)

And everything in between!

We've had 8 BFPs since January (and counting!) and we love a bit of lucky lube and a squinter on 9DPO - come and join the madness!

Confused the doctors didn't say anything at all about when normal cycle may resume. A leaflet I got in the hospital said 4-6 weeks, but from my googling it seems it could be whenever. I suppose FW could be later, I might keep using opks just to try and keep track a bit.

How far along are you now? Can you really feel the baby?! That's amazing, what does it feel like?

DancingUnicorn · 18/04/2017 07:34

Para my surgeon said treat surgery as cd1 and to roughly expect af at the normal time after that. But that if it hadn't happened within 6 weeks to let them know. I have short cycles (26d) normally, so 6 weeks seems like an age!

JB1983 · 18/04/2017 08:21

I'm glad you feel ready to try again para, it's. It often we are cheering on an AF to arrive but I hope you get yours so you can get on with a new cycle.

Sorry tigger that your feeling rubbish although I am glad you got some close time with DH. Hopefully you feel a. It better today.

confused that's lovely that your news is binging your family together. That's exciting if you feel baby moving. grumpy bless your mum.

Well I'm CD17 today and OPKs are still pretty weak lines, EWCM only kicked in to gear yesterday so looks like I'm not ovulating until the usual CD19/20 or at all. However back at home so lots of opportunities to catch that egg hopefully

otters2017 · 18/04/2017 10:59

Thanks for all the support. Was just feeling so down yesterday and thinking that it was never going to happen. Got a flashing smiley today so feeling hopeful again Smile the emotional rollercoaster of TTC is just unbelievable

grumpy you're getting to be a pro at flying now. Glad the announcements went well. I have thought about French women drinking wine and eating cheese throughout their pregnancy. Clearly not much of an issue there!

tigger sorry you're feeling crap but glad you and DH are supporting each other. Hope the bleeding will stop quickly. Maybe just a little sensitive after what's happened?

dancing how are you doing ? Are you still bleeding?

confused it's great that this brings you closer to your family. Very exciting that you can feel baby moving.

jb I know exactly how you feel. I'm only 2 days behind you in the cycle. Hopefully it's a late ovulation rather than non ovulation. Good luck and Fx for you!

JB1983 · 18/04/2017 11:10

Thanks, good luck to you too otters, don't lose hope.

Penguin27 · 18/04/2017 11:10

Fx for imminent ov for you both, jb and otters!

How is everyone today? DH and I have this week off work, so we're going to Winchester for a city break for a couple of days.

Parastars · 18/04/2017 11:54

Thanks Dancing I'll see what happens then! I didn't ovulate when I would normally so that's the only other thing.
I know, JB this is the only time I will be cheering for AF when she arrives! She can stay away then Grin

Tigger83 · 18/04/2017 12:15

Well went to dr as I was still feeling rough this morning. Now sat in a&e Confused got to have another scan

DancingUnicorn · 18/04/2017 12:34

Oh no tigger. Hope it's all ok. 💐

Tigger83 · 18/04/2017 12:36

Bit fed up by it all to be honest

DancingUnicorn · 18/04/2017 12:40

I'm not surprised tigger. It really sucks. And it's just so crap waiting for everything to be back to normal. Is your oh with you?

Will really hope the scan shows they got it all first time and they can give you painkillers to help with the cramping. ❤

Tigger83 · 18/04/2017 13:07

No oh back at work we're both supposed to be today. Just had loads of bloods taken. Just want this all to be over with. Thought it was going really well and that I was coping well I guess these things are sent to try us

DancingUnicorn · 18/04/2017 13:10

I had a few days of feeling ok and then crashed. Really hope they can help quickly. Sorry you are on your own. I'm with you there in spirit. ❤

buzzmoon · 18/04/2017 13:18

Happy Tuesday everyone, only 3 days to go till the weekend yay!

jupiter I'm sure you'll get your scan date soon after booking in, it will be fine!

hb the coldness has hit me the past few days, I'm absolutely freezing!! Hope you're feeling okay!

So glad to hear all your announcements went well, all the reactions are brilliant! You all have amazing families :)

parsnips glad you've decided to ignore that woman!

confused sounds like you had a lovely day despite everything! My MIL (as expected) had told people too, I keep getting messages of well wishes and I'm like Hmm so excited that you can feel movements!!

Glad you're feeling ready to try para hope it goes well 🤞🏽

dancing sorry it's a positive. That's shit. Sending lots of ❤️

Sorry you're feeling shit tigger - hope the scan goes well and the cramping eases. Can you get something stronger for the pain? ❤️❤️❤️

Keep humping otters! Keeping everything crossed for you and jb!

confusedat23 · 18/04/2017 14:04

Grumpy It is so awkward having to actually announce it isn't it!

Para Are you going to go back to EPU if AF has not even tried to make an appearance by 6 weeks?

Dancing What CD are you now? Are you and DH still going to wait for proper AF?

JB Do you normally get a build up on OPKS? I literally used to get pretty much blank ones until I got the positive and then it was really obvious!

Penguin have you been to Winchester before? I had a friend who went to Uni there so stayed a few times... its a really nice place!

Tigger have they mentioned anything about retained products? I am so sorry this is happening to you! Hopefully you just have a bit of a bug and it was not related to ERPC.. Did they say when they are going to scan you?

Buzz my MIL has actually kept the secret surprisingly! although I think she was a little miffed to find out my parents hadn't but then I guess it's just everyone's choice... DH would be really angry if my inlaws told anyone so I guess thats where we differ =)

Jupiter Your booking in must be coming up soon surely? It feels like ages since you got BFP... I did not get my scan date until my booking in appointment as the letter was already in my folder!

Tigger83 · 18/04/2017 15:46

Been given strong antibiotics but they can't scan me till tomorrow Confused

DancingUnicorn · 18/04/2017 15:50

So frustrating Tigger. Have they given you painkillers? Hopefully antibiotics kick in really quickly. Hope you're ok to get home. Thinking of you! 💐

Penguin27 · 18/04/2017 16:46

Oh tigger that's awful Sad Have you been sent home and asked to come back tomorrow?

Confused yeah I've been here before but not for a long time and never as a "tourist". It's very pretty!

otters2017 · 18/04/2017 16:47

tigger hope the antibiotics work and that the scan will give answers tomorrow. So sorry to hear about you having to sit in a&e on your own! Do you know the blood results and/or what they were testing for? Sending lots of ❤ and hugs Flowers

HeyJupiter · 18/04/2017 17:03

Oh Tigger, how rubbish for you, I’m so sorry. How are you feeling now you’re home? Is there definitely an infection hence the anti-bs? or is it just to cover all bases.

Dancing did you call EPU in the end? Are you still bleeding?

confused that’s amazing about feeling the baby move! What does it feel like? My booking in appointment is Monday when I’ll be 9+2 (although really it’s more like 9+4 as I ovulated early.) It has felt like a million years but so happy it’s around the corner. My midwife has the name of a very famous hollywood actress which amuses me every time I see the appointment letter :)

Ohh JB good luck on catching the egg!

otters yay for the flashing smiley! It’s such a good feeling. Could easily go static in the next day or so…

Penguin have a fab time in Winchester!

First day back to work tomorrow. Dreading it a bit. Is anyone else struggling with dizzy spells? I have naturally low blood pressure anyway but mine has gone down to 105/55 so it’s the bottom/diastolic reading which is particularly low. Hope it’s okay. Haven’t passed out or anything, but do need to keep going and sitting down/head between legs etc.

buzzmoon · 18/04/2017 17:55

Oh tigger that sucks! Did you get painkillers? So annoying they can't scan you!

jupiter sorry you're feeling dizzy! Are you eating and drinking lots? I feel dead today, I spoilt myself with a very lazy napping day yesterday and work has been a shock :( but yay! Only 6 days till your app! :)

DancingUnicorn · 18/04/2017 18:14

Jupiter I struggled with dizziness too. I asked the midwife for advice, and she just kinda said there wasn't a lot they could do but that if it was persistent and severe that I should see the GP.

I rang the EPU today and the nurse said to expect a positive test for 3-4 weeks!! Which is very different to what others say by all accounts, but she didn't seem worried. Said to go in if I start bleeding again (it stopped, woohoo!) or if I have any pain. My treatment has been really good there, so much so that I've stopped looking at houses!! so I guess I need to relax and trust them. Had a first go at dtd last night, which proved we are very out of practice at using condoms. 😳

Tigger83 · 18/04/2017 18:18

Bloods ok, urine shows an infection just about. Very tender around kidneys and bowel as well as uterus. Sent home with antibiotics and they'll call in the morning to confirm if they can scan tomorrow. Cervix is looking good with some bloody discharge but pretty much closed and normal. No pain killers got some codeine and paracetamol.

Anyway let's see what tomorrow brings.

Hope everyone else is doing ok!

Parastars · 18/04/2017 18:22

Oh Tigger I'm so sorry you're still having to go through all the physical side of things as well as obviously having to cope with the emotional side. Really rubbish they couldn't scan you today. Sending you lots of love for tomorrow, hope it's straightforward and the antibiotics kick in quickly.

Confused I definitely would contact EPU if no sign of AF by 6 weeks. However...first bit of positive news in a while - I think I may be in the run up to ovulating. Just had an almost positive on an opk. Woop! Things are hopefully working and getting back to normal. Now I have the dilemma of whether to go for it with DH or wait for AF...

Jupiter I had dizziness too. Think it's hormones isn't it. Hope it goes away...it's annoying more than anything isn't it!

JB1983 · 18/04/2017 18:22

Tigger sorry your feeling so rotten. Hopefully the antibiotics kick in quickly and scan is ok.

That's exciting jupiter that your booking appointment is coming up soon. Maybe the midwives will have some good advice about overcoming the dizziness.

Enjoy your holiday penguin

confused from my limited experience of OPKs for me the lines get gradually darker but there is no mistaking a positive and the surge seems to last a while (2-3 days of positives). I'm not sure if that's a bad sign or not but will just keep humping and see what happens over the next few months 🙈
